We stopped here to get some basic items and a few clothing items. The basic toiletry items were ok, but we could not find the clothing we were looking for. I was surprised that they had items that I used to see years ago in this store, for example, Camay soap. The store was not very clean and it was hard to find the sections we were looking for. Being a first time customer is hard here. Some of the prices were more than other local stores, which was not expected. Was glad when we got out of there. A shout out to the Walmart in Clearlake. Yesterday I couldn't find my wallet. Looked all over for it I remembered the last place I saw it was the self check out line at Walmart. I went back there and asked the guy at the door, he went to check and came back with my wallet. Everything was in it, including my money I was thrilled. I thought there was a chance my wallet might be returned but with things missing out of it...like cash or credit cards...but everything was in place just as I left it. I am leaving this review because their electronics department excels at failing miserably regarding scanning cell phones before pick-up or delivery options. I got locked out of my cell phone account (that I have had for a decade) thanks to whomever didn't scan this item properly. This is apparently such a common issue that the agent for AT&T said they get at least ten of these calls a day regarding phones locking customers out of their accounts due to these phones coming from Walmart/Dollar General because their staff are blatantly not scanning items properly, essentially screwing over customers. I am sure this issue will not be remedied, as there are ample complaints ongoing with this identical issue, and why bother elevating customer service in an area where people act like they couldn't care less, right? read more

If you ever order/deliver for Spark or Walmart online orders, you should know that this particular store likes to cancel orders to try to make their stats look good. It's a dirty trick, but it works (until they get caught). And they do it a lot, at the customers expense and at the delivery person's expense. Or, they'll just reassign orders for other days. You can wait right? Trust me it's not about order volume. It's about them not liking the customer (maybe they recognize you as someone who had filed a complaint?) or they don't like the Spark delivery driver (maybe you don't get out to load orders with them, which btw you are not obligate to do) And they will target you with complaints and harassment if you dare to vocally disagree with some of their tricks & underhanded activity. They have just about everything in the pharmacy locked in glass cases.So I pushed the button to get help,three times,and no one ever showed up.This happens almost every time I go there.So I asked an employee in the pharmacy if they could call someone to help me? They flat out told me no,that I needed to push the button.I explained that I did,three times,and she told me that she didn't know then why no one was coming to help.I asked if she could unlock it for me and she again told me no and that she was too busy.She only had one customer at the counter. Tire Store Warning: Twice I've had tires mounted at the Clearlake WM. First time was just OK, with lug nuts reasonably within torque spec. But next ..... Second time = Fail! Do grease monkeys still exist in the 21st century? They over-torqued my 1989 Jeep wheel lug bolts, which are specified for 80 Ft/lbs torque, to over 150 ft/lbs! And I mean on both front wheels! Only two stock Jeeps of any year are spec'ed over 130 ft/lbs, the Grand Wagoneer and the Wrangler. I used a torque wrench to check their work, and to reset each lug correctly. If this had happened on the road, no way could the lugs have been removed without a 4-foot breaker bar. What a hazard! Next time: a real tire store for me. read more

This store is always out of common every day items, the staff do not know when items will be available. The lines at the pharmacies is usually too long. If you call in a Rx it's never ready even though your electronic notification system says it's ready. The store managers refuse to fix the problems and they change staff like a revolving door. Most are so young and inexperienced and are too scared of getting fired they don't escalate the problems to management. Since the pandemic they are REQUIRED to limit the amount of people in the store which THEY DO NOT DO on a regular basis. They frequently allow young people to cut in front of you and allow people in check out line to mingle with those still shopping. They do not enforce Social distancing. They will not call security when people cut in line or disobey the County requirements. Now they say they aren't allowing anyone in without a mask even though I have a letter of exemption due to breathing problems and an email exemption from the Lake County Health Department. After complaining to their Corporate offices they instituted this rule to keep seniors with breathing problems out of their store. They do not have enough handicap carts working or handicap spaces in front of their store. In fact they took away four ADA handicap spaces for their security staff that seldom park in those spaces and they did not replace those required ADA spaces for handicapped parking. Just because they are the only discount store in the County should not give them the right to break the City, County & State laws required of every other business in this state. I realize they are a great source of income in property tax & sales tax but they should be required to follow the laws and mandates like anyone else. read more

