This place is massive! I've only seen Randall's passing by but never stopped in. I needed some champagne in a pinch and this was in the neighborhood, so I took it as an opportunity to check it out. This location feels a little hidden, but it's there if you're searing for it! There's a big parking lot with lots of space. I walked in and saw lots of specials on bottles and picked up a bottle of Pinot Grigio for myself ($4.99) and explored the rest of the store. It's super well organized and labeled to find what you're looking for. Whatever you need, I would assume they have it. I don't typically purchase mini bottles of champs or Prosecco because they can be pretty pricy, but I found 4 mini bottles for $8.99 which in my opinion is a steal. I ordered online for delivery within 1 hour and was charged for it immediately. After an hour I called the number on the email and was berated on the phone by the cashier for asking questions. They then suggested that I request a new driver (not an option listed anywhere). Then someone else got on the phone and asked why I was yelling (I was not, I was asking questions about why it was taking so long and suggesting that they update their system because only providing this number where they couldn't do anything was not optimal). 30 min past the time when it was supposed to be delivered and I know was told "it'll be there sometime". Unhelpful, rude staff and there is an obvious disconnect between the website and the store. Would NOT recommend ordering online. read more

I love going to Randall's to peruse the aisles. The place is always so well stocked with so many choices. My most recent trip I found myself picking up some liqueurs, and a specific bottle of bourbon they unfortunately are not presently carrying. They had all of the liqueurs I was wanting. I even found an aloe liqueur I decided to give a shot. Given the local nature of Randall's there are also plenty of local liquors and beers to select from which is nice. They also have one of the better mezcal selections in the area which I am grateful for. They also have a huge beer selection. For a non-beer drinker like myself it can be quite daunting as I think I spent 45 minutes in there one day looking for a nice sour for a friend. It was my friends and she love tequila. So selecting her gift was easy, I'll get her tequila. The only problem, I don't drink tequila the way she does. I only drink it in a Margarita. Had a long week that culminated with a $90 trip to Randall's Wine and Spirits last night. This St. Louis liquor paradise has just about everything you need to get your party started. Located right off Jefferson, getting in and out of Randall's is pretty easy. They have a vast parking lot. Be warned that if you go around Halloween or St. Patty's day, the parking lot can be pretty full with people going to Johnnie Brock's for costumes and party supplies. Walking into Randall's can feel overwhelming due to the vast space that is packed with alcohol. They have a great selection that can seem daunting. How will you find what you're looking for?! The employees of Randall's are ALWAYS willing to help. I find their staff to be very friendly and ready to give expert suggestions. I really love the huge selection of craft beer Randall's has in their store. They do a great job of stocking local craft brews so that you can grab all of your favorites in one stop. There are also really awesome beers from around the country that you won't find at any supermarket. I'm not giving them five stars because their credit card machines require you to sign using your finger, and then there is not hand sanitizer for you to use afterwards. Call me lucky or strategic, but I live within walking distance. This is hands-down a great liquor store. I do wish they carried a few things that they don't, but they also have stuff that can't be found anywhere else, and at good prices. What is really hit/miss here is the employees and the clientele. It really depends what time of day you come. I have been both a) waiting at the door 10 minutes before they open with a GROUP of people and b) stopping in on a Saturday night right before closing. Always interesting people, and 95% chance you'll get hit on if you're a woman. They have bitters, mixers, syrups, loads of wine, canned champagne, beer and the usuals. Some of the items I'm looking for are sometimes behind the counter, so if you don't see it on the shelf, look up there. You can also check their website before going over to see what the inventory is currently. I once ventured over to Total Wine in Richmond Heights (BLAH) and was shocked at the prices and especially taxes. The pretentious attitude didn't help anything either. My decision was made that day that I stick to the wonderfully historic Randall's warehouse deep in South City, amidst cat calls, drunk clientele, rude employees, it's all good. read more

