My friend finally decided on a couple of boxes... and we went on our way. This is the third time we ordered Walmart delivery and it got delivered to another address. Walmart tells me they don't know or have a picture where it got delivered. At this point it's funny! It's like the driver purposely drops it off somewhere else. If we didn't have Covid, we would go drive around the neighborhood looking for our package like the last two times. Now I have to wait 48 hours to see if my refund is accepted. I'm about done with Walmart. Stopped shopping there a while ago but have a card that they accept. Walgreens seems real nice about now lol. read more

Four stars for a Walmart - maybe I'm losing it. Or maybe when my expectations are already so low to begin with, that when I stumble across a decent location, that it sticks out that much more (and better). Who knows really. While typically all Walmarts are stocked the same - you know the layout of one, you know them all - it comes down the how clean things are and IF things are even stocked at all. This one had both. Everything looked organized, clean, and with no empty shelves. I suppose the biggest reason I gave this location four stars is because not only were there more than 2 cashiers, but there were no lines. I literally walked up with what I intended to buy and was rung up immediately. I'm still shocked about that even as I'm typing this. It's never happened at any Walmart that I've been to - and you're talking about multiple Walmarts in multiple states. While usually reviews of Walmarts are poor, you can't beat their prices on select items. Most locations are either stocked poorly and/or have terrible employees. This one had neither issue. I don't normally go out of my way to have any dealings with employees at Walmart in general and there was no exception here. I only dealt with the cashier and he was friendly. A friendly employee at Walmart.....imagine that! How novel! Again, the layout should be familiar to those who do frequent Walmart in general, as well as the prices and stock. The parking lot is large and you should be able to get a spot very easily. Located in a decent shopping area - plenty of other businesses and eateries close by. Really it's three stars, but due to having more than two cashiers, no lines, and a friendly cashier - they get the fourth star. There's a first for for everything I suppose. Say what you will about Walmart - and I've said plenty over the years on this here site - but once in a while there are decent locations around, and this is one of them. Maybe for those in the area, they don't know any better and this is their only experience - trust me, there's far worse, bottom of the barrel locations out there and that if you were to try them, you'd be begging to come back to this one. So appreciate a decent location, because if there's only a handful of them - this is one of them. read more

I try not to make it a habit of going into a Walmart but I recently did only to find that a lot of things are locked up and you need to find an associate to unlock the case or the lock tab. After waiting for about ten minutes and not seeing any workers I just left and went online and found it cheaper on Ebay and amazon. If you are going to treat me as a thief I will just find another business to spend my money that doesn't treat everyone like a thief. You need to find other ways to prevent or items from being stolen. read more

I foolishly tried this store again . I used to like shopping in this store and drive out of my way to go here but hopefully I have learned my lesson and I doubt I will ever return after today. And it wasn't just because there was someone coughing in every aisle , screaming kids running through the place at 8 AM or a total lack of any decent gift cards. I went by the Christmas reduced section and there were paper signs stuck everywhere saying 90%off. I thought "wow" and picked up some items for next year. I continued shopping and then decided to go back to the Christmas area to look for something else. All the 90% signs were gone and replaced with 75% off. REALLY WALMART? You don't make enough money, you need to lie to your customers some more? After putting my Christmas items back on the shelf I went to check out. Earlier there had been no "live person" at any check out ( I overheard someone complaining while looking in vain for gift cards)but now there was just one with all the screaming kids blocking the lane . I went to self check out. The woman working there was in my personal space telling me how to check out. None of the price guns worked right but she still had to tell me how to use them. The only time she wasn't in my way was when I needed a cashier to fix something on the screen. On my way to yet another store to get gift cards. Shopping should not be this annoying. read more

Most Walmart across the US, whether in the east coast, tri-states, mid-Atlantic, the southern states or further west, have the same typical layout, except this one in Franklin, New Jersey. Basically, afer walking aisle to aisle since I couldn't figure out what is where like in other Walmart, what I wanted to buy wasn't even carried at this store. Most noticeable was the unexpected and confusing layout that bothered me and felt like a maze trying to figure out what aisle may have what I needed to buy. One example was milk located in the front near the checkout counters... weird. read more

