The new self check out lanes are a hot mess. Kid employees standing around give no direction to customers looking for help. They make zero eye contact, you know the type. No next in line order to help shoppers with checkout, so no one knows where to stand. AND to top this experience off, when my turn to check out finally happened I was CUT IN LINE BY AN EMPLOYEE. She said, "I just need a sec", except it was longer than that and her card got declined twice for her bag of Takis fuego chips. Even she had a hard time flagging down the useless zero eye contact kid employee to void the transaction. Would give zero stars if it was possible. read more

Glad there's self check out. The employee are rude. The bathrooms are ALWAYS dirty. You try to ask anyone a question and the employees see you make eye contact and run. The last time I was there I asked a young fellow employee where something was and I got a reply of ",how should I know, I just work here". The prices aren't any better. To be clear this review is for the Walmart Supercenter at 1091 Millcreek Rd Allentown PA I rarely go in the store as I find it dirty and certainly not well kept. Today I was looking for a specific item that the store carried. at first I opted for Walmart store pick up, as I do with many other stores including Target and Home Depot. Sad to say that even with a store pick up Walmart policy notes there is a $6.99 fee unless spending over $35.00. What is worth that fee when the customer is going in the store to pick up the item???? I don't recall any other store charging a fee when the customer is going in person to pick up an item. I opted to go to the store to get the items in person. At check out there was an issue invoking the self checkout. The scanner didn't work. Nor did the other ones in my immediate area. Finally the self check out observer had to ring up my sale. Wasting a good 15 minutes of my time! This Walmart location needs to get its act together for their customers. Would give it no stars if that was an option!!! read more

Had an unfortunate situation with four staff members today that could have been easily avoided if they would have listened and used empathy instead of been closed off and rude. There is a reason handicapped spots are reserved for those whom qualify and have access to them. Out of 14 spots only 2 were used by people with disability placards or plates. The staff and management refused to listen or do anything about it. Corporate on the other hand was very accommodating. I look forward to hearing from them and upper management very soon. read more

Possibly the worst Walmart I've ever been to. They had one can of kitten food. They wouldn't sell it to me, because it was "part of a pack" and had no barcode. I told them I would pay whatever price they asked, but they still refused. In addition to that, I asked an associate where I could find a dustpan. Her response was "no English." How are you going to be a Walmart associate and not speak English? She had to ask another associate for a "dutchpan." I even did charades to explain a broom and dustpan!! I think it's great they have people who speak Spanish, but they also need to speak English. read more

WOW!!!!!! Walmart is giving the state correctional institutions a run for their money! Today was the last day I'll ever walk into this one again. Now you have to walk through automatic gates to go in. There's signs everywhere that remind you there are cameras watching. The $1.99 tree car air fresheners are locked in a glass case and you have to ask someone to unlock it . Want to buy anything makeup, deodorant, lotion..... it's in a closed off section that you have to pay for separate from the main registers. THEY HAVE SHAMPOO LOCKED IN A GLASS CASE! What is going on at this place? Oh, don't forget, be ready for someone to ask you about your electric bill on the way out..... every time! I walked in to buy one thing, put it down and decided to not give this garbage place of a store my money. Do yourself a favor and drive down the street to its competition. Bad experience .... 1. Asked for help located a product , associate said no English walked away . Waited a few minutes thought maybe he went to get someone who did speak English Nope no one Ever came back I spent $75 on this visit - upon leaving was heading to a funeral the man standing at the doors had little disposable masks . Horrible Customer Service!! One Indian dude in electronics. I asked him when he gets a minute if he can get me a take out of the PS4 case. And he said yes let me finish checking these people out and I'll be right over. Well I waited 20mins, and I counted him helping 3 other people and he still didn't come over. So I asked him again and he said he'd be right over, I said well when because you said that before and I already waited 20mins. He said hell be over, I went over to the case again and waited, waited another 15 mins and still didn't come. Here he was helping a Puerto Rican family by the TVs, like what the hell. Their Car services has the worst customers service in this world ! first of all, the lady at the reception is the most rudest and nasty person I have ever met. Second- their sign says 7am-7pm service but when you go in, they won't attend to you until after 9am ! apparently only 1-2 techn work. Comparing this one to the other location on 7th St I'd much prefer this one. It's relatively cleaner and more stocked. But like all Wal-Mart in general, it's messy and they restock during the day which can be annoying but when it's open 24 hr/day I guess they have to restock it sometimes. Can't blame them because I know they're understaffed and there always seem to be customers who feel like they're allowed to be rude in Wal-Mart and toss clothing/items anywhere they want. And of course there are always the rude ignoramuses who get in line at the express lanes with a full cart! I'm a fan of the pharmacy here. In the small print you will see it covers barely nothing so buyer beware when purchasing tires and extended warranties for the tires..at $12 dollars my thought is put the $12 for each tire in the bank and it will cover most whatever happens to your tire because they sure won't without a hassle and an ordeal . Confirmed-the worst Walmart I have ever stepped foot in. This location is always a mess. Nothing is ever in place. Items will always ring up more than the displayed signs. The people that work there are a special breed and really need to take monthly reinforcement classes on customer service. I had 3 small items to return w/the receipt. My cashier was a super elderly/cranky man that got aggitated because the barcode on my receipt wouldn't scan. He proceeded to type it in but it still wouldn't take (mind you this receipt is for items purchased the night before). I stood there patiently while he half heartedly apologized for the delay. Finally another employee told him just return it without the receipt and give her store credit (fine, whatever, I didn't care because I had several items for purchase as well). After he huffed & puffed some more, he managed to complete the return. To add insult to injury, before he rang up my purchase he said :" oh, look you're buying more items so you can return later" WTF?????? That's what I get for being a quiet patient customer. I'll just shelve that snippy comment under the category labeled as Asshole Cashier. read more

