They were uncomfortable and not designed for those who are short and curvy in size. I had to stand a few times to help. My teacher Sarah was so encouraging and knowledgeable. I learned the basics of throwing on the wheel, hand building and glazing. The class was so much fun I sighed up for a 3 month membership. We took a pottery wheel demo course today which seems like is a great intro or refresher if you're a total novice or just starting your wheel work. I think this or the Clay Date Night experience would be great options depending on what you're looking for. During today's class there were other people doing independent work and they would intermittently offer a suggestion or two to the participants in the demo class which created a welcoming, communal environment. You will need to wedge your own clay in the demo course so if you want to just show up and have everything ready for you, maybe go with the date night option. If you want to learn a little bit more about the craft in general, this is a great option.

Upon arrival, the owner Claire was so welcoming and a burst of energy. The inside is vibrant, full of sample paintings, art supplies, and a store (under construction). The event space in the back is HUGE and perfect for parties! I was the only one there for the Wednesday Just Paint! and as someone who enjoys my alone time, I was totally fine with this. Claire asked me what music I wanted to play as I painted and she sat beside me and gave me tips and we talked like old friends! Painting was so therapeutic! And I loved how my painting turned out! Being that this is a non-profit, the benefits from the store and sessions go towards paint parties held for elderly and disabled, in their homes! She helped a lot and made sure everyone had a good time I also met other workers their and they were so nice I didn't know people could be as kind as the staff here I hope ataliya gets more support one day from all the hard work and her coworkers for being so kind.
