There is a bar INSIDE the liquor store. Ssoooo convenient!

Not burying the lead - There is a bar IN the liquor store.....and what a liquor store it is! Rows and ROWS of aalllllll the things. If you need it or want it, it is in here. That includes mixers. I saw drinks in Sav On that I had never seen anywhere else. For example - as I get older I really need to watch my calories and sugar intake. They had a Crystal Light vodka drink I had never seen anywhere else. I was tempted to buy it, but then thought, "What if I love this?!?!?" I travel to much to love a drink I can only get in one location, so I stuck with my usual which I retrieved from their GINORMOUS walk in cooler. And he place was CLEAN. There were at least 3...maybe 4....registers. Staff was very friendly. They are super-easy to find on the corner. Parking is plentiful. I can see turning left into the park lot being a little challenging because the lot entrance is near the beginning of the intersection's left turn lane; especially when the high school dismisses. They have a customer loyalty program that uses your phone number. I joined on my last visit, so I'm not exactly sure what the program benefits are. I received a text message immediately upon checking out, so at least it works as designed & is careless.

10 GOLD STARS! I am…read moreso happy I don't live in IL because I feel like I would go for broke every single week roaming through the aisles! This store.....AMAZING! It is beautifully organized, the produce and fresh food dept- SO IMPRESSIVE! There is an amazing alcohol area, and even the frozen food section feels A+ Top Notch! Really enjoyed my shopping experience here! They have lots and lots of fresh, organic, and allergy-friendly items! The prices are a bit high but you are paying for quality! My only heartburn- apparently the city of Edwardsville banned bags and this store charges if you do not have your own bags. That was annoying. Will definitely come back here when visiting family in the area!

I love this store. It is so worth the drive from my home in Godfrey…read more The produce department, just blows my mind. The variety and freshness of all the vegetables and fruits is huge. I can find unique items that you do not see at other grocers. I am wanting to eat healthier this year and this department is helping me achieve that goal. Another department that I enjoy is the, Deli and Prepared Foods. I have ordered from the prepared foods department for many of my parties. It makes life so much easier and everyone loves the appetizers. The butcher/meat department is as impressive as the produce. Also, the Dierbergs label is just as good as a name brand and it helps you save money on your total bill. If you're a drinker, the liquor department is a mini liquor store located inside a grocery store. The variety of wine and beer is huge. If you over drink and do something stupid, you can use Dierbergs florist to help get yourself out of trouble. The staff on the floor are helpful when I cannot find what I am looking for and the cashiers are friendly and move the lines quickly. Reminder: The store is in Edwardsville, so take your own bags, otherwise you'll be paying 10¢ a bag.

I had the gluten free lemon lavender donut & a vanilla latte - both were great! My husband had a scone he enjoyed & lemonade that was very freshly squeezed. Pro tip: definitely check their hours before you go--and honestly, just plan your day around it because it's that good. I was expecting your typical little coffee-and-sandwich spot, but it completely exceeded my expectations. They have a couple of parking spaces behind the building, and if those are full, there's a free lot about 500 feet down the road. It was pretty busy at lunchtime. You order at the counter, and they bring everything to your table. There's a mix of indoor and outdoor seating in various sizes, and the decor is adorable. I especially loved the maps--they make great conversation starters. I noticed several tables pointing out places they'd visited and swapping travel stories. The menu has a nice variety. I ordered the chicken salad on ciabatta with a side salad. The chicken salad had a strong dill flavor that I really enjoyed, and the ciabatta was perfectly fresh--not too tough. Next time, I'll probably pick a different side since the salad was basically just lettuce. If there was any dressing, it was super light, so I ended up adding some of the lettuce into my sandwich. The surprise standout, though, was the lavender lemonade--a total sleeper hit. It was scorching hot that day, and I wanted something refreshing, so I ordered it on a whim. Honestly, it was the best lemonade I've ever had. I don't usually find myself making a special trip to a café just for lemonade, but here I am. I'm not sure if it's seasonal, but I really hope it sticks around.