Awful! Everyone there is either waking around doing nothing. Hiding in aisles with 6 other associates doing nothing and they had only 1 cash register opened on the Friday before Memorial Day. I asked the customer service manager if she could call one of the 50 employees that weren't doing anything on the floor to assist with registers and she literally looked at me and walked away without even responding. If I could give zero stars I would. This wal mart is the dirtiest, most unuseful wal mart I've ever been to. They never have any carts in stock. I asked why this was and was told they only have 200 carts and they average 200 customers at a time. Why wouldn't they order more carts? The carts are all dirty and in poor condition because they're consistently left out in the elements with no one to bring them in. All the staff and employees seem very disgruntled- which I get it, times are so hard right now! But the dirtiness and things always being out of stock is so frustrating. The carts are the biggest issue for me. Especially when I have both my toddlers and need to do a big grocery run. I've decided just to pay more and go to target and a grocery store to supplement my needs read more

This was bad, even for Walmart. I was doing something I'd done many times, pulling my car up in line to get a simple oil change, when an associate (Tim) stepped in front of my vehicle, blocking me and waving his arms. I rolled down my window and asked, "How can I help you?" He answered very angrily, "You can turn around and go park in one of those parking spaces, that's how!" I replied "No problem." He stood there watching me, scowl on his face, shaking his head. I'm currently still waiting for my vehicle, over 2 hours later, on what appeared to be a very slow night. Meanwhile, my daughter and I looked at a few bikes and she picked a skateboard up off the shelf. I told her to put it back. As she was already responding, another associate walked by and barked very rudely, "Put that down!" I told the employee, "I can correct my own child, thanks." She went on to talk back about following the rules and that you can't ride the bikes or skateboards, neither of which we were doing. I'm a professional mid-30s father of 3. (Not exactly some punk kid.) I've never had incredible service at Walmart, but this treatment of customers is wildly inappropriate. read more

I'm writing about my site to store experience because my local Wal-Mart didn't carry the item I needed and I liked the free shipping option. Decided to buy other items on this trip because it took 45 mins to get here. There was no one behind the counter or waiting in line when I arrived. The touch screen to call for assistance was either broken or turned off. Rang the bell and waited, no one came. Called the # on my confirmation email to let someone know I was there and waited another 10 mins for someone to arrive. There were several other associates that had walked in and out of the back room the entire time I was waiting without even acknowledging me or offering any help. Then the boy couldn't find my order. I heard him scrounging around the back for 10+ mins and yelling about how my order was missing. Eventually found it in the cabinet that was right behind the register. Please refresh your employees on store pickup procedures and about providing basic customer service. read more

