I typically do my own maintenance because it's so hard to find reliable service for literally anything. Took car here on the weekend for convenience. I have no time for appointments during the week with a 50 hour schedule. Now I have to take time off Monday to address this, which typically save to visit family or travel. Took my mother's car here for an alignment on her 2017 VW. They had it for 24 hrs. They call to…read moretell her they can't do the alignment cuz she needs shocks, struts, & tires plus an alignment...but not to worry cuz they can do all of that for a mere $1400.00 We went and got the car. We took it to a local mechanic that found only wear on the tires from needing the alignment. Big O also gave us a parts list... $500 for shocks and struts $400 for tires $500 for labor Now, her car has enough miles on it the shocks and struts should be replaced anyway. I ordered them off Amazon for $200 for a complete kit. The tires I've ordered from Discount Tire and we $48 each plus I added their warranty so they came to $300. That $85 alignment nearly cost $1400. They take advantage of ppl here and I'm thinking especially the elderly that depend on others for things such as this. We used Patriot Garage recently because my daughter's brakes were making a noise. I saw the…read morenegative reviews on Yelp and was a bit concerned but I saw all the glowing reviews on Google and Facebook. I called Patriot Garage with lower expectations. I spoke with Tim and he was very helpful. I explained the issue and he was extremely patient. He made an appointment for me to come in on Monday but said if I wanted to bring it in sooner, he could try to get the car looked at (this was on a Friday morning). I said I would drop it off but needed to figure out how to get back home. He offered me a ride, which was extremely helpful. Tim called me a few hours later and told me the brakes did have an issue. He also said they perform a 20 point inspection so he provided me with options for additional work. I wasn't surprised by this and approved only the work on the back brakes. He was kind and didn't hold it against me that I didn't want to do any other work. He just said that when we're ready, we could come back to work on the other stuff. At the end of the day he called me and told me the brakes were done. He said they noticed a bubble in a rear tire and advised that I take it to a tire shop. He had zero incentive to do this. I felt like he did this out of genuine concern for our safety, which I appreciated. The process to check out and pick up the vehicle was the most convenient process. I paid online and then they left my car key in a lock box. I could pick up the vehicle at my convenience. Overall, my experience was really great and I'm happy to recommend Patriot Garage in the future as well as use them for any future service that we may need. Also, the price was around what we expected. The best part is they offered a military discount so that helped as well. Thank you, Tim, for being so helpful, friendly and patient.
