Schnucks customer for years, but honestly their rewards program is pretty horrible. Upfront is ok-you load the app, sign up for rewards, enter your phone number checking out and you get points to get $ rewards to apply against future purchases. But Schnucks makes it way too complicated to actually redeem the points. Can"t redeem in self checkout. Can't apply to certain purchases like alcohol. Have to sign into your app during checkout with a person, find my rewards (not intuitive at all), and hand your phone to the clerk to scan the barcode. Any basic process review identifies way better ways to do this. Makes me think Schnucks doesn't want me to redeem those points. Hmmm... read more

We live within ten minutes of the OFallon IL Schnucks and even though it is a full service grocery store it is great to pop in for something quick. The parking lot is large, well lit and clean. I enjoy running in and picking up a few things or especially like to get flowers for my wife. I recently got some white hydrangeas that were gorgeous and surprised my wife. I was surprised the next morning when a double bunch was completely wilted. I returned with a photo of the flowers and evidence of the charges and the store replaced both bunches without question. This might be one of the cleanest Schnucks on the Illinois side. From the carts to the aisles and to the nicely displayed food and beverages, this Schnucks can be your one stop shop. Now this location is not a large grocery store, which I view as a plus. They have what most shoppers need for groceries. I think I would've given this Schnucks five stars if they had the self checkout to avoid the long lines. No problem though. They have some of the friendliest staff. read more

As I can't seem to find any place else to make a written complaint. I will do it Here. William on the front end was actively abusive to his co worker. They started when I asked how his day was and he immediately began complaining about his co-worker. I tried to remain quiet through the rest of my order as he continued to be rate her and she attempted to defend herself. I realized I had brought the wrong card and asked if he could pull by groceries while I went home to get the right card. He suspended my order and allowed me to go home to get the right card, which I appreciate, Going to get my card and be turning to the store took between ten and fifteen minutes. Upon return I got my groceries and got back in line so that he could unsuspend me so I could pay. The same co-worker noticed I was back in line and asked if I needed any help. He proceeded to lay into her again. She expressed that she was feeling attacked, He began mocking her for feeling attacked. I was a customer in line, I felt attacked. Has anyone does when they are standing in front of someone who was firing at another person. Actively right now looking to see what other stores are in the area that I could go to instead of this store. I have a strong suspicion that there is a racial aspect to why he was attacking his co-worker. The fact that he felt so comfortable doing this in front of me. In front of other customers and on 2 occasions within 15 minutes. This as all I need to know about this store and this company. While I have seen this behavior amongst the customers. This is the first time I saw one of the employees behaving this way. It's not acceptable, and I refuse to be accepting of it. read more

I have always been treated well at this store. Employees are kind and helpful. Recently I had surgery and I can not do my shopping. For the first time EVER I have placed an order for some groceries. My husband picked up the order. First, placing one item in a bag is quite wasteful. Doing it several times is a bit ridiculous. Second, I ordered a big bowl of diced watermelon for nearly $20. It looked dodgy, to begin with. Then The piece I had "FIZZED" in my mouth. Not what is supposed to happen to Watermelon. I just can't believe it. I felt like I was purposely given fruit that was close to this stage and just needed to be gotten rid of. $20 down the tube. The store is 30 minutes from my house and I can't make the trip. Who doesn't love double and triple coupon weeks? This week was a triple coupon week and I was very happy that they kept up with there stocking. Nothing was out. Unlike the location on Carlyle in Belleville, they were out of a ton of stuff. This store seems very clean everytime I come in here. There prices are your normal 30%+ markup next to walmart and Target, however, you can generally find a good deal on certain items. There coupon weeks more than make up for it. To bad they don't make staple coupons such as milk, cheese...etc.... I will usually frequent these stores when i'm looking for a better selection of cheese and there produce looks fantastic, but you have to pay those fantastic prices for it. This is where I get most of my groceries. I have been going here since 2015 and I must say it has improved quite a bit in the last 18 months. They renovated in 2018 with updated signs, paint, etc. and the brand overhauled its rewards program. They have also added a lot of healthier food options and variety. The produce is usually fresh and its priced right for the area. The deli is very popular and has a variety of food options. The meat and fish counters are pretty standard and a tad pricey. There are a lot more beer and wine choices as well. There is NO self-checkout at this location, but it's never been a problem because they usually have at least three-four lanes open. Staff is usually nice, but there is one cashier that I avoid because I am pretty sure they dont like me. The hours are also really great. read more

In general, I really like the Schnucks in O'Fallon, IL. It is more like a neighborhood grocery store. We have been buying and enjoying the fried cod cut ups there nearly every Friday, even before if was owned by Schnucks and was Hart Food and Drugs. This evening, I went as usual to purchase the fish for our dinner. My wife and I were disappointed. The breading used to be soft and tasty. Now is it hard, very crunchy and too salty. I hope that the manager did not change to this inferior breading to save a few dollars. If it states the same, we will no longer buy it. read more

Just review your charges for debit or credit! Schnuck's has had recent trouble with unauthorized charges to customer cards after the fact! Integrity on their part was lacking because they did not warn customers. Customers had to contact media before the word got out and it doubled the problem, and more people were affected! You can do better Schnucks! Do not ruin your good name and reputation! Stay on top of complaints from your customers, and warn to public earlier rather than later for potential problems such as this! This is a smaller Schnucks. I consider it my "not-schnucks". It does not have the amenities of newer stores. Not as good of selection, Not as good of meat department. Not a very good Seafood department. There is Not a cooks corner. That said the people are exceptionally nice here. I do come here, although rarely, since it is the closest Schnucks. The pluses: They do have a Kaldi's coffee. They do have a "meal deal" where you get free items for purchasing other meal ingredients. The double and triple coupons are nice, although there are times when due their limited selection they do not have the couponed items? The negatives: 1. They have a ridiculous policy of not accepting more than 3 checks a week. This discourages frequent shoppers. I used to go to the pharmacy for both my parents and I, and go there quite frequently. 2. Because of the above policy, I started using my ATM card. Only to have my personal information stolen. Because of their inane policy, and shitty security for frequent customers, I am now a happy Dierbergs customer. As of this writing I am the Dierbergs "yelp duke". I would encourage anyone who shops here to 1. Try Dierbergs, and if you must, 2. Pay in cash. However I will come back for the triple coupons. But only for the "free" items. read more

I really like the Kaldis at this Schnucks location. The manager does a great job. She's very friendly and gets to know her repeat customers. She keeps the dining area very clean. The deli is another story. It is poorly run. There is a lot of employee turnover so no one knows what is going on. There are a couple of employees who are friendly and helpful but a lot of the employees act like they are doing something away from the counters so they don't have to help the customers wanting to get lunch or any of the deli items. I go to this location for lunch at least twice per week and most days, no matter the time, the deli is chaos. The food is very good and I like the salad bar so that I why I go back but I am almost to the point that the poor customer service out weighs the good food. read more

Love love love Schnucks! The pharmacy worker was so nice with all the questions I had! The grocery store is just good quality. They have good carts (not crappy ones thay barley work like most grocery stores). Everything is always stocked I barley see anything out of stock (besides during COVID-19). The produce and prepared food selection didn't stand out to me. The prices weren't impressive. The only thing I liked was that they had a Kaldi coffee, otherwise, it seemed like a run down older and smaller grocery store.
