Kid and teenager me would have loved it... the sarcastic 10 year old wanted board games to improve her experience. After considering- I agreed. I would add some chess and checker boards and a few other board games. Or a few Atari games... The epitome was the McDonald's $1 double cheeseburger sign. I asked to order it: they didn't have cheeseburgers, all things are more expensive and everything is not as healthy. I am not wishing for cocaine Coca-Cola or other "medicine" in Dr Pepper. $1.50 for a can of soda is a big jump for a corn syrup from the nickel advertising of a sugar sweet memory. The epitome of the place was playing shuffleboard with the 10 year old. I was trying to play with a sense of touch. She was playing with the idea of creating a highlight reel of knocking my pieces off. I beat her because the idea of the game escaped her. To look back at Asteroids was a shock. Realized that it was just black and white, 2 dimensional game with only a few buttons to control it. Overall I walked still a fan of the glossed over experience. I remember being a broke kid wanting to play unrealistic games to escape from reality. Now I wish for the sugar rush I used to have.

I am itching to go back already, it is well-worth the price ($18 for both my child and I). There is a lot of outdoor activities, so I would go on a nice day, but there's plenty to do inside as well if you need a rainy-day activity. So many fun activities for children, from a racing car track to a large outdoor xylophone, a "tree house" and fun little pretend areas, such as a hospital (the nursery, of course) pizza parlor, a market stand with fake food. Outside has a lot of fun things for Littles to climb on and explore. We will definitely be back!

This section of St Charles is roughly adjacent to the Katy Trail State Park and the Missouri River is visible across the parking lot and trail area. The Main Street area is a semi-historic area with a lot of dining and shopping opportunties located in mostly historic buildings. I got there early, grabbed a beer, and set up my laptop to knock out a few end-of-day emails. The taproom is relaxed enough that working for a bit doesn't feel out of place, and once the inbox was under control, it was time to switch gears. An hour with a pocket full of quarters goes fast here. The mix of classic arcade cabinets and pinball machines is a fun throwback, even if my Donkey Kong skills are exactly as terrible as they were in the 90s. Still, it's hard not to enjoy yourself when you're bounding between games with a beer nearby and the whole place buzzing with that low-key arcade energy. When the quarters finally ran out and the beer glass went dry, that was my cue to move on but it was still a genuinely fun stop. Easygoing, nostalgic, and a good way to unwind after a long day. While I knew it was an arcade I was unprepared for how loud it was. The main area isn't huge and they had a lot of games going to it was incredibly loud. The bar staff were busy but polite. We tried 4 different beers and none of them were excellent. One was terrible, no line is bad but just not a good beer (I think it was their Amber Ale). Not my cup of tea but if you want to play in the arcade, eat pizza and have beers it might be yours!
