They sold me on the lifetime alignment for my Honda Odyssey years ago. Brought it in today and "can't do the alignment, there is some play in the inner tie rod. Will cost 450 to replace. I said no and took it to the Honda dealer. I asked them to check that and do the alignment if indicated. They did the alignment without replacing the outer and inner tie rod. Classic example of chain shops (Firestone, Pep Boys etc) often recommend "replace both inner and outer" as a package deal. NOT GOING BACK TO A GARAGE THAT SCAMS ME. read more

Would give 0 stars if possible. Came through on the way home from vacation and needed a tire patch. Normally any place would take you in since it takes 20 mins. They told us we'd have to wait 3 hours for a 20 min patch. Absolutely ridiculous. Went to the Meineke next door and they took us no problem & had us in and out. read more

Took the car in for tires and up with front brakes as well... Fine so far. Next day the parking brake won't release after being engaged briefly. After a couple of false starts it lets go and is good for a couple of days... Figure maybe it's self adjusted and things are good to go. Fourth day after service the traction control light and engine lights come on and rear brake starts making noise like it rubbing -all simultaneously. Luckily an within a few miles and head back to the shop. Guy at the counter is very courteous and helpful. They get it on the rack quickly and soon explain that the pin that for the show hold spring has broken, causing the problem. Quick fix. Great. After an hour and a half, of which I could personally see that tech actually worked about 15 minutes and did not disassemble the brake, they returned with a bill for now than $300. Aside from the fact that this very likely was due to their inspection days earlier, they charged labor for an entire brake job. A perfect example of why people hate auto mechanics. read more

They got me in same day, and didn't try to sell anything not needed for my car. Even did a free alignment check, and my alignment was fine. To give an idea about how awesome this place his, let me fill you in on my situation... Our car wouldn't start after filling up in gas in Winchester. There we were, stuck over 1.5 hours away from home, and it was a Sunday. We had no idea how we'd get our car fixed and back to where we were supposed to be. That's when AAA tells us to call this Firestone as they were listed as being open. My call is answered by a friendly worker who assures us they're open, will be able to check the problem (something involving starter, battery, or connections), and will be able to repair the problem. Once I get there, that same employee immediately remembers who I am and what my problem is. He calls around, finds someone who has the part (just in case), politely asks if the mechanics can finish their lunch, and then sets them to it. Within an hour and a half, my car has been checked, the part sent and received, and my vehicle is back running as normal. On a Sunday. With excellent customer service. I can't tell whether other people will have the same experience as me, but this place is a life saver. Even better, because the car was fixed in that time, we were able to finish our visit with our family and drive back home that evening as if nothing had happened. I have rarely had this excellent a service from a chain mechanic and I give kudos to the guys working at this Firestone. Had a great experience! I came here yesterday afternoon an hour earlier than my scheduled appointment to get my two tires replaced and to do an alignment. They took me in and had my car done 2.5 hours later! I mainly interacted with JJ while I was there and he was very friendly and also provided me with quotes over the phone ahead of time. Never had a good experience here. I have been lied to, upcharged for random repairs, and there are insane wait time. Last week I called about getting my tires aligned, they told me it would be 2-3 hours since I didn't have an appointment. I told them ok, it ended up taking them 7.5 hours! I went there a few days ago for the brakes on my Chevy Cruze. Jim Stutzman had told me that my rotors needed to be replaced and where too warped to be resurfaced. Firestone was able to resurface the very same rotors. The people there are very honest about what service needed to be done. When I came to them looking to have my rotors and brakes done they didn't rip me off when they found they could resurface my rotors and they didn't actually need to be replaced. read more

I called to see if they could do my alignment. They said yeah they could take it. So I get there and they fail to tell me that its a 3-4 hour wait. I'm irritated but I'm already there so I give them my information and leave my car. I come back 4 hours later. They told me they never did the alignment because I had my car on its spare. If they had called me they would know the full size tire was there. They claim they called me twice and I had no missed calls or a voicemail. It's common sense to call and leave a voicemail. I had full service the whole day and I don't believe they ever actually called me. I am never coming here again. read more