I have been refused the 2nd bivalent covid booster twice now at the WalMart Pharmacy. Pharmacist stated they had no "directive" from Corporate regarding the 2nd booster so refused to administer it. The CDC has put out a recommendation that individuals who are 65 years of age and older or immunocompromised that have received a single dose of a bivalent vaccine may receive one additional dose following their initial bivalent dose. This policy is clearly stated on CVS and RiteAid websites. I think this is borderline malpractice and it is alarming if "corporate" has in fact overlooked the CDC recommendation. I wish I could complaint to corporate, but they don't seem to encourage feedback. read more

I just wrote a review for the Walmart in Martinez, and got an idea: I should write a review for this Walmart. This is not only a discount store to get just about everything you need except the kitchen sink. It has practically become the gathering place of Lake County. Think about it. Lake County is a remote area, far from the nearest interstate. Transportation adds to the cost of goods here, so things are expected to be higher in Lakeport, Nice, Kelseyville, and others. With Walmart's economies of scale, it's usually worth it to drive around the lake to go here, even with gas being $4/gallon. And I think a lot of north lake and west lake residents do. Like all Walmarts, this is one-stop shopping, so it's worth the excursion for lots of things in one trip. For a few items, though, it's better to stick to the mom-and-pops on the west side. I can't speak for everything being the lowest price around Clear Lake. They have food, but where I live, I've found better food at lower prices in other grocery stores. Might be the same situation in Clearlake, I don't know. I'd figure that Grocery Outlet in Lakeport beats Walmart's prices with food. But selection? Oh yeah. I camp up here, and when I have emergencies - low batteries, air mattress that gets a hole in it, health food (cookies!) - Walmart has everything I need. Okay, stop laughing about the "People Of Walmart" thing. County residents come as they are, wherever they go, and certainly at Walmart. Usually they look like the rednecks, retirees, or farmers that they are, and sometimes they do look a little funny. But they're the real deal. And they aren't snooty. The employees are helpful, too. Bottom line? If you visit Lake County, learn where Walmart is, and feel free to go here often. read more

Went to Walmart in Windsor and they are much better then Lake County. Lake County closed the entrance to the Garden Center so the lines to purchase anything are insane. Go to the Tractor Store in Clearlake next door instead. They have a great selection on animal food. read more

Sharon, Yolanda and front desk reception hung up on me after I was only hold for over 15 minutes and had to call back. Hannah who was watching the front desk area accused me of stealing, checked my receipts and realized I did nothing wrong. I am not from Clearlake but I am very disappointed in their management and staff. When I called to speak to the manager she hung up on me and told me she did not have to deal with my complaint. I took a picture of Hannah the rude worker who accused me of stealing and the time I was on hold on the phone. I will be getting in contact with a higher up manager. I tried to call back a third time to explain my problem and the front morning manager on Friday 8/18/17 said she did not have to listen to my call. Not to mention there are many many homeless begging and sitting in front of this store as well as what looks like many drunks. I don't care how the utside looks as much as the inside, but the manager shouldn't hang up the phone because she doesn't care. I would like to add this Walmart is not a huge supercenter like many other walmarts. I came to look for slippers and flip flops in August and they told me the season was over already. They seem to only stock a minimum amount of items, and al the items look like overflow from other walmarts because if you do find a clothing or shoe item you like they have selective sizes that are available. This is also the least employed Walmart I have been to. It could be due to low population in clear lake but I've written (coucidentally) another review for a different bad Walmart location that still managed to do better than this location. The employees here don't care about their jobs and I get it, it's Walmart not a fancy business career. I also did feel like it was due to the fact that me and my grandma were the only Asian women in the area. Everyone else was predominantly white. Not that it matters, but the drinks and drug addicts begging outside to come in and purchase more cigarettes and alcohol didn't look questioned at all. I did notify the manager that I would be contacting corporate since she felt like it wasn't her issue to address customer concerns. It really bothers me that the manager could get mad at me for waiting and having to call back and is allowed to hang up on me without even hearing me out for longer than 5 seconds and saying "I don't care if you make a review or complaint to Walmart, I don't have to deal with you". Trust me I will do my best to review ok even platform so this manager is known. I get it Walmart doesn't care about their staff or clients, but you have 100 cameras and 2 security guards who do nothing just like at all walmarts. We had to grab some last minute items that we forgot after getting settled at Clearlake State Park for the weekend. Luckily they opened early since the guys were in a hurry to start fishing. This Wal Mart is definitely a lot smaller than other locations we are used to, making their selection also smaller to choose from. I didn't really pay attention to prices since the items we purchased we actually needed to get anyway. Staff there was helpful although they didn't have everything we needed. Alcohol selection was very limited; we ended up getting a 4th choice of beer for the men. If we are in the area again we will stop by since this is the closest to Kelseyville in terms of a store that carries "most of everything." read more