I needed to do grocery shopping and decided to go to the Walmart in Trexlertown. Not only that, but I decided to go in mask-less. I just took my time and meandered the isles. It wasn't all that busy. Not a soul bothered me. I was heading over to the health and beauty aisle to get some toothpaste,hairspray and then I was ready to leave. A vagrant of a man, a customer, saw me without a mask. He stopped me and said you know it's a law that you should be wearing a mask. I laughed at him and told him to do his research that it was not a law. He shouted at me, "You don't have to wear one? "I said back to him, "Don't worry about it." He shouted back at me, as I was walking away , and said, "You think your s**t don't stink or something? "I shouted back and I said, "Yep!" Well, apparently he didn't like it that I told him off and he went and told somebody in authority. But it took them a while to find me. I was in an aisle all by myself looking for hair conditioner. This young male, a Walmart employee said, "ma'am!" and held out a mask. I looked at him, shook my head no and said, "I will not wear that." He then told me I had to, that it was the law. I laughed at him and told him it was not a law and I did not have to wear it. I tried to give him the new information about the CDC telling stores to let people alone if they weren't wearing masks, he refused to take it. He told me that I had to leave the store then. I told him I would not leave until I finished my shopping. He threw his head back in an arrogant way and said, "Well then I'll just call the police and have them come and take you out. "I said, "you go right ahead and do that." I spent at least another 10 minutes in that aisle looking for what I wanted. I then headed to the checkout, self check-out that is. I was almost finished and here comes a female police officer. She tells me I just need to leave my stuff there on the register so she take me out to the entrance so she can talk to me. I refused. I told her I was checking out I was almost finished and I would be leaving. She wouldn't let me alone. She kept harassing me. Telling me I needed to wear a mask and that's what the sign says on the door and I have to abide by it. I said, "No I don't." She continued to harass me and I told her she was harassing me and to leave me alone,but she wouldn't. I refused to go anywhere with her. She tried to tell me that I was putting millions at risk. I nearly rolled on the floor with laughter at that. I told her that I wasn't putting anybody at risk, that I've done my research and she needs to do her research, too. And then also said to her, "You can't tell me that you want to be wearing that mask,either." So she had the honor of a Escorting me out once I finish checking out. The little twerp who called her was standing there watching. I guess he thought he was smug, but what he didn't realize was that I didn't wear a mask in and I didn't wear one going out. While she was escorting me out I turned to her and said, "what's the matter are you afraid I'm going to turn around and come back in?" She just walked off in the other direction and got in her police car and left. She Never laid a hand on me just walked side-by-side while I was pushing my cart. She repeatedly asked me while standing there harassing me if I frequently shop at the store. I did not look at her and I did not answer her. Each time she asked me that I ignored it because it wasn't relevant to what was going on. She also told me that I was trespassing on Walmart property. How so?? Walmart called the cops because an older woman would not wear a mask?? They never even asked if there was a medical reason why I was not wearing one. You think Walmart would be concerned about watching out for shoplifters and calling the police for that reason. read more

Like the store in general, but for some reason when you call for information about what products they carry, someone answers the phone who barely speaks English and is very hard to understand. Why they hire someone like this to answer their main phone line is beyond me,but it certainly makes it difficult to get the information one needs about availability of products in the store by phone. read more

Bah Humbug to Walmart in Trexlertown!!!! Outside of Walmart today ( 11/30/19) was a Salvation Army volunteer ringing his bell, collecting donations for disadvantaged families during this Christmas season. I went to the customer service station to see if I could exchange a larger bill for smaller bills to donate. This was an even exchange of money. The employee refused to open the drawer for me. I told her the reason I wanted to exchange the money was so I could donate to the Salvation Army volunteer outside of their door. She still refused to open the money drawer,and told me that a manager would not either. Shame on them!!! I guess Walmart is too busy worshipping the "almighty dollar " !! Obviously they do NOT care enough for disadvantaged people to even open a money drawer to exchange money when it won't even cost them a dime. Shame on them, Scrooge. I will certainly be taking my dollars elsewhere read more

I'm a resident within walking distance but avoid shopping this location because of consistently poor service. Recently in the Millcreek Road, Allentown, PA location to return part of a previous purchase. Line for customer service seemed reasonable to wait with 5 people in line. Waited 15 minutes w/no line movement due to issue with return w/person in front. No effort made to call for assistance w/line increasing to 12 people. No less than 5 different employees passed by counter area w/no assistance. Unacceptable business practice. Decided to make cell call to the store standing in line. Went through prompts to be connected with ANY store personnel. Allowed it to ring in excess of 20 times with no answer. Unacceptable business practice. Total time: +35 minutes.
