I stopped by for a quick, free air check and had them examine my tire tread wear right before heading out on some major road-trip excursions. The entire process was incredibly efficient. The technician was fast and polite and made sure all four tires were perfectly inflated and performing exactly as they should for highway driving. The free air check is incredibly easy to navigate. You simply drive onto the property, follow the clear directional signage to the designated area, and wait. Someone will come out to assist you shortly. You do not even need to get out of your vehicle to get your air topped off. At my last tire rotation, I am glad to note that this rotation went better than my prior experience. The service bay crew was highly organized, working with the exact type of speed and precision that originally made me a loyal customer. Just like my earliest visits to this shop, I was in and out of the service bay in no time. I arrived at Discount Tire in Wake Forest with a tire that was actively leaking air and was nearly flat. Yelp showed the store as being open until 6:00 PM, but when I arrived, I was told they actually closed at 5:00 PM. No big deal--hours can change, and I completely understand that. What disappointed me was what happened next. I explained to the person at the front desk that my tire was leaking badly and that I had just added air so I could safely drive there without damaging the tire on my 2025 BMW X5 M Competition. I wasn't coming in for routine maintenance or something that could easily wait--I was asking for help with a tire that was losing air and needed to be inspected and, if possible, plugged or repaired. The response was essentially that I should go online and schedule an appointment for the following week. I understand arriving near closing time isn't ideal, and I certainly don't expect employees to stay indefinitely after business hours. But when someone walks into a tire shop with a nearly flat tire and explains that they had to add air just to safely get there, I would hope there would at least be some effort to help assess the situation, offer a safe alternative, or provide some direction beyond scheduling an appointment for the following week. Unfortunately, the experience became even more frustrating after I left. Shortly after driving away, I discovered another nail/screw in my front tire, which I apparently picked up while in or around the parking lot. I obviously cannot say how or exactly where it happened, so perhaps that part was simply incredibly bad luck. At that point, though, I was honestly speechless. I arrived asking a tire company for help because I had a nearly flat tire, left without assistance, and then found myself dealing with another tire issue. I'm not posting this because I expect every problem to be solved immediately. I'm posting it because customer service is often defined by how a business responds when someone genuinely needs help. Even if the shop couldn't perform the repair that evening, a little concern, guidance, or effort to help a customer safely get back on the road would have made a tremendous difference. Maybe the second nail was simply bad luck. But the customer-service experience is something Discount Tire can control, and unfortunately, this particular experience left me very disappointed.

My right passenger tire had a bad valve stem that actually rotted and the driver side front wheel actually had the valve stem that came apart and should I have been driving at 65 miles an hour I certainly would've been rolled over several times. I went into just tires on Labor Day at 12510 Capitol Blvd. and met with a gentleman by the name of Michael Hans. He's the assistant store manager. I brought my issue to him and he came back. Said we'll have it fixed right away of what he did with a matter of 10 minutes. Justin the service advisor also actually brought me out the tire and said that we're all fixed. The service requested was excellent. The quality was excellent, and the value was fantastic. Just because of these two individuals I no longer will be going to a wholesale club to get tires I'm gonna go to just tires. I would highly recommend going and talking directly with Michael Hans. This is the place to go, they can get most brands and they don't have all of the ridiculous overhead or franchise fees and all of the other things that make the price of your tires go up and up. As anyone who has been to a Sam's Club knows, the safety straps for children in the cart catch on the other carts when they are inserted into each other. This is well known, so why doesn't Sam's Club do something to fix it? Then on customer service, if you buy something that needs to be retrieved from the electronics cage, there is never an employee there to retrieve it. There's no button or way to call an employee so you have to wait around for minutes until you can get attention of an employee who always acts annoyed. In contrast, Costco has a friendly staff member waiting at their electronics room to retrieve your purchased item. Next pet peeve is one against customers. Customers leave the shopping carts in the corrals every which way resulting in shopping carts sticking out into the drive lanes. It only takes three seconds to insert the shopping cart into an existing line of carts...if we all would just do that. Lastly, the traffic and how you have to drive into and out of this Sam's Club absolutely needs to be reworked. And it feels like Sam's doesn't care about these issues. If Costco were more convenient, Sam's would never again see me.

I walked in and no one greeted me for a few minutes even though there were 3 advisors available. Finally, one greeted me and I gave him my key fob and walked back to work. Less than 30 minutes later, my car was ready. Fishy. I'll preface by saying I work in the automotive industry so this was a little too fast for a wheel alignment, especially given how full the shop was when I left. Not only was it weirdly fast, but they charged me $130 for less than 30 minutes of work! Absolutely insane with their price-gouging. Yeah I won't be back here.
