I am a chronic bargain hunter and I don't know about you but I always enjoy a good dollar store…read more And I have to be honest, Dollarama is always my go to. I really appreciate a few things about this place. 1. The books-Often the books they carry are worth way more, like some of the cookbooks. Easily $10-$20 at a bookstore, but here $2-$5! 2. The candy-I know, I know I'm an adult but I'm still a candy addict lol And there are some awesome deals like a huge box of nerds for $1.50 easily $3 anywhere else. Oh and right now it's the cheapest place to get Andes mint chocolate. I try and stock up as you can never find it off season. 3. The cards-I don't know about you but with all the card stores shutting down this is one of the only places to get a decent card, at least without paying like $6 a card. Love that all cards are $1. And lastly... wrapping paper, gift bags and tissue paper. Again I love to save money and stationary is so expensive everywhere else. Plus they even have branded wrapping paper like "Paw Patrol" and "Frozen". Very handy when you have an obsessed 3 year old. In closing, I know dollar stores get a bad rap sometimes but they fill a need for lots of people who can't afford more expensive stuff and they give joy to bargain hunters everywhere!

The craft section is always a winner from glue guns, to buttons, to fabric, to stickers, to paint and more. Actually everything you need in one place. I like to make Christmas cards with my daughter and this year they even have kits to do that are all ready to go! The seasonal sections are always fun and a great place to find silly Halloween or Christmas decor. It's usually tacky but what the hell - its the holidays. The other section I like is the party supplies. It's a one stop shop for basic party items like cups, plastic cutlery, banners, pinatas. Whatever, it's random, it's cheap, sometimes I can't stop myself.

The mall entrance was closed so you had to use a single entrance. There was an employee managing the amount of shoppers in the store. All aisles were marked and the cash register was laid out in a way that made it easy to keep your distance. As for the store itself, it's your basic Dollarama decent selection and you always manage to find stuff you never knew you needed.

They had a KILLER chocolate toy egg selection and for less than the normal grocery store price! Can you say Easter Bunny? Watch the expiration or best by dates here. All in all a great little $ store. I foresee many stops here in the future. PS - Hubs gives it two thumbs up because they have Old Dutch Mexican Chili chips!

They are so very, very helpful and are always willing to answer my dumb questions about this allergy medicine or that cough syrup. Also, there is no judging looks when you cash out with feminine products, various bags of chips and 8 different kinds of chocolate bars. :)

My mothers been having horrible experiences with worker named Connie working in cosmetics…read moredepartment. For some reason all their cosmetics employees are either immature or discriminating against a specific group of people just because they seem to have been given the authority to do so. Just a background on my mother which she shouldn't have to explain to some sales person however she still had to - she's been diagnosed with depression and asthma for many years now so at this store some of her actions included taking pictures of products(which literally everyone's does in some way but hers was acting out on her depression), spending extra time in the store to kill time (again, due to being depressed), pulling her mask down occasionally to catch her breath or to take a drink due to asthma & diabetes like the employees at the store don't pull their mask down to take a drink. The cosmetics person Connie yelled at her several times and FOLLOWED her throughout the ENTIRE store for the time she was there when she shouldn't even be leaving the boutique department and can easily ask other employees to keep an eye on my mom if she's that much of a threat to the store lol. She embarrassed my mom several times looking down on her and making it look like she was stealing or breaking huge rules around the store when no other employee thought otherwise. Anytime she'd catch my mom looking at a product for too long she'd come up to her and ask why and then one day came when my mom started explaining to her about her depression and she told my mom that's she's BANNED from the store not to mention anytime she'd say something to my mom, my mom would always listen to her. She's so confident in her decision in openly insulting and discriminating a disabled person from a minority group that she provided my mom with a card of the store saying to call and confirm with store manager. Good to know that the store manager encourages this behaviour from his employees. It has come to the point where I'd like the store to show us the video recordings of my mom doing anything wrong in the store if she's going to be banned from the store because I will not be staying silent regarding this. How the staff treats people in this store is incredibly disgusting. I had an issue with one of their cosmetics staff being rude for no reason not so long ago and now this. Looks like they can't seem to hire one sensible person in the cosmetics department

When Billy Gibbons ( ZZ Top ) said " you can buy anything at the dollar store.. you can even buy…read more. cheap sunglasses ..." ( You gotta know the song ). Well he is right. You can find anything at the dollar store !! I love this store because I can find things that cost a few bucks less than at other stores and works just as well. Do not expect much customer service there, they stock the shelves so much that basically if you dont see it, they dont have it . Here is where the deals are : Gravy mixes ( 2 packs for $1.25 ) Aluminum foils and containers Dish soaps storage containers picture frames . The one thing you really have to stay away from is batteries ( useless ) , headphones ( unless you really like tinny sounding tones , hdmi cables, tools, USB cables. But other than that the quality of most of their products are money saving . There is a cashier there, an older lady, who seems to be always there and she is just a great lady to talk to for a few seconds. There are lineups but they can process you quickly enough. Now I wrote in the beginning of this review about cheap sunglasses.. is that song in your head now?

Here's the deal with Winners: there's a whole lot of crappy, irregular, odd, rejected clothing, but…read moreamongst the crappiness there are definitely some awesome items. I got my very first pair of Converse All Star sneakers here for half the price they'd be in another store, and I also got my second pair here for a steal of a deal as well. I've found a few nice shirts and some really nice pants. A lot of the dress pants will say "dry clean only." I've washed and dried both pairs that I bought and nothing happened to them--is this dry clean warning really a big conspiracy? I get lots of socks and underwear at Winners too, Last time, I found this amazing pair that had a comic strip pattern all over it with a hot pink trim! But why does the underwear rack have to be right by the change rooms? There's a chair right in front of it, and half the time there's a guy sitting there waiting for his girlfriend, and I just get a little embarrassed of someone watching me go through underwear. For some reason, I'm okay with broadcasting the type of undies I like all over Yelp--makes total sense, I know. The housewares section is also worth checking out at Winners. There's some great deals on otherwise expensive brand-name stuff like pots and pans. I've seen some really unique items like pink kettles and knights in armour statues. The styles of everything at Winners really varies from really conservative to very funky, so I think practically anyone can come here and possibly find something they'll love.
