The newer store off 50th Street has nice staff and many good deals. You can get quatity clothes many times for $3 to $5 . These are new clothes much cheaper than places like Goodwill . Last visit I got 3 different styles of Playboy heavy hoodies for $5 each , 4 good quality warm sweaters with various university names on front for $5 each as well . Useful bargain/liquidation store but you NEED time to go on the hunt. Kind of like hunting for the elusive unicorn at Value Village. You need to know your worth here because some stuff is poor quality and overpriced. Other items are an deal hunter's dream. More often than not, I leave with nothing in hand. This store is remarkable! The coolest part about it is that Bianca Amor is only 19 years old! She got into business when she entered her TEENS! When I first went to this store, I was expecting a store full of junk that no one would want. That was my impression of what a liquidation store was all about. I suppose in a way it sort of resembles an enormous garage sale only the stuff is new. They've got a variety of different stuff at super low prices. The merchandise really varies - there's "As Seen On TV" stuff, toiletries from bankrupt American drug stores, cheap imported stuff that was purchased in bulk. I'm really not doing it justice. Ha! When you go, I'd recommend going on a weekday during the day if possible but weekends are totally crazy. Be sure to go up and down all the aisles because they get new stock in all the time and things move around. Sometimes you're not sure what's around the next corner which really is part of the fun! They've got crayons and stationary with some interesting Engrish on them as well as Asian characters. Some of the stuff you've seen on infomercials and wondered if it really worked...ask the staff. Seriously, chances are pretty good they took a chance on it. If not, sometimes it's worth forking over a few bucks rather than the "three easy payments of $9.99." I bought some batteries super cheap - a package of 40 AAs for like $2. I went for the tweezers that light up and have a magnifying glass "As Seen On TV" for my mom because she was excited during a commercial once. The cashier said she tried them and they are actually good quality and work really well. I also got a super soft throw blanket really cheap. Proceed with caution for sure, but go in with an open mind. Their stock changes and replenishes all the time. If you saw something interesting one time but not the next, tell a staff member and they'll take your name and number and give you a call when they get it in. My favourite cheap gadgets and gizmos and lots of useful junk. Well maybe not junk but still useful. This place seems to be well organized. However it feels like shopping in a secret hideout. For instance the roof is not welcoming as though it were in construction for years. Anywho, that's not the point in this review. The products are cheap and mostly all made in China. You can find gifts or toys for almost anyone. If you come down here, do take a browse, you'll definitely find something you've probably been looking for. If you were born from the 80's-90's you'll find stuff as a kid that you have use to have. This place also tries to keep with times such as fidget spinners, electronic items, and etc. Ladies there are also fancy jewelry but not legit but still look decent. I felt very much unappreciated, as a customer! I asked the lady at the Customer Service desk, who was at the time, the only person ringing in items for paying customers, "Why are you the only one working?" She just laughed. I said, "I'm being serious." She replied, "They're all busy doing other stuff." There were six customers waiting in line to pay for their items, and at least three other employees in the store, doing other stuff, but definitely not concerned about customer appreciation. I then asked her if she knew what a secret shopper was. She laughed again. I said, "Apparently you don't know." Fortunately, I'm not a secret shopper and it's unfortunate you're not being made aware of what's happening in your facility. If this is how you want your manager to operate your store, then carry on. They're doing a solid job of failing you. I know I'm just a small drop in the bucket, but there is a ripple effect and I really like keeping my money in my pocket to spend else where. Other than being WAAAAAY on the other side of town for me - this place is pretty awesome. Finding everyday household items at a significant discount is easily achievable here. I can't get over the prices for the area rugs!!! From teeny tiny to ginormous - they have it all and the prices are unbelievably low compared to what I am used to seeing. I bought one a few years back and have not had one issue with the quality - if you are willing to look for it, you can find some pretty nice ones. For some inexplicable reason I usually end up spending more on my animals here than on myself or anything else. Your run of the mill pet supplies are super cheap (pet beds, brushes/cat hair catchers, toys, leashes/collars, etc). I would recommend this place for a first time 'mover outer' as this is a great place to get your basics without breaking the bank (more than is already unavoidable when moving out for the first time). At checkout, the rug that I wanted to buy was priced at $189, but the register showed it as $299. It had a big yellow handwritten (Hollywood $189) price tag tagged on the rug. They refused to sell it to me for the advertised price saying this price tag is for another mat. I said the price tag says Hollywood, and the back of the rug says Hollywood. After I asked to speak to a manager, they said there was no one. I asked who was in charge, and this lady pointed to this man. I approached him, and after