Each week that goes by, more and more of our go to items that we have been buying here for years are out of stock when we shop this location. Some items we look for week after week are still not in stock after several weeks checking. We go in the store with a list of usually 20 items or more and most weeks lately we are only able to buy 12 items because they are out of stock on the rest . I live 10 minutes away and when I search and item online and its states" 6 in stock for pickup today " When I get there, its not in stock , employee tried to say they sold out between the time I checked online and arrived to the store , nice try , I highly doubt you sold 6 boat anchors in the last 15 minutes. I believe they possibly did have stock , but nobody wanted to go look for them in their store warehouse . read more

We usually use self checkout to avoid lines. Now we will use self check out to avoid nasty employees. My husband and I just had a baby in November. We received enfamil coupons in the mail for her formula, the coupons need to be rung up as checks at the cashier. So my husband bought 2 things of formula with the coupons as I browsed. We continued shopping and we decided to get one more box of formula. So we stood online register 9 and the older woman started ringing us up. She looked at my husband and said "we're you the one who just bought formula at this register?" He said "yes" she continues to tell him "well you can't purchase another one at this register. You have to go to another cashier." So here we are purchasing over 100 dollars worth of stuff, hands full, I'm pushing the baby carriage and she's ordering us to another line. So if he said "no that wasn't me" she would have rung us up?? Taken back we purchased the formula at another register. As we are walking out she talks nasty about us and wanting to use a coupon for our BABY FORMULA to the other cashier. Clear as day. Why make a big deal about this?? She was incredibly rude. Not to mention she was on her phone texting when we approached. I'm a friendly person and always say "hi how are you" when I approach a cashier to check out. Not one smile not one word other to be rude. read more

Not a Walmart fan to begin with- i hate the fact that the Walton Family are now amongst the richest in the world. They make their money as a result of underpaying and not insuring the workforce. Walmart has become the largest American sweatshop of the 21st century. Having said that- this particular store is always understaffed. The people that work there always look tired and beaten down. 100 people in line? One cashier (ONE!) open? Normal. This is an older Walmart that doesn't have a grocery store built in. It DOES have the 2 million Chinese-produced plastic thingies that you really don't want or need. Do yourselves a favor and shop anywhere else. I don't know why but this specific Walmart gives me the creeps. They do carry all the things you may quickly need, like some solo cups and ping pong balls lol, which is the only thing i ever purchased at this place. They need some serious remodeling done, or at least something that could give this store some life! read more

This is the best Walmart around! There is nice staff, and it is cleaner than other Walmarts like Ledgewood, Mount Olive, & Rockaway. It is in our way from dance to home, so we hit it up ever so often. Back to school and halloween prices are perfect. The place doesn't involve a cafe, but I believe once held a DD. The shelling is great, and Wal-Mart... has recently been getting in decent brands and are redeeming in theirselves in my eyes. The outside IS a outdated though, the place has the old logo but I honestly don't mind it just adds history? I guess you could say! Lol. read more

