Well, as another reviewer said, it is a Wal-Mart, but I have seen better. It is medium-sized and always seems to be out of something. Cons: Quite some years ago, I heard that our Wal-Mart is used to get rid of leftovers from other Wal-Marts out of the area and I believe it because it is not uncommon for us to buy something and never be able to find it again. When they expanded their food selection several areas where downsized to make room, including the toy, pet and craft sections. (Although, in their defense, at least they still have a craft area, K-mart cut out theirs quite some years ago.) They used to have a long aisle of school and office supplies but now it is a joke. Speaking of the pet center, the last time I checked out their fish, they didn't look good. All of their fish are stuffed into tiny tanks and a couple of them had dead fish. When my brother and I returned the next day, they had not cleaned them out and at least half a dozen fish had then died. At that point ( over 24 hours later), an employee was finally cleaning out the tanks. As my brother said, he doesn't mind buying supplies there, but he would never want to buy fish there. The front lanes never have enough cashiers and the lines are often very long. Even many of the other sections of the store that allow you to purchase items seem to have long lines. Pros: They have cheap prices? The store and bathroom are very clean. In fact, the bathroom even smells nice, and is far more pleasant to use then the Ray's bathroom. They still have their drinking fountains; again, unlike Ray's which removed theirs many years ago. read more

Too many stupid, unhelpful, unmotivated employees. A lot of out of stock items even though they are listed as in stock on the website. They don't have a handle on running a retail store at all. Very disappointing. A big waste of time. read more

It's Walmart... Really no other place to shop in this city. Employees where super helpful... I think I was asked if I need help at least three times. If you do come here looking for a sun visor for your car do not go to the automotive section... They have it by the counter they do oil changes at. Store also ran out of bags completely which I thought was funny... Many people around me did not. I do not know if it is a common thing for them to run out of bags but be prepared for that. Store was at least organized and clean. Bathrooms need work... They had tap holding up the paper towels to the wall... read more

Why does Walmart in Clearlake and Ukiah store's bring there house dog's in the store's. They put them dirty dog's in the shopping cart were we put are groceries. I was at the Walmart store in ukiah. This pitbull mix and his owner were walking in front of me and they stoped and the dog took a crap and the owner just walked away and left it on the floor. I stopped shopping at those store. I would rather spend a little more money for my groceries the get sick from some dog.... I thought that service dog are certified and wear there yellow vest. I tried petting what some lady said was a service dog riding in a grocery cart and the dog snapped at me. read more

Lets give credit where credit is due. When I am staying at the house on Clearlake Walmart is the place to go for tons of things. They seem to have it all, and they are open later than most of the hardware stores. The employees are clean, the store is clean. If you ask for help you will be helped. The outcome will be unclear, but they will do the best they can. They have everything. It's inexpensive. Its much better than driving 25+ miles to find something you need, at a store that closed hours earlier, or that isn't open on Saturday. They have clothes, boat parts, and a fishing license for uncle charlie who wants to fish off the dock. read more

Wal Mart is a love-hate relationship for me: Love the low prices and some of the inventory. Hate the crowded aisles, not-so-clean store, long lines, hassle finding shopping carts, long waits for returns, and grumpy customers. Clearlake seems to be a little more troublesome than most other Wal Marts I have visited. I'd also like to see them a little more active in the local community. read more

This is by far the dirtiest walmart I have ever been in. I spent the last year living in Bentonville AR and I think that they must never quality control this one! It is dirty. they leave flats of food that need to be stocked in the back in the sporting goods section of the store and in the toy aisles. You can not walk around freely. The employees do not wear their walmart shirts just pins and always look dirty and not well taken care of. The manager cannot take care of problems efficiently. Ive had too many issues in this store. I wish there was somewhere better to shop when I am visiting my grandparents. I am not sure why the standards are so low here. Stock your shelves and mop the floors. The floors are literally covered in dirt.... I dropped my iphone and hesitated to pick it up because the floors are so dirty. I am considering moving to the Clear lake area to escape the insanity of all the money worshiping, ego car driving, fake people in SoCal.. I wanted to read the reviews of wal-mart. I was not surprised that all the self proclaimed "Pretty people" had nothing good to say about "Real people" and real stores that made America Great. I am glad to see that the sidewalks , where they exist. are rolled up at 5 P.M. for the most part.I am glad to see that folks are secure enough in themselves to come to Wal-mart as they are and don't feel the need to impress anyone. I won't be in the store until mid February when we come there to look at homes for sale but you can be assured that I will leave a "Real time" review on those visits. read more

It's Walmart in Lake County. Get in and out as fast as you can. The employees are always nice and helpful. They always have everything in stock we need and the prices are great. The store is usually clean (even the restrooms). Considering there aren't a lot of choices in Lake County, Walmart is the perfect place to shop. Avoid people in the parking lot at all costs. Don't make eye contact. The homeless and drug user problems have gotten worse since Ray's closed down. read more

I visited Clearlake earlier this summer and stopped into this Walmart with my mother to buy her an immersion blender. We stopped by a display next to the beauty section and selected 3 $1 face masks. As we put them into our cart, I was stopped by a cashier telling me I had to buy them in the beauty section and their little pop up register. Not only is that ridiculous to make me check out twice, but I highly resent the implication that I would steal $3 worth of product. Second, while leaving the store carrying only the immersion blender and the receipt for it in my hand, I was stopped at the doorway (maybe 10 feet from where I exited the register section) and asked to show my receipt. I am not a criminal, I am a tourist visiting a town. I have NEVER been treated like I was breaking the law so much in any other walmart I have ever been to and I will never return to this store again. If you want to get tourists into your quickly-declining town, maybe don't treat them like criminals when they support your business. Shame on you. Will never come back to this location and will tell everyone I know to avoid it as well. read more

