We went there for a very short list of items: bottled water, sugar, a deck of cards, coffee creamer and hot sauce. They had everything that we needed but only in large quantities or if they had a smaller container or quantity available, the price didn't make sense for us to purchase it. We were able to purchase a 6-pack of Ice Mountain water for a decent price, but the only container of sugar that they had was a 4 or 5 lb. bag. I was looking for a small canister like what you might see near the coffee pot in an office. We found the cards, but they were only sold in 2-packs. We have lots of cards at home, but forgot to bring them. We didn't want to buy two packs. The coffee creamers were all pretty large, except for the half and half, which I was not able to convince my husband to select (not Target's fault). Lastly, was the hot sauce...only big bottles available. I just wanted a small, purse-sized bottle to use at the cabin. I left without hot sauce and sugar. I guess the moral to the story is, instead of attempting to force people to buy large quantities or bigger packages, offer a smaller variety and get the sell!

Now that I've shopped at other Sam's Clubs, in Indy and across the country, I've found that this location suffers in small but serious ways. The first one relates to groceries, where in comparison, this location has a far more limited selection. In its place is far more booze, do the near monopoly on liquor in the county by Big Red. Drinkers go here; much floor space is dedicated to beer/wine/liquor at the expense of food and grocery selections. Worse, on important items, they're not the cheapest around. Even Walmart, their cousin down the street, has better prices and selection in many areas-- without the need to buy in huge bulk quantities. The edge that Sam's has gets thinner and thinner. I'm hoping for a Costco to put price pressure on them. The people that work at Sam's are great. I have had great service. It's the layout and inventory limitations that make this location far less useful.

Cute kitchen towels, pillows and bags paid homage to farmers and dogs. The place has a definite salt-of-the-earth feel to it. They carry a selection of children's and women's clothing and leather shoes. I even saw beautiful cow and sheep hides. Prices are reasonable. Outside is a portico display of hanging baskets, potted annuals and a few containers of garden plantlets for sale. Prices are marked down on the plants. The store is not upscale or high-end, but has a genuine country feel. We picked up colorful farm fresh eggs for $4. The clerk was Midwest friendly. There's plenty of parking outside the shop. I recommend stopping in if you want to pick up feed, plants or country decor.

Not a good beginning. Anthony's Pets has closed and moved out beside two more empty stores, then three jewelry stores face the Target rotunda. Continuing down the concourse I saw three more empty spaces and two closed stores. The concourse between Dick's and the Food Court has the most popular and largest stores, H&M, Torrid, Buckle, Old Navy, Build-A-Bear, and no empty stores. When looking at the existing photos on their Yelp listing, the kiosks in the concourses have decreased significantly and some of them were closed. But I saw more people shopping here than I see in the Greenwood Mall (before the two recent incidents in the news) so I think the Bloomington folks are supporting their local mall well. The Food Court seemed adequate with the usual choices including a new pizza restaurant, Azzip Pizza, located very near the actual court seating area. The restrooms were clean. I liked how the sinks were separated from the rest of the facilities by being in a room of their own. They also looked recently renovated with new tile on the floors and walls. No issues with parking as plenty of spaces were available.