much heated argument, it turned into a quite a scene. Customers that was shopping around was yelling to them to sell it for the advertised price, explaining that by law, if you advertised something, you have to honor it as a business. Then they started blaming and yelling at the sales guy(the only white associate) that was helping me that it was his fault and he would have to compensate them for this mistake. I was so disturbed by that statement. I stepped in again re-stating for the second time that this guy did nothing wrong. All he did was took the rug i wanted off the display, and rolled it up. They kept saying it was his fault. I told them any of their staff could have put this price tag up on the rug on any given day After much debate, the man says he will give it to me for the advertised price but its final sale. I said fine, and we were walking to the front to pay . Then a lady runs up screaming no, its not their fault, and they refused to honor the advertised priced. I told them I don't care whose fault it is. I just want them to do the right thing. They refused. I don't think I have ever experienced such crooked business misconduct in broad daylight. I was so upset with the way they treated that employee on the sales floor, that I approached the him on my way out, explaining that I am a General Manager of a big retail chain, and he should come see me if things go south in there. I don't know who Bianca Amor is, but if I ever meet her in person I will thank her for opening this store. It is huge and packed full of all kinds of household items, clothing, art, hardware, office supplies, toys, and novelty items. I don't even know how to describe the wide range of what is sold here, all at rock bottom prices. I feel like I am writing the script for a commercial, but I have found deals here that are on par or better than at dollar stores. Most of the items I have bought here have cost less than five dollars and include mittens, a safety jacket to wear on my bicycle, fingertip massagers, a first aid kit, and a case for my laptop. A lot of the things sold here look like they were imported from China, while others things are overstocks, closeout items, and things that have been discontinued. Going through the many aisles is like an adventure. Anyone who likes to go bargain hunting has to pay a visit here. read more

We bought a helicopter for our 6 year old for xmas.It didn't work.We had to fight to return it as I couldn't find the receipt.We finally found it and took it back for an exchange.They didn't have any of the spy copters left so we got a different one brought it home and it was missing parts! Terrible customer service in the new Southside location in Edmonton I got there about 10 minutes before closing and the floor staff said we are closed I mentioned that its not 9:00 pm yet. I will have to complain to the owner. They told me hurry up hurry up. We don't get paid for catering you past this time. I was very upset. I think this kind of attitude and customer relations should be left at home not here. I suggest the staff go thru a comprehensive customer relations training course. The following paragraphs defines what occurred, and I have included a copy of the receipt of the day in question. ------------------- I am perplexed as to why I was issued a Notice to Vacate your establishment. I entered your business today, September 24th, 2014, shortly after 5:00 p.m. I casually strolled up and down the isle, intent on purchasing a case for my blackberry. About 15 minutes into my shopping experience I headed towards customer service to inquire if there were any washrooms to utilize, but I spotted the washroom sign and proceeded in that direction. I had no merchandise in my hands so I quickly entered the ladies room. After my business, I resumed my shopping in the last isle I was browsing in. I came across a pair of socks, picked up two pairs and continue up and down the isles. I then came across a dog leash which also offered a watering bottle. I then moseyed in the rug area and came across 6 x 8 mat and picked a green one. I carried those three items around until I entered the isle with more pet supplies. I noticed another leash for a dog and placed the current one I was holding, back on a hook in the same area. At that moment I had to revisit the washroom with haste. My lunch wasn't wasting anytime trying to depart from my intestine. Since I was carrying unpaid merchandise, I leaned the mat against the wall and placed the pairs of socks on top of picture frames leaning on the wall just outside the washrooms and proceeded in the ladies room. Satisfied my business was complete, I reclaimed the mat and socks, and resumed my shopping once more. I returned to the pet supply isle and picked up a different leash. I continued up and down the isles, but was unsuccessful of finding a case for my cell phone. I paid for my merchandise with my debit card at 6:25 p.m. As I about to leave with my paid possessions, an employee approached me. The lady held out a piece of paper and she stated, "I have to give this to you." I read it silently and I questioned the lady as she was walking away, why was this issued. She did not have an answer. I walked up to the customer service and placed the piece of paper on the desk and stated, "Well, you can keep this and give it to someone who deserves it." I walked out of the store and placed my merchandise in my vehicle and drove home. I've shopped in your establishment multiple times. I enjoy moseying up and down every isle and I do take my time. I've been a devoted consumer and have spent unknown amounts of money. I have no reason, no desire, nor any cause to shoplift inconsequential items from you. I'm a former public servant for 20+ years. Army, RCMP, and Corporate