Shopping on this side of the lake is very limited and Wal-Mart does have it all with good prices and groceries too. I go to Wal-Mart to get as much staples as I can 'cuz going to Safeway is MUCH more expensive. They have just about everything, including kayaks in season. I try to plan going there as early in the morning as possible, before everybody and their brother gets there, cuz I've almost gone postal several times there. Sometimes the closeness of the aisles gets too overwhelming and nobody wants to move their cart. The employees are very helpful. Sometimes I wish they would open more cashiers. McDonald and Carl's Jr is right on the property also. read more

If i could give this place 0 stars I would. 1st I ordered a pretzel and was told 10 min I went back 8 min later and was told oh sorry I haven't even started on yours. Then we went back to get our car from the auto department and after having the car for on hour they were just getting started on the oil change and the people who work there Coy thought it was funny. We were the only car I the oil change bay when we arrived so there is NO reason that it shouldn't have been done. Maybe if James would stop talking and do some work things might get done faster. Had 16 items on my list to pick up from Walmart. They were out of 5! This store seems to have the worst inventory system I've ever experienced. They haven't had Bounty Select-a-Size paper towels or Fancy Feast seafood assortments for my last dozen visits. They frequently are out of coffee filters, Adams peanut butter, batteries, various kinds of ammunition, and Equate baby aspirin, among others. Truly amazing! read more

I don't know what it is about bringing your dogs into Walmart! I limit my shopping time and list due to severe allergies within my family. Not to mention, its gross! This review is on their pharmacy. I had 2 prescriptions. Had looked up the prices on line before I went in. They honored the price on one because it was on their list of $4 scripts. I had a coupon for the other. The woman wouldn't even look at it. Gave me their retail price and told me to take it or leave it. So, I left it. I just spoke with CVS. They said they'll be happy to honor the coupon. I don't think I've ever been treated so badly at a pharmacy. I'm giving 2 stars because of the one $4 prescription. That is a great price. This happened right after they opened. I'd hate to have to deal with this woman at the end of her shift. You'd think the discount was coming out of her pocket. read more

Customer service counter is right by the front door and there is always a line. This counter area is in the way of people coming into the store and restrooms are to close to this counter and Subway Shop, and is always cluttered and dirty. In the back of the store seems more appropriate (bad feng shui) Overall the apperance of the store is unpleasant and dirty. Cashiers appear sloppy and are unprofessional. Floor tiles are dirty and need replacing. Hard to find dressing rooms. Poor selections of merchandise. I find the general experience of going there unpleasant and avoid going there if I can help it. read more

This store isnt the worst Walmart I have ever been to. You have to stay clear during the first of the month or at least dont expect to get much during that time. The locals are a sad lot. Elderly, obese, meth addicts, or young mothers with too many babies. The cashiers in the front mostly look like tweakers but are somewhat efficient. Also I liked it better with a more enforced uniform because alot of the women are wearing too tight of cloths for their bigger frames. The customer service line is always outrageous. They need to seperate the money transfers and check cashing from the return desk. The site to store is run really well. I dont usually wait long and the ladies back there are super friendly and helpful. Its a bummer its the only department store in town because the prices are on the higher side compared to a bigger city. read more

I have had nothing but problems with this service department. I run four vehicles with my business, travel up and down the west coast. Because of the vehicles being on the road out of town so much, I used Walmart so I could use the warranties. Problems; they broke hood latch took two weeks to repair, they always say an oil change an hour plan to wait 2 or more, I just went in to have a tire checked for a slow leak and was first told they might not be able to repair cause the tire had cracks in the tread. However, they could get me a tire. Then I showed them I had a new tire on back rack. The fellow who looked like an older Clearlake type then said that he would not put this tire on his car cause the sun probably had damaged the tire even though it was covered. Finlay I Told him that if the tire on the vehicle could not be repaired I wanted the new tire put on. He then refused to do that because he saw that a lug nut was missing on the tire to be repaired. The last time I got an oil change I had had them rotate the tires meaning the nut missing had either not been tightened properly or they had left it off. Bottom line slow bad service that only goal is to try to sell you another tire not needed. Use this service department go to another tire store they have a number of them in town. As a local resident, there are not many choices. At the checkout, I swiped my Citibank credit card and it didn't take, so I tried swiping again several times. The very nice cashier said the charge did not go through. At that point I tried my Bank of America credit card and the transaction was completed and I was given my cash register receipt. When I got home, I went online and the charge appears on BOTH cards. I went back to the store and went through a huge runaround. Finally, the customer service person understood, made copies of my receipt and documentation showing the charge appearing on both cards. he wrote a note to the "cash desk" including my name and phone number. No one called me. I called this after noon and had to explain to 4 different people the whole story. Then the guy from customer service got on the phone and explained that it was all my fault because I didn't call early in the morning. Ugh!!!!! So, I said, have the cash desk call me. I do a lot of .com shopping, however every time I call them about an order they can't find anyone, and tell me to call back, so I can get disconnected until I let them know what they have done. I've been calling 6 days in a row and no-one is in .com to help, so usually I have to drive their, which is difficult as I'm disabled..