I got 4 brand new tires last November, since then I have to replace three of them due to them being defective, I've also had to replace the valve stem three times as they have never sat them right when replacing the tires. I got my newest tire literally an hour ago and now I'm sitting outside of shenandoah tire getting the valve stem replaced... Again, because yet again, Firestone is incapable of mounting a tire capable of retaining air. The guy who works at the front desk is extremely cheery and polite. I was pleasantly surprised. I got 4 new tires, then came back a couple weeks later for an oil change. While I was waiting I over heard them dealing with an irate customer, I thought they handled it well (as well as you can when the person is unreasonable). Why bother making an appt? I made an appt a week ago to get an alignment. Drove an hour and 10 minutes to get there for my 11 am appt. I showed up about 5 minutes late (I am honest!). I was told they would get my car right in. At 11:37 my car was still sitting in the parking lot. When I shared my unhappiness one of the workers told me " well food showed up so the techs stopped working to eat". The employee who went back to find out what was going on gave me the story that the assigned tech was finishing up a state inspection and would get to my vehicle next. As a guy who travels all week for work my weekend time to super valuable. I left and will not be back. Guess I'll spend the extra money and go to Toyota where they respect your time and actually make appointments. Customer service is so poor these days read more

Went there for a trans service, alignment and balance. After 90 minutes the came back and told me I needed a bulb and a brake service. They also tried selling me tires. Did not do any of what I asked for so I left. Never again. read more

Very poor service. Took my truck in to have a tire patched. Was informed that it could not be done because the tire was more than 5 years old. Perfectly good tire with plenty of tread left & no signs of weather cracking. The service manager never even looked at the tire. The girl at the front desk came out and looked at the tire briefly then after a few minutes comes back with a lame excuse about the age of the tire. They never took the tire off the rim or anything. I have now had two tires patched by other companies that Firestone has said they can not do. I will not give Firestone the time of day or more importantly my business ever again. read more

I ordered tires (they needed to be shipped to this location) and made an appointment a couple of days in advance. When I arrived my tires were on site and quickly installed. Yes, they did come up with some additional work they wanted to do but no hard sell and a simply "no thanks" ended it. Most impressive though - they didn't charge me for an alignment because my car was already in spec! A simple thing, but in today's world displays more honesty then most. read more

Right now I am at FIRESTONE, having my Goodyear tires put on my car, which I purchased on line from goodyear. I was told by the goodyear franchise owner that they have no incentive to install the tires for me because they made no money on the sale of the tires. He told me they had canceled the appointment I had made because they couldn't honor the appointment time because they close at 12:00 noon. I showed up for my appointment at 9:30 am. Even though I purchased the tires from goodyear and had scheduled the appointment thru them for 10:00 am to have them installed and that My home is a hour away from the store they refused to install my goodyear tires. JJ the manager from Firestone is doing more to assist me then the entire goodyear store directly across the street did. Without hesitation, JJ honored the install prices that goodyear quoted and put my car in the shop right away to install my tires. My mistake was purchasing tires from goodyear in the first place. I couldn't get anyone to cancel my order. Everything about Firestone was professional, and the customer service was great! Can't say the same about the store across the street. read more

Took advantage of the $99 brake special they were running in July, which includes ceramic pads. I called around to a few places before Firestone to get pricing for replacing front brake pads and turning rotors. The estimates ranged from $150 to $300. My car was ready before the time promised. I picked my car up without having to go through a laundry list of recommended repairs that one would expect when getting their car serviced. Took my car for state inspection except for 1 small problem was going to cost a arm and legs i need my arms and legs

I purchased the Lifetime Alignment for my Subaru. Last summer I took a trip to OBX after having my car aligned here. The lug nuts were not properly torqued and the wheel subsequently felt like I picked up a rock at first and the following day after returning from the beach felt as if the wheel would fall off. I took it back to the shop to have it looked over for any damage, and they apologized assuring me this would be looked into and dealt with. I should have not returned to the location after such an oversight into my safety, but I had to have another alignment recently so I returned hopeful that they would get it right this time. There was around a week or more time from the time it was serviced by them and when I sold my Subaru. The new owner called asking me about the front left wheel making a clunk. I had to apologize for this as I had gone back after picking up the vehicle and testing a few of the lug nuts on each wheel myself in their parking lot. I explained the workmanship was poor at this location and to jack up the car and tighten the bolts down on all 4 wheels to be safe. The manager conveyed words of concern for this happening twice, but I wouldn't take a vehicle to this shop after this experience. read more
