Really disappointed. Called to reserve a bobcat as instructed - 7 pm the night before and it'll be held until 9 a.m. next morning. Spoke with a guy in rentals at 7:10 p.m. and arrived next morning at 8:30 to be told that the bobcat I reserved is gone. Someone came in 35 min prior and rented it. Needless to say I wasn't happy. 2 loads of dirt sitting on the sidewalk and now scrambling to find a bobcat. Thankfully found one elsewhere. If you're going to tell someone they have a machine reserved until 9 a.m. do not rent it out before that and then tell the customer, sorry.. these things happen. Beyond useless, got more help at Walmart. Had a minor plumbing repair. Needed to replace valve, hose, and flap for a toilet. Two out of three parts in stock. Guy keeps trying to up sale, this or that new improved parts. And a new toilet, with duel flush. Rude too, I won't go back. read more

We went to the Home Depot appliance department looking to buy a stove and couldn't see any sales staff in the department. No problem, we browsed their selection of stoves for about 15 minutes and found the one that we wanted to purchase. One of our group went to the front desk to see if she could rustle up someone while the rest of us stayed near the stove in the forlorn hope that a sales person might appear. No luck. Meanwhile, our friend returned from the front desk and informed us that the entire department's staff was "on coffee break" for the next 15 minutes and we would have to wait for them to return before they would take our money. Needless to say we weren't about to accommodate their schedule, so we left and went to Sears. They had the same stove at the same price ($998) and we were in and out of there in 15 minutes. Sorry, Home Depot, but if you can't organize your sales staff to serve your customers you will continue to lose $1000+ sales to those who will. read more

I will not go back. I went to Home Depot in June to purchase patio furniture, a BBQ and a freezer. It took an hour to purchase at customer service because they weren't able to get the new system to charge me properly and I was requesting my BBQ be built and everything delivered. I was told that my BBQ would be built and delivered the following Thurs (it was Wed) They didn't have the gas BBQ that was on sale in stock but the gal at the Service Desk assured me with the converter kit it was easy peasey to install. I went there looking for expertise. They don't have it. I opted the next day to return the patio set and freezer (not yet delivered) it took another hour and one rude dismissive supervisor to get my money back. When I hadn't heard from anyone on the BBQ the following wed no one seemed to know when it would be delivered or even built. After being transferred and disconnected before it got picked up 4x to a manager the manager just picked up, didn't introduce himself, didn't apologize for anything after I explained and told me that the BBQ was to be delivered the next day. Yes I would get a call. Next day? No call no BBQ. I ended up getting to deal with Kari who was great and she got it sorted including telling me the gas converter? Not so easy to install. I ended up opting to just pick up the BBQ because getting it delivered was such a hassle with them. My son and a friend went to pick it up (I had gotten 3 calls that day asking when I was getting it) I told the gal that called my son was coming that afternoon. When he got there they let him stand there waiting for service. One lady tried to help and the other ladies mocked her in front of him when she didn't use the PA system - telling her she probably hadn't heard it because she was too short? I got there after my son called me letting me know what was going on. When I got there he was standing there. Still noone had let him know what was going on and there were 5 women milling around. When I asked they said it was getting brought over. One lady asked me to sign that I had received it before it got to the desk and I told her I'd like to wait until it arrived so I could ensure it had been built properly as my confidence in them was shot based on my experience to that point. When I saw it being wheeled from the other end of the shop I took the paper and told the girl I would meet the other associate so she didn't have to walk it all the way across. I guess as I walked away Nancy (who was sitting at one of the desks not dealing with us) commented Wow what a bitch while my son stood there. He told her she should watch what she said and not be a dick to which she responded he could get out of the store. He walked to me and told me what happened. I walked back and asked to see a manager (who never appeared) and asked who had commented about me. Finally Nancy admitted she had when I told the 5 of the ladies standing there I could bring my son back. She said all she had commented was Wow and my son called her a dick. I told her that was unlike my son and I would talk to him about the language. I also suggested to her that commenting about a customer as they walk away is not professional or appropriate. I told her I would never shop at this Home Depot again. That I was appalled by the service and lack of knowledge. This store has a lot of work to do and if you want help go to Home Hardware. read more

I go there everyday for supplies for work, and everyday there's a great staff there that always have a smile on. The shelves are always stocked, they've got all my favourite Makita tools on hand. The best person to deal with is Nicole at the til #1 or 2 near the contractor desk. read more

We had our hot water tank break over the weekend, so my fiancé and I went to home depot to get a new one. We made our way to the back of the store. Picked out the one we wanted and brought it to the contractors till and paid for it. Brought it home and down into the basement. We then called the number on the box for installation and the guy gave us a quote of $1000 to have it installed which I thought was ridiculous. So then I called the Home Depot in the fort and the lady I needed to talk to said they only give out one quote to people. (Which includes the tank and the installation.) and they couldn't break up the quote and just have us pay for installation. It had to all be paid for in the store all at once. She then said she might be able to get one of her installers to come by and install it sometime during the week, but I needed it done right away and on the box it said "same day installation." I wish someone who worked there would of explained that to me when I purchased it. read more

Terrible. I've been trying to get my deck done since May 17. We spend over $7000 on things for the deck and they keep making big mistakes. We are still waiting for some of our railing which was first wrong, and then damaged. We keep getting lied to about when it will come in and no one is really trying to help. We are so frustrated and feel there is nothing we can do. We would have returned it all if the rest of it wasn't already put together. Terrible costumer service and we still have no idea when we will get our railing kit. So frustrated. There were a tone of problems before the railing as well. I've spend over 6 hours in there trying to get things "right". I should have never trusted them. read more
