Ukiah is a good store; they carry so many items that I cannot find anywhere. "Molasses", sweet potato syrup...all the good stuff for baking. I do hope Clearlake will catch on to our need for more healthy items. I wish the produce could be fresher and not in plastic. However, nowadays it is what it is. Sometimes I must do returns. Most of my shopping is for "Fresh Organic Produce". Plastic is not on my list. I'm so very grateful for the checkout people and workers there. They work hard and are kind and friendly. The workers are always friendly enough and are usually fast and efficient but sometimes it gets very busy in there and there are long lines. We always stop here for snacks and drinks on the way to see family in Clear Lake. There is plenty of parking, gas pumps and it's an easy on easy off from the main road. Also what I like is it feels safe enough, I don't get harassed by beggars and the parking lot is open and well lit.

My girlfriend and I came from out of town for the weekend and on our last day we stopped by this market to get some snacks and chapstick for the road. My girlfriend initially grabbed a candy bar but changed her mind and put it back and we continued to browse the store. In the back we noticed there was a section of iced beverages and took a quick look before heading to the register. We didn't initially notice the sign that said "no merchandise unless put in a basket" and was later pointed out to us by a woman working there. Then all of a sudden the man working at the counter raised his voice and confronted my girlfriend about the candy bar. We explained that we put it back but he got defensive and accusingly said "Show me". Even after showing him, he denied believing us. Then he claimed we were taking medicine in the back which was false because it was only chapstick that we were willing to buy. Then the woman chimed in and continued fabricating that we "took a long time" in the store the previous night, even though all we did was we went to browse and get some late night snacks. This is was the most utterly disrespectful and unprofessional behavior we have witnessed from any business and left a bad taste for our first visit to Clearlake. Note to Owners; Maybe CHECK your cameras before you start harassing and accusing your costumers of shoplifting. We will not be returning.

She lives in Clearlake park and said they do not shop in your store because of how rude your workers are. Why not apologize for your rude inconsiderate worker.