Walmart has changed for all the wrong reasons and this one is the worst because of the Customer service desk. I bought a curling Iron just as Covid hit. It was broken-wouldnt heat up. A very nasty short tempered woman who said she was a manager told me I couldnt return it during covid until our governor lifted the mask mandate. I called the Walmart corporation and was told I could return ANYTHING to any walmart. I went back and got a second employee who was also nasty and argued she didn't care what I was told they weren't taking it back. I will never get the $40 back now. I just bought a paperback book for an elderly neighbor who won't go out because of covid, and gave it to her the other day to find out she already had that one. Book was never opened, had receipt. Went to the Franklin store where it was bought, went to the counter and sure enough! an employee with an attitude said "we don't take books back!" Sooooo angry that I yelled at her "then put signs all over your store marking all the things we can't ever return so we don't waste our money!" I am sick of the nasty people that work at the front desk- I am sick of losing money to Walmart because they just dont take things back! I saw the next person in line return two shirts-how is that safe if covid is the issue with returning a curling iron and a book?! So now I am out $48. They need to put a huge sign up as you walk in the door that lists EVERYTHING you can't return and quit stealing my money. And put your employees through some basic customer service classes or fire them. I worked retail for years and never would have kept my job if I treated any customer with a nasty attitude. I don't understand all the negative reviews, I'm from NY (so used to unhelpful obnoxious customer service if any) But I have a small lake cottage and this is basically my go to store. I've never ever had an issue with anyone in this particular store. I would say if I had a complaint it's the checkout times can get busy at times. I just got out of there after a walmart.com ship to store problem. Item (shippers fault) arrives damaged. Rosa at the pickup desk was aware as the box was pretty hammered, and kindly noted it on my receipt just in case as it was a $335 total. Turns out there was a problem so I went to return today. Seemingly simple enough it turned into a whole exercise in the disconnect between walmart. com and the actual brick and mortar stores. Since I bought right after opening a Walmart credit card Online (to save 20 bucks on first purchase) it became a big headache for all involved unfortunately. The staff was very helpful and obliging but Walmarts website and credit company is so seperate from the stores it puts the poor workers in an awkward position . Since the actual card still hasn't arrived they couldn't give me a refund in the store. I called the credit card people on walmarts store phone and was told I can't get a refund without the actual card! I explained I have not gotten the card , I'm out of state , what can you do for me? Needless to say walmart.com couldn't help. The three women at the service desk were all very polite and professional throughout the whole ordeal! I began with XIMENA, very nice woman and tried every option but had to call in LINDSAY, who teamed up and assisted and did everything she possibly could according to the rules. Finally after a bit of time (and a few chocolates and suggestions to help provided by GENEVIEV) and a visit from a guy who I didn't catch his name but assume is a store manager, THEY GOT IT DONE for me. They were able to credit a MasterCard that I had and a very small portion onto a store gift card, Yey! When you have an issue in a store and have to deal with the service desk it can really be trying , but these women really are great at what they do while being polite, resourceful , and respecting the fact that you really have better things to do. At no point did I feel like I was annoying them like some other slackers in other stores. And at no point did ANY of them look down at their smartphones to take care of their own personal business which is how it should be every single time. Somehow the total refund was a couple cents off I forget and don't care in whose favor, but after doing some shopping I was coincidentally greeted by XIMENA as she moved over to cashier, great Woman, when finished she said that tonight she would do her homework (referring to the refund amount not being exactly correct ) Being a small business owner that's incredibly rare for an underpaid employee to give a crap once they punch out and leave work. This store like every other Wal-Mart outlet in the U.S. is contributing to the financial collapse of the middle class. The latest news from this store and the terrible way they treat employees is that "the time clock broke" resulting in employees losing a days wage from their already reduced paycheck due to cut backs in working hours. Two weeks later when the hours worked were finally paid, the employees were shorted a half-days pay. What a travesty! It's a. Older Walmart. Has typical Walmart selection of items. As is the case at most big stores in this day and age, competent assistance from a store employee is non existent. I know Walmart gets a lot of static from people but in my opinion they have their place in society and I only buy certain things from them because of their great prices. Synthetic motor oil is far cheaper than any place I've ever seen. Also a good place to buy things like trash bags sandwich bags and other paper goods for the kitchen. Also toothpaste and that sort of thing. One gripe would be their lack of open registers during the busiest times of the day. read more

I know all the things people say about Walmart. But the Franklin store is full of really nice hard working Americans. The store is very clean and orderly. If I have a problem I can always find someone to help. The older gentleman greeter at the front is Shawn and he always has something nice to say. I also appreciate the return policy, sometimes I make a mistake and have to bring something back. And the ladies at the return desk always say thank you, unlike other places make me feel like a creep for bringing something back. read more