Let me start off by saying you can get liquor from most places now a days; but if you truly want an experience and an extensive selection to choose from I will definitely like to point you in the direction of Randall's! From the decor and selection of goods to the knowledge of the staff this place checks all the boxes. I already had my mind made up of what I wanted to secure but I had an observation of one of the sales associates helping a nice looking couple make a selection on a particular choice of cognac. Not that I was ease dropping lol, but I was close enough to hear him educate and offer up his advice. That exchange was a microcosm of this place. I came in on a Saturday afternoon, mainly for the CARE-STL adoption event, to see the shelter dogs and cats that were there. Bonus, there were beer tastings going on, including one of my fave breweries, 4204 Main Street! The people with the breweries and the shelter and the other customers in the tasting area were all super nice and fun to talk to, the staff when I asked where the beer was that I wanted to buy and the cashier were both not. One seemed irritated and sarcastic and the other seemed annoyed and in a hurry to be gone. Now for the actual store options, I was looking for the peanut butter whiskey that I had sampled at CBC South City. I found it, but it only came in a huge bottle and I didn't want to commit to that, lol. I understand that they can't sell cold beer because they are too near a school or church (can't remember which, might be both), but what difference does it make? People can buy little bottles of liquor, which I think would be more worrisome than cold beer in a can. You can buy cold beer in a growler, so I don't get it. Oh well, not their fault. I did enjoy my beer when I got home, after I put one in the freezer to hurry the chilling process along. So big points for the people who come to Randall's, low points for those that work there. If you're looking for anything with alcohol in it, they have it! The selection is unmatched and the layout of the store is very cool. You'll wonder if you're lost when pulling up to the building but there's no need to fear. The only down side is that nothing is refrigerated so keep that in mind. read more

Randall's is most people's go to place for cheap booze. They have the biggest selection and generally some of the best prices in town. The location is confusing to get in and out of if you've never been there and if you go on a weekend during Halloween season which Johnnie Brock's is also busy it's hard to find a parking spot even in a large lot. I usually try to go during the week and generally not first thing when they open since there tends to be people just hanging around the doorway. They have a large selection of liquors and wines separated by varietals. They always have a lot of gift sets on hand, especially during Christmas of course, which I have purchased many times for gifts, wedding parties, exchanges that always go over well. As a beer lover however I wish they had cold beer to go instead of boxes just stacked on the floor in the back of the store. Beer is definitely not their focus. Customer service is hit or miss. There was one man who asked me multiple times in the wine aisles how I was doing and if I needed help. The lady checking us out however wasn't friendly and even answered the phone while checking us out when other people were available to answer. Ohhh Randall's, the mecca of all things booze. I'm a huge fan of this place. Typically I visit just to get things for my place (usually wine, sometimes beer and spirits) and it's so fun to wander the rows of alcohol and pick out new things to try. I have a giant wine rack mounted on one of the walls in my dining room, so I'm under a bit of pressure to keep that bad boy full. The employees are always so nice and willing to make recommendations, and I've ended up trying things I never would have had someone not told me it was awesome. The second reason I go to Randall's is to pick up alcohol for an event I'm hosting. The prices are reasonable which makes a lot of difference, and I can count on them to have even the most unique thing necessary to make a specific cocktail. The third reason? Party gifts. Gift packages, samplers, whatever you need, they have it. It's such a relief to be able to waltz in this place and leave with a really impressive gift that really didn't take that much effort. Great people, huge selection and love the cars that always on the inside......Addition to my last review, here's another reason why I love Randall's. I Placed an online order and did not pay attention to the time allotted to pick up my order or the time they closed. I was basically late, i arrived on the lot around 6:10 and I set there until 6:30 and a young lady was on her way out from work and she did explain to me to do were closed, but she still went back in the building on her own time and went in retrieved my order. She did not have to do that I really appreciate and thank her for that especially doing his time.I know that they are working harder and ready to go home as we all are after we clock out. Old news: I've been coming to Randall's, aka Disneyland for boozehounds, for almost 4 years now to get my fix of everything from wine, whiskey, to craft beers and all things alcohol-related (mixers! a whole section of bitters!) at really good prices. New news: DOGS ARE ALLOWED INSIDE! I repeat, DOGS ALLOWED! A couple of friends and I took a drunken post-dinner stroll from my house in Lafayette Square to Randalls in search for a new bottle of whiskey, and we brought along my dog for a walk. We planned on parking one poor soul outside Randall's while the rest of us shopped the wonderous floor-to-ceiling walls worth of whiskey. I went inside to ask if dogs were allowed, and they said heck yes, as long as they are well behaved and on a leash (aka no bulls in a china shop). So in goes my golden retriever to help us shop. Hellllllooo go-to liquor store in the neighborhood! Their selection of wine, spirits, and beer is massive. Not only that, but the folks who work here are knowledgeable and helpful. They always have everything I need, fully stocked, and at a reasonable price. There are a couple things I'd rather buy elsewhere: Mezcal and a lot of their wine. Recently, there has been a nice sized section of wine specials that are all around $4. This is an amazing deal, especially when you have 10 neighbors over to watch the Bachelorette every week! One of the biggest craft beer selections in South City for sure. They are hella stocked on everything, especially local beers. They run specials on their domestics almost every weekend. It's a convenient location - right off the highway - and parking is no problem with the huge lot right outside. I'm about to become the Mayor of that place on Foursquare! Not only do they have a variety of cheap booze (I mean seriously, where else can you find 4 different varieties of Lemonchello and lemon sugar to put on the rim of your glass?) but on weekends you can get happy hour started early with the free samples. LOCATION COMMENT: Randall's is really more off the freeway feeder, not Jefferson. It's tucked away around the northeast corner of Jefferson and I-44. It's behind / "part of" an old costume shop, located in an old warehouse. Googlemaps is a bit misleading. This place was great. We were in from out of town and I was very impressed with their selection. No cold beer, but I assumed that was per a local law (unlike Texas). Their whiskey selection was excellent (although no Texas whiskeys, but that's okay - I get those back home), and the guy who helped us was very knowledgeable about his whiskeys, which was much appreciated. I'd definitely hit this place up again if we visit this area again. TIP to owner: Texas makes some very good whiskeys! Y'all should stock a few. :) read more

