Came to this location to grab a few things. This location is always kind of hit or miss. Sometimes they're stocked well and other times, not great. This particular time it was a so-so trip. After a trip to Clay Eye associates and Dr Green who was magificent by the way, I headed on down to Walmart vision center to get some glasses. One shop stop and done. Ask the Mrs. If there was anything more she nethe! While at Walmart. There was no wait. Mr. Dave was super friendly and told me about the discounts they were offering. I sat and wanted to know the final total. Drum roll please, I got a pair of Randy Jackson glasses. I picked them on the first try and went to the Mrs. For her stamp of approval. It was pure gold when the glasses met my face. Now it is the waiting game. My Randy Jackson will not be ready until next week. Oh well, I will be driving blind as a bat until they come. I AVOID ALL WALMARTS! However since it's the closest I thought to give it a try but the level of unprofessionalism and incompetence is 2nd to none... We've had several issues with this place and this environment in general has taken a turn for the worst also, so we avoid this area of Durbin for sure! This monster has come in and it's sucking the life out of this community... the development that's taking place in Durbin is a crime and it's disgusting how they are messing up a beautiful area that was once home to mom and pop shops... we will have a empty mall in 6 months they hire the worst employees so the stores stay empty... it's never stocked, just managed very lazily and very poorly and embarrassment to this section of St. John's county so sad! The last straw is they broke the engine dipstick off in my daughters 2018 car engine leaving her with repair bills that were over $500 (towing and $400+ in repairs) and yet treated a crying young girl so mean, nasty and calloused that even the police officer was pissed with the manager for doing the coward thing ...issuing my daughter a trespass instead of helping! Just gross unprofessionalism. It's funny watching all these foreigners racing through Walmart so they can "me scan app" at the register, then take just as long to bag all their groceries. Improve keeping the shelves stocked. This place never has what you need. The worst part about this location is all the rude ass foreigners that don't have any home training or common sense. Yes, I am a deplorable (lol) Walmart shopper. I live this store just as much as the Dollar Store. Why is it that when you go into a Walmart, you are set on getting 2-3 items and walk out with a basket full of goodies. From time to time however the cart situation at this new and local store gets a little out of hand with people not returning them to their designated areas and or lack of employees retrieving them for customer use. The store is very well stocked with items from food, clothing, sports attire, games section, electronics, if you can think of it it's probably in this store. If not you can always shop online and have it shipped directly to your house or store. I have had the pleasure of ordering item and picking them up at the kiosk machine with no issues. Typically they will have an employee there to assist you if you are having difficulties. Prices are great, quality is good, and the store is kept clean and nicely arranged. So happy it's only a mile from home and we can and have ridden our bikes here. read more

Steady eddy walmart. Great prices, sometimes in stock, but not always. They seem to struggle in grocery, but the hard goods are always in stock. If you go at the right time it's great, if you go at a busy time the building struggles to keep up. Bakery: I always thought everyone was very nice at this particular location but not today at the bakery! Came to buy some sheep. They didn't have any (even though we live in a nation literally full of sheep literally). False advertising, then. Should have gone to Woolmart instead. Large and spacious Walmart in the middle of nowhere, down in the far southwest suburbs of Jacksonville, and a store that is pretty far from all of the popular burbs and dwellings that I know about in the area. Having said that, I'm sure in a few years it'll be surrounded by suburban houses. In any case the parking lot was huge and pretty convenient in the middle of the night and I was able to get some of what I wanted even though the store is gargantuan. And take a video too. This Walmart is so hit or mess. Sometimes I love it sometimes I can't find anything and the rocks are a mess. I really don't know what kind of consistency they have as a store. In the past I've gone in, I've been greeted by very pleasant people. I found my cart right away that I needed to use, and I found exactly what I was looking for within minutes and checked out with a breeze and got home and thought nothing of it. Other times I've gotten not found any carts at all, there has been nobody there to greet me and I have no way found what I needed or anything close to what I needed. Checking out is usually a nightmare and I have no idea why anywhere would waste so much money on so many check out stalls but only open a fraction of them. I'm sure that Walmart has a plan or a business idea for this it just doesn't make sense to me most of the time when I go in the shelves are kind of a mess and so it's hard to figure out what is there. I will say though when you pay cheaper prices what exactly do you expect to get so for that I give Walmart three stars because I kind of know what I'm getting into when I go into their store. read more

