Hello, thank you in advance for taking the time to read my concern and issue with the policy I recently encountered. I want to begin by saying that I think Walmart is an amazing organization who actively participates and donates locally so before I complain, know that I have great appreciation for the work that you all do.
My issue starts with the way your distribution centers are run, I am currently experiencing my second bad experience with your sparks, NV distribution center. Being a company built on efficiency, I want you to please at least explain to me why your employees are allowed to work less efficiently and due to the fact that they allow themselves to exclude any truck from entering inbound Walmart carrier lanes even though they are empty and the line for the outside carrier carries out to the road but if that causes anyone to be late, it is our fault. They Turn us around if we come more then an hour early, and due to the fact that there was no ramp on the exit due to construction I arrived today at 3:00am with an appointment of 3:30am, I was on Walmart PROPERTY before my appointment time and Due to the fact that they closed down the exit at night made me detour out even further. By the time I arrived to the security gate it was already 3:44ish, I couldn't believe that nobody wanted to get these trucks in faster due to the pile up that built up. After docking and after going through all the requirements needed before turning in the paperwork officially I arrived at the window, the lady made me sign paper stating I arrived there at 3:57am. Please explain to me this, I do not understand how WALMART EMPLOYEES are allowed to work less efficiently which costs US not only TIME but now MONEY. I tried to talk to the lady who approached me and explained the policy that I do not understand why nobody wanted work more effetiently by utilizing both lines to get the trucks in when there but somehow we have to lose money. Her reply to me was "that is why we give you one hour to get here before your appointment time" she did not address anything I said but hid behind the policy as she shut me.... but what really offended me is that even though I was told that I would be worked in as soon as possible, when it came time to give me a buzzer the lady wanted to throw in the comment "actually you don't even need this because by the time they're done unloading you that thing will die out" so we will just call your phone when it's done....
I work very hard for my money, I don't try to cheat my way out of things. I apologize for voicing this but I think as much as Walmart is doing good for the community with their stores and costumer service, their distribution centers not have the same standard in helping companies that they partner with and work with, we LOSE money from our pockets and as they have us pay dearly, all because the WALMART employees choose to not work harder when they clearly have the opportunity to and when issues arise they hide behind what they were told to tell upset costumers....except now it is at our expense, we are already losing time away from being home.... please do not make us suffer by allowing your staff to do mediocre work while we are the ones paying for it dearly. It has now been 6 hours since I arrived here, I lost a load because of this, nobody has approached me nobody has tried contacting me.... If this is how Walmart operates then I think it is safe to say it is not right that they allow their distribution centers to have a whole different level of standard towards their service and efficiency then what they present in the storefront when everyone's watching, it is not right that as the company gives money and products away to people, while indirectly they take money from us due to their unfair regulations and rules that protect their slow moving employeees at our expense. read more
