They can't do simple data entry, look blankly at you like there is no light behind their eyes and a simple call ahead for meds that they've already told you are ready, turns into a 1 hour wait because they are incredibly stupid. Consistently! The pharmacist himself is no better. Definitely mule kicked as a child. I watched him get into a shouting match with a perfectly polite customer. Why would you hire someone who can't control his emotions. I'm blown away CVS employs these reprobates. The place itself is also a dump, overrun with homeless chilling in seats reserved for people waiting for their meds to be filled. There is nothing good about this place. Nothing. Closely monitored as well. The pharmacy team was amazing. I was checked in right away alongside another customer. Upon signing a form I was taken back to another room for my shot. I was thankful to learn that if I lose my card that I can likely get another from Walgreens since all my vaccines have been there. I took a small spin around the store, which was very clean and organized. My favorite area will forever be the make up aisles - a small joy that trickles over from childhood and shopping at Walgreens with my mom. Another highlight is the card aisle and if you need a quick gift they also keep gift cards stocked. It's a great spot to print off pictures as well. But please keep this in mind: if the people who appeal an insurance denial have a 98% chance of getting approved (strangely 98% is the correct number for the amount of people who don't appeal and of the 2% that does appeal then 98% of RX Appeals are reversed and approved. But this Walgreens will do everything they can to help you! Even though over the years there's been new employees they are obviously trained very well and so caring. Walgreens should pay more to keep these pharmacy techs who often leave because a higher paying job elsewhere. Finally, if this Walgreens gets closed in the Corporate cutbacks, I have no idea what I would do (the anxiety of finding a new pharmacy is very stressful). Getting a flu shot had been on my to-do list for the past month. I am the last in my house to get one, even including my pup. (Yep, in case you don't know, dogs need flu shots too.) So I went on Walgreens' site, chose my desired Walgreens location and chose my desired time. There were lots of openings. At my time, I went to the pharmacy, and the pharmacist had me sit at a chair by the pharmacy and gave me my shot -- red Walgreens Band-aid and all. I was done within about five minutes of walking in. And even better yet, my insurance covered 100 percent of the cost. When another immunization comes along -- fingers crossed, COVID-19 -- Walgreens might be a good option.