GRAND OPENING of a new Walmart that opened up in the first phase of the Pavilion at Durbin Creek in the St Johns area. The first phase will house a multi-tenant shopping area and once complete, it will rival the local Jacksonville shopping areas like the Town Center. I know it is Walmart and there are many Walmarts in my area but this Walmart happens to be pretty close to where I live, just a hop and skip away. And this Walmart location is also close to the I-95 highway, which will become convenient for most travelers as well. The setup of this Walmart location is similar to any other Walmarts that you are accustomed to. The only difference of course is this Walmart just opened and of course you'll get the first day opening business blues. It was crowded and busy. There were even a couple of hired police officers to escort traffic just to give you an idea of how busy it was. All in all, I was able to navigate around and do a little quick shopping. This was my first visit and definitely will not be my last. I will be back Walmart. read more

WOO HOO! The long waited Walmart is finally open!!! This has been a long time coming! This area really needed "this"! No more long drives to get to a Walmart. It's so nice to have options for groceries too...quite often at a fair and/or cheaper price. It's a Walmart and we've all been to one, so we know the deal. This one is new, it's very clean and sparkly...I sincerely hope it stays that way. I would like to add this Walmart is bigger than most. Since it is a bigger store, they do seem to have more of a variety than others when it comes to things for the home, electronics, sports, toys, seasonal, etc. For just literally opening though I was surprised at the amount of bare shelves and/or the amount of items out of stock already. I inquired about a few things I didn't see on the shelf, nor a spot for it. I suppose time will tell if they carry those items. Give them a break since they just opened...they are still getting their groove on. Also with this store being larger than most there seems to be more room in the aisles...which is nice. The check-out experience was probably one of the best I've ever had at a Walmart. You'll be surprised to learn they had more than a few check-out's open. They had several cashiers...WHOA!!! I practically walked right up to the cashier to check-out. Seriously...the wait was minimal and they were super busy. That was pretty cool, but will it last? There is ample parking and a huge pickup area on the end if you order online...very convenient. They also have a vehicle maintenance area and liquor store. read more

This is the most beautiful Walmart I have ever seen. However, after walking around the store the newness begins to fade. Slowly, reality kicks in. You realize this bright shiny place you are shopping in is just like any other Walmart..... only disguised as something clean. The nearest grocery store to here is the Publix where I get the majority of my basic groceries. The prices are similar and even higher on some things such as bread. Winn Dixie Liquors on 210 has much better alchohol prices. Publix has better beer prices especially when on sale. However, some items like carpet shampooers are significantly cheaper at this Walmart then Lowes. Remember, not everything is a deal. Know your prices and you can save some money anywhere. I walked out feeling like someone tried to trick me into thinking something good happened a few minutes from home. Honestly, there were more Uniform Police Officers walking around then employees asking if you need assistance. Publix has more baggers to help you to your vehicle then Walmart has cashiers. I chose the self checkout over waiting in a line 4 deep. Open for a week and even then they don't have enough cashiers. It was 8pm. Forget the clean store with bright lights. It's WALMART!!!! I really wanted this to be my go to Walmart. It use to be so nice and new and not crowded at all. But this past weekend when I went I guess the secret is out; because it was packed out. It was like bumper cars with all the plastic blue shopping carts around; people wildly steering them and moving about the store. It use to be clean too, but now it has trash in the lot and on the floors like other Walmart stores. There are buggies all over the parking lot that have not been taken in or put in the shopping cart rack. Inside the store everything is laid out a little differently than other Walmarts; and because it is new the Walmart app does not pick up the store while shopping to tell me where items are. Produce and meat departments could not keep up with the demand and their supplies were running out. I couldn't get the veggies I needed. It was so busy and so hard to shop that we decided to head to Publix to get what else we needed. At checkout we went through the self checkout because there were not enough cashiers to man the registers in the store. So in the end this new Walmart has become just another Walmart. read more