Security are few of my uniforms I've earned the right to wear. Based on the fact no employees approached me during my browsing or before payment, nor was I confronted by a loss prevention officer and the 'Notice to Vacate' was issued AFTER making my purchases, I can only presuppose my heritage was the foundation for the issuance of the notice. Discrimination is a Human Rights matter. I formally request an explanation as to why and on what grounds was the 'Notice to Vacate' issued. This unknown matter was brought to you. We bought a couch cover last March 9, 2020 in one of your Bianca Amor located (11260 163 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5M 1Y6). Upon trying it in our couch, in less than 5mins, we removed it as it was too small. I returned it properly in the original package and saved the receipt. I stored it to the closet as we waited for the time to be free from work so we can return it within 30 days. March 20, went back to the store today, drove for 20mins just to exchange the product. Upon entering the store, the old guy look so unfriendly when he noticed the product I was holding. I approached him and he said that they can not take the product due to COVID-19, without checking the product. I told him about the 30-day policy and told him that they didn't post anything in the website regarding the policy changes. I approached the other staff, she checked and removed the product from the package, sniffed and said that it smells bad. I got offended by that as she didn't even inspect the whole product and to tell honestly, the product smells the same since the day we got it and was stuck in the package. As we were talking about the policy, the staff gathered and spoke in their foreign language which is unprofessional. If they are cautious about COVID-19, why they aren't wearing mask and gloves to protect themselves and not following the social distancing? They refused to take the product back, and returned it to me without putting it properly in the package. I got frustrated the way they approached and dealt the situation and felt embarrassed as they literally spoke in their language and in front of the other customers. I even asked for the store manager and said that they don't have a manager and turned their back away from me. Unlike reviewers before me, I wasn't that impressed with Bianca Amor's Liquidation Super Centre. Sure this store is huge, and sure there is an eclectic selection of products...but liquidation centre is liquidation centre. Everything sold here looks like it is of inferior quality. The store is rather dirty, and at the time of my visit there was water leaking through the roof. I came to Bianca Amor's on a weekday, and the place wasn't particularly busy. It's always fun to explore new stores, so I took my sweet time to browse the selection of available products. Imagine the store that sells everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, and you will get the idea of what this liquidation centre is like. There are rugs and cookware, skin care items and wall art, bedding and kitchen accessories, DVDs and books, electronics and toys. Close to the back of the store, there is a furniture section. The selection is overwhelming, especially if you are just browsing and don't really know what to buy. After familiarizing myself with the store's selection, the only things I bought were 2 DVDs with old Hollywood movies priced 2 for $10. Also, I almost bought a black and white picture (the selection of pictures is quite nice here, actually) but then didn't because the frame was a bit crooked. All in all, not a bad store; definitely worth browsing from time to time. I know that I will come back armed with patience and persistence. read more

We bought a remote control helicopter, got it home and the remote didn't work. We live 70 miles out of the city. Back to the store. They WON'T return your money. We took another helicopter. Only one of the motors worked. Another trip back to the store. Third time's a charm. This one is missing a little brass drive gear. Are we the only one's with problems? If you see an item in the so called flyers does not mean that they have it in the store. I saw an item in the flyer before the Grand Opening on Aug 10, 2011. I had gone 3 times before the opening and was told it is probably in boxes that they had not opened yet. On Aug 10, 2011 the day of the Grand Opening I was told that it was in the other flyer and was sold out. I looked in what they said was the new flyer and it was there again. I was told it was sold out!!! I think the place stinks and will not be going back. Making a trip on the other side of the City was not only a waste of my time and money I spent on gas getting there!! read more

This is the Edmonton South Store. I initially liked this place. Like people said, good prices on rugs. I however just had a terrible experience today.I purchased a Tub of recycled paint on Thursday 27th May around noon. I specifically asked a lady working at the back of the store that I needed white color paint, and if this paint was white. She told me that it should be white, but if it's not, I could return it. When I opened it, it was light brown, so I tried to return it today. The person in charge there (a middle age Pilipino lady with glasses) was somewhat rude and will not refund the money saying that "We are a Liquidation Store and we cannot take back paint" I did not use any of the paint and no seal was broken on the paint tub. The container is like an ice cream tub that can be opened and re-sealed. It's not the money as it was only $19. It is the principal and customers expect better treatment. It was extremely stupid of that Pilipino lady to upset a customer for $19. I sure hope head office will fire her. read more
