They sold me on the lifetime alignment for my Honda Odyssey years ago. Brought it in today and…read more"can't do the alignment, there is some play in the inner tie rod. Will cost 450 to replace. I said no and took it to the Honda dealer. I asked them to check that and do the alignment if indicated. They did the alignment without replacing the outer and inner tie rod. Classic example of chain shops (Firestone, Pep Boys etc) often recommend "replace both inner and outer" as a package deal. NOT GOING BACK TO A GARAGE THAT SCAMS ME.

Me and my girlfriend went to a restaurant and when I got out of the truck I heard a hissing noise…read moreand found that there was a screw in the tire so we went to auto one and bought a tire plug kit after I plugged the tire in auto zones parking lot and it was good a couple days later the tire was low again so she took the truck to jays automotive and they quoted her 1300 to put 4 new tires on the truck she had them do it and she also asked for the 3 good tires back they literally gave her 2 tires back saying one of them were bad but they gave her the one tire back that had a hole in it that I plugged and after getting the truck back she drove it and it was shaking uncontrollably so she called jays automotive and they told her to drop it off so they could find the issue after 24 hours of having the truck they called and informed her that her transmission was the issue and it needed to be flushed that cost 1200 dollars but there is a national shortage on transmission fluid the same transmission fluid I could purchase at any autozone so she told them no and took the truck to another shop but after getting the truck to another tire shop and had them check it out and they found that the tires were not balanced correctly so instead of 1200 dollars she spent 75 dollars and had her issue fixed the truck is now perfectly operational and has no issues if you are looking for a honest mechanic do not go to jays automotive

Deceptive. They'll provide you with an estimate to repair that they text and you approve, but the…read morefinal bill will include a standard charge for shop supplies (or maybe something else). For me, that was 70$ that wasn't on the original estimate. Then they text and you have to go through and approve what they did and decline what they found that needs work during their inspection and approve payment. That's where I went wrong. I was in a rush (too much to get done that day and leaving for a work trip the next morning), so just didn't pay attention because I had ALREADY approved the original estimate. Got a text alert from my crcd showing full amount of charge when I looked through my texts this morning and the charge was 70$ more than the estimate. I called the shop and the receptionist guy told me that 70$ was a standard shop supply charge everybody charged for the welder and rags and whatever else they may or may not have used in replacing my exhaust. When I asked him why it wasn't in the original estimate I approved, he gave me some BS about "Oh, when you clicked on the green payment thing when you checked out it said that would be added and I probably should have told you". Again, my fault I'll admit and I've learned a valuable lesson, but I wonder how often this happens to others and folks just let it go. I almost did. I can afford a 70$ ripoff. Don't like it, but it's not like I'm going to miss a meal or a bill payment because these bone heads decided to try and hide a 70$ charge they KNEW they were going to bill if I let them do the work. It's really the principle. They CHARGE a lot for what they do, but MAKING a lot isn't enough. The greed takes them down the "Let's add a non-disclosed 70$ shop charge when we bill and explain it away if they catch it and complain" route. Pathetic. Bad thing is I'm out 70$. Good thing is I love my truck and plan on keeping it for a looooong time. It's 20 years old (2006 Tacoma), runs well, is in excellent shape (and they acknowledged at their shop), and no doubt is going to cost me a lot more than 70$ to hold onto it for the next 8 or 10 years, but based on this whole experience, I'll never spend another nickel at any Meineke anywhere for any repairs to this truck or any other vehicle I own. Enjoy your 70$ Am close to retirement and have a lot of spare time now that I'm doing the part time until the end of the year thing, so will be leaving reviews in as many places as I can find and filing a complaint with the BBB.

I've always had good service with these guys over the years…read more In May of 2020 I had a wheel bearing replaced. By Oct during a tire rotation at another shop it appeared the bearing had gone bad again. Took my car back to Pit Road, where they assured me they would replace bearing at no cost It was at time of pickup I was informed that the bearing DID NOT go bad, it was a bad hub. BUT.... I was told that because the hub SHOULD have been replaced at the time they did the bearing in May, they aren't charging me for replacing it now. And they also went ahead and replaced the bearing again, because he said it didn't make sense to pack an old bearing with a new hub. THAT'S great customer service!!!