Super clean, nicely organized store. I love the car wash next door to Gate. I try to go everyday as I bought the pass. A bit crazy sometimes depending the time of day. Ah, to be a new Walmart. Shiny, bright, organized and clean! Sadly I'm expecting to update this review in a couple years as it ages into a typical Walmart, but let's focus on today! Love this location. Convenient and clean. Not a huge percentage of "people of Walmart" types, just your normal, fairly polite, area shoppers. Parking: Plenty of it! Generally fairly crowded, but always a open spot. Staff: Working hard! Not all super helpful, but they are trying. For example I asked where the umbrellas were. Response, after looking it up, "in the clothing area". I ask "that's 25% of the store, can you narrow it down?". Nope, but really wanted to. It's all he could find on his app. Products: Its a big Walmart, so your typical stock and prices. I'm seeing some signs of disorganization slippage common to Walmarts, but the staff is fighting the good fight. Grocery: Nice selection. The fruit doesn't seem the freshes, so we avoid that. But your stock items are solid. Not a place I'm going to buy a steak either, but again, for your standard items, this is a money saving option. Notable: Copper infused pillows! Brand new Walmart location is wonderful! Shiny new floors and fully stocked and organized. We went after the crowds on the first day of opening and there were plenty of staff on site and they were very friendly. I love having a new location to get all of the Christmas necessities. Looks they they are also running a bunch of great grand opening specials with low prices. 50 inch TV for $428 seems like a great price! So I did not have time to actually shop but I just HAD to check out the new Walmart as I was driving by! The grand opening is today and it looks ready to open and thrive! It is set up wonderfully, is very clean, and the staff was very friendly. Clearly, I expect this at an opening. I'll be interested to see how it looks and how the staff is in a few months! The pick up area is already being stationed and will begin this Sunday. I do think this brings a good store choice to this side of Race Track, as the nearest Walmart is off San Jose and the closest Publix is down on Old St Augustine. This Walmart is located in a large shopping areas which will features a Bass Pro, Chase Bank, Your Pie, Tropical Smoothie, and many more options. Only negative, the new traffic pattern is definitely going to take users a few tries to adjust to it. read more

The long wait is over and the moms waiting in the pickup line at school will have to shift from, "Have you been to the new Wal-Mart?" to "Oh my sweet word, let me tell you about the new Wal-Mart!" The grand opening for this store is today, Nov 7th, 2018. The main store hours state 24/7 but like normal the internal departments like the pharmacy has specific store hours. This new Walmart has about all the same stuff plus a full pickup station. I also noticed their pharmacy also has a mobile order pickup station (inside store). On the opposite side of the pickup area, there is a auto center which I assume will perform general car maintenance and repairs. So you have the option to shop while you wait. This store is spotless right now, the floor is shiny, all the lights are working and bright. The inventory is full and each department appears to have at least one or two employees nearby to assist. The only technical glitch is for today only they cannot accept Chase, Capital One, or Wells Fargo credit cards. I overheard the cashier say the rest are fine. They have signs at the entrance that say cash and debit cards only. So if it's not today, you should be fine. This will be the largest store out of many in this shopping center. Walmart has left all stores behind, as construction is still building the other stores. I'm not sure when they will be ready but you can assume for Black Friday the full parking lot will be only for Walmart shoppers this year. If you come through the garden center or main entrance, be sure to come around to the grocery side entrance for a free $10 discount when you choose to use the new pick up service in which you can shop online and your items will be delivered to you at your car (specifically for groceries I believe) Last note, the AppStore Walmart app doesn't have this store as an option at the time of this review. There's an epidemic the Coronavirus and the shelves of Walmart are more bare and empty than usual. No bread. No rice. No meat at all. No cereal. No cleaners. No paper products. No produce except for a jicama and a table full of green bananas. Most of the frozen goods are gone. But where are the stockers??? There are 7 of them stocking an entire row of Easter candy. Peeps over poultry. Robin eggs over real eggs. And Reese's candy carrots over vegetable carrots. 7 people. No where else in the store were they replenishing stock. Do not. I repeat. Do not order any groceries for pickup from this store! My pickup order was scheduled between 9-10. I got there at 9:50 and therir pick up is hard to locate as it is on the side. I finally pulled up and checked in at 10:01. I sat and waited for 15 minutes. Until finally they came out and said they cant give me my order because they are closed and I am late. I would understand if I was very late but it was by one minute and I saw the baskets with my minimals grocery order right by the glass doors. I called corporate to complain about this and they said there is nothing they can do and to the call the individual store. I tried calling every department in the store for 15 minutes and no one picked up. I am not a karen and I have never left a review like this before for anything. But this is ridiculous. It felt like a slap across my face. I'm clearly not someone who has a massive amount of income at my disposal and these groceries were going to be my dinner after a 12 hour work day. Now I have to go to sleep hungry and angry. I work in customer service and this is not how you treat your guests. I will never order pickup again from walmart. read more

This Walmart is nicer than most of the other locations in the area, since it is newly opened and in a nicer part of town. Everything seemed fresh, organized, and new, and the clientele here was different than other locations. They have a liquor store which I have not seen before in a Walmart, and Walmart Pickup, where you can order ahead and pickup at the front of the store.
