Attended winter dinner party hosted by Mo and crew which was an absolutely incredible time. A room full of strangers left as friends through an evening of good food, new cooking skills, and team work. A few highlights for me: 1)the staff. Super friendly, energetic, and engaging. They gave us autonomy when preparing our dishes, but still offered tons of bits of advice and tips for when we are at home preparing similar recipes. 2) the food. Everything we prepared was delicious. The recipes are simple so anybody can go home and replicate. But, still bursting with flavor. They are also versatile so many of the techniques, ingredients, and pairings can be applied to many dishes. 3) the energy. The space is super clean, designed with great intention, and full of awesome people. It feels like walking into a community even though to start we were all strangers. Many laughs, recommendations, and stories were shared through a night full of wonderful memories. Food is a binder for many of us. Fennel has done a superb job creating a safe community space for many to create sacred, intimate memories! Can't wait to get back and make more grub!

What an experience! I am no chef, I do not cook, and admittedly after a long workweek, all I wanted to do last night was veg on my couch and watch Netflix...but my hubs planned this special birthday dinner for our bestie Britt, and so I showed up hoping to fade into the background and let my hubs do the cooking. Little did I know that it was a hands-on experience for everyone involved. It was a BLAST! I couldn't believe I was making homemade pasta, but Jackie guided us every step of the way. What was so remarkable about the experience was how incredibly APPROACHABLE she made the entire process. I get overwhelmed easily in the kitchen, but she took care of me and coached me through it, and never once did I feel out of my element. Moreover, her kitchen studio space is just gorgeous and so well appointed. Her business is such a wonderful addition to the Midtown neighborhood! You'll see that in the final picture that her team members Gabby and Brooke set the table and plated the pastas beautifully. It was such a fitting celebration, and the FLAVORS of these pastas just blew our minds! She does corporate events, cooking classes, cocktail hours, and seeing how well she and her team executed, I am confident that she delivers. RUN, don't walk to Fennel Cooking Studio!

A memorable and approachable cooking experience. I recently attended their Feast of the Seven Fishes class, and it was outstanding from start to finish. The instructor and owner was incredibly personable and she made the entire evening both fun and educational. The class was organized into small stations of four people, which created a great balance between hands-on participation and a relaxed pace. Most ingredients were thoughtfully pre-portioned, allowing us to focus on final prep, mixing, chopping, and learning techniques rather than getting bogged down in excessive prep work. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, and each station worked together to create multiple dishes throughout the class. One highlight was cooking a whole fish using a salt bake, such a unique and impressive technique that was surprisingly approachable. Everything we made was absolutely delicious. One of the best parts of the evening was sitting down afterward to eat together as a little cooking community. Sharing the meal and meeting new people added a warm, social element that really elevated the experience. BYOB is allowed, so we brought along a few bottles of wine to enjoy throughout the class. They also provide printed cooking instructions for each dish, making it easy to take the recipes home and recreate the experience on your own.

A few friends and I signed up for a homemade pasta class at Fennel and had the best time! The space is well stocked and organized and Jackie is an incredible teacher. She explains everything so clearly and encourages questions. We made a few different pasta shapes and 4 different sauces, 8 if you count that each of the sauces had a vegan version! At the end we got to taste all of the pastas and dined together at a family style table. It was my first class and I can't wait to go back!

