Came in to receive a money order at customer service and Eloisa was incredibly rude and short with me. I get it, customer service is hard and I had just got off from a 8 hour shift and just wanted my money but she didn't need to stop my transaction in the 2 minutes it took to get the reference number. I've never done a money order through Walmart before so we didn't know we needed a code from the receipt. I smiled and say thank you as always but nothing but coldness. If I could give a negative review I would. Today started out easy enough and what I thought would be a simple quick trip took over 40 minutes. This store is poorly run with staff that simple do not care to provide any type of service. Came in for some paint and other items and thought I would be in and out within 15 to 20 minutes. Grab all the other things I needed and went to get the paint. It's locked so I had to ask for help from several employees. One of which passed me three times and kept saying someone is on the way. After 25 minutes I sought out help and finally got a manager to call someone over .40 minutes later I had the paint I needed and was on my way to checking out. A small task should not take that long. I had a very good experience today. I wanted to buy a patio lounge set of chairs. I had no way to get them assembled. I asked Michael the couch, He was soo helpful , he and another young man didn't get his name, try very hard to fit the chairs in my CRV, I went to buy some bungee cords, the guy in automotive showed me where they were and Rand me up at that registrar. I ordered something online and went in-store to return it, they asked if I wanted my refund back on my 'original form of payment' or a credit refund and I told them to put it on my original form of payment. I waited and waited for my refund to hit my checking account and it never did. They put it on a refund credit in my walmart app. I went in to see if I could get it back to my debit and they said no. They said I'd have to delete every single form of payment within my walmart app and then i'd be able to use my credit refund in store. They lied. I was unable to use it. I called and they told me it would take 48 hours to go back into my checking account. They lied again. It never went back to my checking account. I don't need $61.97 for a store that I barely even go to and now I HAVE to order online in order to use my own money? I called again and they said they couldn't do anything about it. So why were they lying to me that entire time? Why did they make it seem like my money would go back to its original form of payment if they clearly could not do it. While I don't love shopping here, they are consistent at having the best prices are it's a one stop shop for anything you need. I wish I could give it zero stars. My wife and I were shopping online for grocery delivery. We saw that Walmart had some good prices. Unfortunately, the Santa Maria Walmart is not set up for delivery. About 2 hours after placing the order my wife received an email saying they were unable to deliver. They also charged us $17.95 for delivery when they were unable to do it. I have to drive to the store and pick up the merchandise. The two young men that brought out the groceries had no clue where I was parked. We were extremely disappointed in the poor service, and we will not be placing further orders. read more

I went to Walmart this morning looking for a cabin filter for my car I had to take a pity of the barcode to get to the website. I found my filter but I wanted to make sure I was going to buy the right one. I walked to the automotive desk to ask the people behind it. They didn't acknowledge be I had to ask can you hello me with this question I have. They looked at me like I was crazy I asked would you be able to check if this filter fits my vehicle. The lady looked at she was as rude as hell she told me we do what you do when looking for a part nothing else came out of her mouth. On paper, having two Walmarts next to each other probably sounded great. BUT, when your business model is "the one stop shop" I think not. I went into this Walmart with a group of friends in preparation for a bbq. Not only was this place difficult to navigate but many of the items we needed were not there. It was at this point during our shopping that I discovered that there was an entirely separate store next door that specializes in produce. To add insult to injury, we didn't buy some items at the first store thinking that we could wait and get it next door. NOPE. To add insult to injury, the first store had funyuns, the second one did not. Mild complaint but whatever. Truth be told, if I lived closer to Walmart (not this Walmart) I would shop there regularly. It's really hard not to shop there when everything I need is so affordable. The arguments against Walmart are justified but the people making them (and I've said this in my Target review), don't practice what they preach and they shop there too. It started with a return the refused because they said they can not take back my daughters outfit with tags because it was Fourth of July.... so I went to the other Walmart and they had no problem... then I ordered pictures the pictures were cut short... my husband tried to buy some beer in the electronics asked the girl if that was ok she said yes once we were about to check out she said "oh I can't ring you up because I'm not old enough. I went to Walmart today to get oil and a filter for my Ford truck. In trying to accomplish this i had a couple issues that really bother me and that will probably cause me to avoid this particular store in the future; 1) I was attempting to get access to the filters so I could pick out the one I needed but an associate had a cart full of new filters he was sorting through and placing on the shelf. Dispite my repeated attempts to get around him or past him to look at thier inventory he remained in the way and was completely indifferent regarding my attempts to see through him, (at least 10 minutes of trying to get around him with no response on his part). I guess I should have asked him to get F*ck out of the way!! 2) Thier little machine didn't have my engine listed so I asked the girl at the counter if I could look at thier hard cover oil filter reference, (which I've done in the past). She told me there was no such thing and they had the electronic reference I could use. I explained it didn't have a listing for my engine and she shrugged her shoulders and told me that's all they had, offering no further help. I guess I'm spoiled dealing with merchants that hire associates with a sense for customer service and some intelligence with regards to thier product line. I'll stick with them in the future. Santa Maria Walmart is off my shopping list. Also, the $100 I tried to spend there went to Amazon. Sorry I couldn't spend that to support our local community and a local merchant. read more
