During my first session, I was given a full evaluation to determine what my plan would be from that point on. I think it is so important that there was an emphasis on asking me what my personal goals for PT was, and how I could continue doing my hobbies while working on my injuries (I am a runner with IT band issues, so this was really awesome). I know it seems obvious, but having a healthcare professional actually listen to me and my concerns was a really big deal! I was given daily exercises that were manageable and I think really contributed to my overall healing process (I did them multiple times a day). I never left a PT session feeling like I just wasted my time because I was doing new exercises and treatments each time. They have a wide variety of things you can do to supplement your healing, like dry needling, and I am so happy with my results! IT band strains can be super tricky to deal with, but after working with Jordan and Joe for about 8-9 sessions, I had my IT band injury under control (I just ran a half marathon pain-free)! Any time this occurs, I know I can go to Liz to help me work out a lot of the muscle tension. She's not only great at what she does, but she's a great person. Plus, you often get to hang out with her dog Watson who loves all the pets while you're on the table! For any athlete, I can't recommend Liz any higher. She's great!

Whole sections of hallways are without lighting due to burned out bulbs until they find out the state is coming. Garbage everywhere. They fill their staff with sub-contractors so that when their staff causes problems they can then point the finger at the sub company (passing the buck). Lots of roaches and mice, the place stinks to high heaven. Staff smokes right at the front door and there's always a pile of cigarette butts on the porch. Recently they had a fire, due to laziness and stupidity that sent 3 residents to the hospital. Many of the late night aids have filthy disgusting habits like throwing soiled diapers in the linens. If you love Grandma, you won't put her in here.

And they even gave me exercises to continue at home, to ensure that if the pain came back I would be able to deal with it on my own. The location is very convenient, with plenty of parking. My main issue is the conduct and hubris of Dr. Tuna. I had two procedures done through this office…read more Dr Muresan repaired my broken wrist and diagnosed my broken elbow. After diagnosing the elbow he had me use a basic sling and said, don't move your right arm for 2 weeks. Yeah, that didn't work well. Also, less happy at deferral of care for ongoing numbness from surgery. He referred me to Dr. Tuna. Dr Tuna is apparently known for a surgery closing technique that minimizes scars on many people. Because Dr Tuna feels he is infallible, he doesn't refuses to know that his technique doesn't work on all body types. Hence, when I found that there were no surface sutures and only glue and steri strips that had come apart and I had a gaping wound, I was unhappy. When I went back in 4 days after my surgery, he told me it was my fault because I am fat. It actually is commonly known that people with extra fat don't handle that type of closure well and there are often issues like I had. Not only did he claim it was my fault for that. He also said it was my fault for the arm bandages not staying in place, because of the shape of my arm. He did fix it. And then charged me. When I contested the charge, he told the CFO that he had explained to me why it was my fault. FYI, I have pictures of the open wound. I will not post here as yuck! As a courtesy, they cleared the charge as I had already paid the rest of my bill. Fatphobia and inability to own your mistakes is not a good look. The one saving grace was the PT group who were lovely people even when they didn't tell me that one of the issues I was having was probably a ruptured tendon. I am now going to Norton's and have been treated much better. K&K need to stop riding the coattails of the great men that started the group. My mother had multiple surgeries with them and was always treated well.
