I really appreciate a few things about this place. 1. The books-Often the books they carry are worth way more, like some of the cookbooks. Easily $10-$20 at a bookstore, but here $2-$5! 2. The candy-I know, I know I'm an adult but I'm still a candy addict lol And there are some awesome deals like a huge box of nerds for $1.50 easily $3 anywhere else. Oh and right now it's the cheapest place to get Andes mint chocolate. I try and stock up as you can never find it off season. 3. The cards-I don't know about you but with all the card stores shutting down this is one of the only places to get a decent card, at least without paying like $6 a card. Love that all cards are $1. And lastly... wrapping paper, gift bags and tissue paper. Again I love to save money and stationary is so expensive everywhere else. Plus they even have branded wrapping paper like "Paw Patrol" and "Frozen". Very handy when you have an obsessed 3 year old. In closing, I know dollar stores get a bad rap sometimes but they fill a need for lots of people who can't afford more expensive stuff and they give joy to bargain hunters everywhere!

That said Dollarama has so much stuff that is or could be useful including the occasionally awesome brand-name items (like Lego!). I find Dollarama the most useful for craft supplies and inexpensive toys as well as party decor and seasonal items... but sometimes I find better finds like Lego Dimensions fun packs! I just wish it was easier to find things once in the store -- no two stores are organized the same way.

I checked it out and unfortunately some stock had not yet been replenished but there was still a selection of items. The store is quite large, most of the items are $1.25 and you will find everything here. It's fun to walk up and down every aisle to see what you might find and/or need. I can quickly update the look of my home with a few toss cushions, window treatments and wall decorations without breaking the bank. They also have items that are well suited for shower and wedding gifts. I can navigate the store with a cart without a problem, but I don't understand having carpet in such a huge store. Wouldn't that be a total pain to keep clean? Anyway, they also have furniture and bedding. My sister bought her leather couch here a couple years ago and has been very happy with it. I guess their pieces are built well. A large focus of their furniture section is knotty pine. I'm not a huge fan of this style of wood. You can get a back of tea lights for a couple bucks which is a good thing because I burn through them like crazy!

Certainly there are only very few Big & Tall Mens Wear stores in Edmonton (and only two George Richards Big & Tall Mens Wear locations) but this one was most excellent. The entrance is outside the mall (park on the eastern side of Safeway). This location has a lot of different garment options available including more formal wear and more casual options.