Never felt so welcomed in my life by being greeted with "close in 6 minutes at the door" followed by the next greeting of "close in 5 minutes immediately upon entering the door by someone else...I'm sure I'll see 4 more employees as I advance to the checkout to let me know exactly when they close so we couldn't feel less welcomed. I have spend thousands (easily) at this store in the past, but the lax stocking of the spirits department is driving me away. I have had one particular item on my list for months. It is a staple -- Rittenhouse Rye -- and the store has been out every time. Today I had three items on my list, items I have found there in the past, and all three were out. It's Friday, and stockers were busy. One went to the back to check on my three items and returned to say they were not in stock. Again, nothing exotic about the list. Much like City Museum, Busch Stadium, or the Fabulous Fox Theater, Randall's (dare I say), is a St. Louis INSTITUTION. This is my go-to liquor store in South City. With bargain prices, and a jaw-dropping selection of wine, beer, mixers, scotchety scotch scotch and the like, Randall's is booze central. Conveniently, Johnny Brock's, the party supply warehouse, is right next door - this makes for a quick and dirty 1-2 punch for any Mardi-Gras, Halloween, or St. Patty's Day shindig. If you go to Randall's during primetime (aka 5:30 on a Friday), you'll be greeted by friendly staff, friendlier alcohol reps, and yes, even a half-decent DJ. If free shots, dubstep, and beautiful women doesn't get you ready for a weekend of debauchery (or an extended date with your DVR), I don't know what does. Buyers beware: they don't have a ton of chilled beer - you're better off getting that at a nearby gas station or at Schnucks. read more

Disneyworld for Drinkers! If they don't have it at Randall's, you may have made it up. Well organized, well stocked and the staff is quite knowledgeable. They usually have at least one wine afficianado on duty who can talk you thru your selection. They also have a wall of wines rated 90 and up that vary in prices, flavors and all feature good descriptions. I have literally spent an hour here on a Saturday just browsing the wine wall. Their beer selection features a lot of craft beers as well as local options. I was happy to find Crown Valley's Strawberry Cider here after trying it at MoBot's Fest of Ale (like drinking strawberry champagne). During the warmer months they stock a lot of craft beer in cans for those taking part in area park recreational leagues (no glass in the parks). Skip the PBR and get good beer for the team! Their liquor options are expansive and organized by type with signs to assist in your search. They usually have many collector editions of bottles and gift sets, so your gift shopping is covered here too. Sometimes there can be a line to check out, but they keep that organized too and have many registers going at peak times. Only issues giving it 4 stars are the parking situation and the hours. Sometimes it can be hard to navigate the lot or get in/out, espcially around Halloween when Johnny Brock's is busy. They close earlier than you'd expect for a liquor establishment, but some of that probably involves the surrounding neighborhood. read more