Walmart sells us the wrong tires we return them and instead of getting our cash back we get a gift certificate for 120$ we spent $40 off the gift certificate the next week we do another $50 purchase the card doesn't work the teller tries over and over to make it work we give him $50 cash and find out later did the card did work that $50 was removed so we were charged twice I tell the manager he says we have film showing that you didn't hand over cash I said let me see the film he says no you can't do that. I locate the teller couple days later he says 'I was told not to talk to you'. Yaaaah, I'm reviewing the Evil Empire. . . I would really like to say, "Meh, I've experienced better", but in this neck of the woods as far as selection goes, this is "as good as it gets". No way am I giving this place 5 stars, mind you, but I do need to give the Devil his due here. You can get just about anything you need here, and it's the only place for miles around where you actually can--this does make this place of great service to the locals. The biggest problem that I have here are the locals. Another Yelper here once said that she never saw so many mullets in her life--LOL, I have to agree. Plus, I'm seeing a LOT of VERY obese people and people that look like they've been taking meth for a bit too long walking around here. It's not everyone by a long shot, but enough to make me take notice. It's a good place to shop and I usually end up going here at least once on a visit to Lake County because it's often the only place to get something unless I want to drive 25+ miles to get it. Compared to Walmart Stores in the Bay Area, this one is superior. A Saturday morning trip provided nowhere near the amount of chaos, and sheer rudeness I've encountered on an weekday, let alone the weekend visit to a Walmart in Milpitas or Mountain View, CA (I'll agree with other Yelpers for those stores). The cashiers are friendly at this location, an experience that I forgot existed, coming from the South Bay. There's actually a modicum of cleanliness in the building, something I can't say about the other examples. It's an interesting place to people watch, too. Seriously, in Lake County, your shopping choices are limited. It's either this place or the KMart in Lakeport. Prices are better at this place over the KMart. Bums on every corner asking for money and even one guy's sign said .. Help the homeless with some Marijuana.. WOW... that was brave. The Walmart in Clearlake, CA is FAIRLY well stocked. The Food Stamp recipients clear the shelves between the 1st-10th when they all get their benefits. The store marks up certain items...Same like the Safeway on Olympic. Shop after the 10th to get normal prices or to get itmes in stock. The PEOPLE are what make shopping here pure entertainment. (be on the look out for the white guy about 6'4" wearing women's clothing.. good laugh!). Dont slap the ignorant young mother who yells at her kids in the store just to show she kinda has her kids under control. THE STAFF is overall NICE and VERY HELPFUL...Rita and Summer in Customer Service are smart and helpful. Michelle who often works the register in the garden center area is very sweet and nice. The staff overall is pretty good as long as they are managed well... they help you find your item(s) and walk you to the item(s) you are looking for.. if they can't find it they will find someone who can find it for you. The PHARMACY sucks.. they will mess up your order.. or make you wait for an hour for a refill when you already called it in ahead of time and they said it was ready. The GARDEN dept.. DO NOT BUY FLOWERS THERE.. or anything garden related... It will wither and die before you get home. The MANAGEMENT is actually very pro active in seeking a satisfying resolution if anyone has a problem.. But what more could you ask for???
