Giant Tiger is a discount stores that sells pretty much everything from clothing, house hold items, food, books and gifts. It's similar to a Zellers but on a much smaller scale. Granted. not everything is top of the line quality and you really have to look through their stock, but sometimes it's worth taking the time. I'm impressed with the kids clothing and accessories as they carry brand names that I currently use - kuddos in my books. Some of the mens and womens clothing is questionable, but it's not the place to buy your wardrobe basics but is a decent place to get the trendy things you know you'll wear for this season and want something new for the next. The household section has a good offering and college students - heads up - it's a good place to get your dorm room outfitted. They have decent bedroom sets and decor items. Their curtains is something that caught my eye as they are reasonably priced and are of reasonable quality. Let's face it, you'll want to redecorate you're area after 5 or so years and don't want to feel guilty for putting away the ultra-expensive curtains you bought. The food section is very small but if you forgot milk, cheese or the like you can pick it up here. The packaged and non-perishable foods are price well and worth stocking up on. They have a small area of toys, which of course is the first draw for kids. They have brand name items so I feel better looking through and buying here. Then few minutes later she starts calling my attention again from the end of the aisle saying they'll be closing soon. So I said yes I'll be right there. I got at the line up 5mins before 9pm and looked at last item at the checkout area then one lady (which I believe was the manager) told me " we are done for the day, we are just waiting for you!". So I said okay, at my phone there's still few minutes left and she still answer back "there's 1 minute left on my time". Like wow sorry we don't t have our watch synchronized! For me, I get jt, it's last few minutes and they want to go home. I work on retail as well BUT we never treat our customers like that. Instead of how she approached me, she could've said " sorry we are closed now, is there anything we can help you with/or find? I love fun pictures of my baby so this attempt to bring me to the store worked. Unfortunately my baby wasn't in the happiest mood. I think he was a bit scared of the bunny. It was still a cute picture. The owner was kind to offer a retake but my husband and I decided our baby was not going to warm up to the bunny. No purchase was necessary for the Polaroid picture but food bank donations were being accepted. Outside the store there was a sign that said the "Everything you didn't know you needed" Store. I thought this sign summed up this store nicely. It's a variety discount store filled with random items. It's is a great place to find a unique gift for someone. I also thought it's great to find stocking stuffers here. They have things for babies to adults. The prices I saw ranged from $5-$75. The most expensive item being an instant Polaroid camera bundle. For adults they have household items, body care items, clothes, blankets, stationary and knickknacks. For babies and kids they had mostly toys but there were also baby blankets and teethers. I bought a couple Hydroflask stainless steel water bottles for $18 each which was less expensive than usual. Fun store!

I purchased a set of 4 Marvel Heroes glasses and one time through the dishwasher, the graphics were coming off. They did allow me to return them which was kind given that they could have just said no return because graphic glasses should be hand washed. I've bought a few good items and a few misses. Yesterday, I did snag a rainbow loom kit with hook and 40 colours for only $9 for my niece for Christmas. Take a peek if you have time but I wouldn't go out of your way to make a visit.
