Sunday afternoon in the Fezziwig's garden.

Sitting in the Fezziwig's patio garden while enjoying a refreshing glass of rosé (and a good book) is pure bliss, and I can't recommend it enough. This place is an absolute gem (as is their lovely staff). Thank you!

This is by far some of the best tea I've ever had. My top three picks are Pumpkin Moon, Earl Grey Creme, and La Pattiserie!!

My husband and I booked a cabin at Hidden Lake Winery for our anniversary at the recommendation of…read morefamily who raved about their experiences there (although it had been a few years since they'd been). After reading some concerning negative reviews, especially with a very rainy weekend forecast, we worried about a lackluster atmosphere and being confined indoors. We even agreed to cut our losses on the cabin and leave early if the experience was truly as bad as some reviews suggested. Thankfully, our stay was the complete opposite--a delightful surprise that exceeded all of our expectations! The cabin was spotless, cozy, and beautifully maintained, with no bugs inside (despite plenty outside, as you'd expect with any cabin in the woods). The jacuzzi was clean and relaxing, and we enjoyed complimentary breakfasts of bottled water, orange juice, and delicious muffins. We were even charmed by playful and curious baby foxes outside the cabin one morning. One of which came right up and peeked through our door window! The winery itself was a highlight. The food and wine were phenomenal. Quick and good service as well. We didn't do a wine flight, but requested to taste different wines at the bar before buying a glass and there was no deposit charge for the glasses as some reviews mentioned. There was plenty of covered outdoor seating that let us enjoy the views and atmosphere, despite the rain. Indoors, the upstairs offered board games and stunning views. Bartender Jeremy and owner Steve were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to accommodate us with anything we needed, and even offered some great conversation! Steve's 3 dogs often accompany him to the winery and they are so gentle and sweet! You'll also find pictures of them throughout the inside of the winery! While heavy rain prevented us from hiking around the lake or to the waterfall, we had an amazing weekend. We can only imagine how amazing of an atmosphere it must be on a sunny day with live music! We left feeling grateful for such a wonderful anniversary and eager to return. I truly don't understand the negative reviews. Give this place a shot!

Absolutely beautiful location with nice areas to sit, relax and enjoy the outdoor atmosphere…read more Definitely recommend it for a venue or a place to relax and enjoy the afternoon. Unfortunately, all of the wines were slightly less than just OK. Definitely don't recommend any of them which was disappointing. The biggest negative was the fact they charge a five dollar glass fee for every glass to ensure you return it when you do a tasting. I've never seen this at a winery before. Frankly, most vineyards encourage you to take their glass so they have the enduring advertising. The highlight of our visit was the patriotic theme and sincere appreciation for our service members. Thank you for that.

I think there were only one or two other tables of guests when we went. Very minor critique, but the music played on the speakers didn't quite match the scenery. A rock music radio station was on for a majority of our time there, and it was a bit loud. We shared two bottles of wine, and both were super delicious. The service was fast, and employees were friendly and accomodating. We also ordered the Brie Charcuterie, which is served with baked brie, salami, grapes, and bread. It was good, but not necessarily worth $25 in my opinion. The salami to bread ratio was slightly off, but we asked for more bread, and an employee brought us more free of charge. For lunch, we all shared a flatbread and a burger. Both were great! Beautiful views and relaxing environment! I would come back.

Rockwell Beer Company earns the association honestly. I walk in wary (I don't drink beer, don't like it, and an industrial brewery hugging a busy four-lane street is not my native habitat), I get the sense I need to eat in the corner so people don't discover the non-beer drinker; however, I walked out humming. The reason is the food, sourced through Street Food by Brasas. This is not brewery food that apologizes for itself. Pretzels, wings, both worth ordering again. The pizzas (barbecue, pepperoni) land in that rare category of elevated bar snack. I'd happily return for a table's worth. It's order at the window food service, which is fine for their vibe, but it keeps the environment to a self-service lower warmth environment. We sat outside, which is nice IF you can find some shade on a hot summer evening. 3.9 out of 5 stars The atmosphere isn't built for me, but the kitchen is good enough that I'd get over it to spend an evening with my beer-drinking friends. What would push this higher: a space that compels me the way the plates do.

I enjoyed that quiet space for a bit and the afternoon air after the walk from Cortex made the wait feel intentional rather than inconvenient. Comfortable seating out here and the light breeze with the afternoon light was nice as I cranked out a few Yelp reviews before I spotted other customers going inside. After setting up at the huge table in the corner, I stepped up to the bar where I was warmly greeted. I chose their Fish Fry, which they call a light lager. It was in a huge mug and that worked out just fine for me as it lasted a while. Oh, and some chicken wings. These were tasty buggers. Served quite hot with a rub that was more spice than sauce. Very yummy and the two sauces were perfect accompaniment. Absolutely delicious. Not long after, friends arrived and I shifted from solo laptop time to conversation. It's nice to see how Rockwell handles the flow of customers. Casual, attentive, friendly. Just right for a great brewpub and a great time. They do have a parking lot. It was just an easy experience today and a great spot for a meetup or hanging out on your own. [Round number review 400 of 2026 - 498 in Missouri - 25583 overall]