Last night was my third time at Fennel Cooking studio, it's such a great experience! Jackie and her staff are so welcoming and super helpful throughout the event. We did so much in this class, and I learned from Jackie, the guest chef Rick Lewis, and our table partner, Morgan. Our family loves Grace Meat + Three and Grace Chicken and Fish and I was so excited to see Fennel partnering with Rick Lewis to do a class. Dress casually and wear comfy shoes, all the times I have been were bring your own drinks. When you arrive, you check in at the door and then find an open spot at one of the tables. The set up has been four tables with four spots each for the classes I have attended. Each table was prepped with the ingredients for the dishes we were making. For this class, each table was making the side dishes; An Heirloom Tomato, Grilled Peach, and Burrata Salad with Aleppo Pepper. Garlic Whipped Yukon Gold Potatoes. And Succotash with Roasted Cherry Tomatoes and Bacon. Chef Lewis went reviewed the prep and frying of the chicken and the fish. Pickle brine for the chicken and a Busch beer marinade for the catfish. We all gathered around the upper kitchen area and Jackie reviewed some info and talked about a partnership with Global Foods and they had provided the ingredients for the meal. We learned about Chef Lewis's food journey and Jackie's. So cool to get the background. Some students helped with breading and frying and there was lots of discussion during the frying. We sampled the fish with Crystal Hot Sauce - it was so good. Fresh and juicy with the great cornmeal breading. When the chicken was done the staff had prepared and set the tables for us to enjoy the prepared meal. It was great experience and fun to chat with the other students as we ate and enjoyed all the food prepared. This is such a great space, with great people and fun classes

What an awesome evening at Fennel Cooking Studio! Our group had such a blast. We chose the Cozy Korean Potluck with Bomi as our instructor. Bomi was fantastic, very friendly and approachable, and regularly visited each table to help coach and guide us to wonderful dishes as our meal. The prep and cooking was so easy thanks to the staff at Fennel Cooking Studio...true professionals and all extremely helpful. We made kimchi pancakes, soybean paste stew, spicy pork and bulgogi. There were enough tasks to keep everyone busy and engaged, and the food was really, really delicious! No one in our group was that familiar with Korean cuisine or cooking so the night was a flavorful, learning experience. Plus Bomi shared her favorite restaurants, places to shop and dishes that she likes to make so you walk away really feeling like you could recreate your experience at home. If you haven't tried a class at Fennel Cooking Studio, give it a shot. You'll be surprised at how much fun it is and how well you can cook something new and exciting!

What a fun night we had learning how to decorate cakes and let our creativity fly. Amanda and the two sides were great. Can't wait to go to another class. Believe parking is metered, so be aware of that.

I love the range of classes offered through Fennel and I was so excited that I was able to attend their floral and charcuterie collaboration. Jackie gave us the basics around making your own charcuterie board and provided some incredible local cheeses, fruit, crackers and nuts so we could each have a delicious and filling board. The space is beautifully and thoughtfully laid out and just inspires creativity! They have a section for shopping some great culinary products so don't miss out. The floral component was really informative and really sparked a new love for floral arrangements for me and my +1. Would recommend as a fun friends night out, date or even a solo experience. I am so excited for my next class here! Classes sell out fast so sign up for their newsletter and mark your calendars for their latest class drops.

Bought a cooking class for my partner for Christmas and it was such a fun time! We did a a Chaat Happy Hour. I love learning about new foods and thought this was a perfect way to experience and learn. We did several foods and each were divided into teams to complete the dishes. My team made a couple chutneys and masala corn. The recipes were super simple and I wouldn't count on this being an advanced class at all. I now feel like I can make all the recipes we enjoyed at home where I previously thought they would be complex. Thank you Nithya for the wonderful class!

Typically there are two apps, four entrees, two sides, and two desserts. You select one of each. Iced tea or soda also is included. I had the smoked trout spinach salad. The red beets were the best and the vinegarette was tasty. Slightly sweet. The smoked trout was ok, more spices would've been nice. The bean soup looked good and the reviews were positive. The entrees included prosciutto wrapped monkfish, spinach and ricotta ravioli, wiener snitzel, and brat with sauerkraut. I got the brat and it was great with Grilled butter bread. The potato salad was amazing. Included bacon, slightly warm, and sauerkraut flavor. The Brussel sprouts were grilled and maybe the best item in the meal. I wanted more! For dessert I selected the red wine poached pear with marscapone cream. It was good. Slightly sweet. The other option was tiramisu which was served in a wine glass and looked great!
