I have been a long time Autozone customer. I purchased an expensive Duralast Gold battery thinking…read moreit would last. The first battery completely died about a year after I bought it. The one that it was swapped out with ended up having an internal short, and draining itself outside of the car quickly. I was advised that since my warranty from the first garbage battery was now up by two months, I would need to buy a brand new one. I will no longer be going to this, or any Autozone for any products.

I had already tested my car battery with a multimeter so I knew it was a bad battery. So, I took it…read moreto AutoZone, thinking that this was the place my wife had originally purchased it from. Since they didn't have a car battery purchase on record, Kyle offered to test it for me. He simply connected it to his battery tester and it came back with a "Bad Battery," error message. He could have simply said, we can sell you one for around $100 bucks and he would have made a quick sale. Instead he said, "This is an Advanced Auto Parts car battery and it may be under warranty. See the date of 04/2016 on the sticker?" I would suggest you checking with them 1st to see if it still under warranty. If not, feel free to come back to us if you would like." That type of honesty is rare in a world where businesses are fighting for every penny of profit and pushing their employees to lie in order to make a quick buck. Since, in the past, I've gone over with my wife to Advanced Auto Parts, I know the level of customer service they provide. It's excellent! The older black gentlemen knows us by name and it's a pleasure to go in there and be treated like an individual that matters. I just feel horrible that I don't remember his name! I hope he is as forgiving as he is nice! Anyhow, if it weren't for this level of honesty, I would have purchased a brand new battery when the bad battery was still under warranty. On the other hand, the lady at Advanced Auto Parts wanted to sell me a new alternator because she "felt," it was the alternator and not the battery. When I told her that the alternator was fine and that it was the battery, she wasn't pleased. So she took her fancy brand new system tester and within a minute said, "It's not the battery! I still feel is the alternator!" When I confronted her with the information that Kyle had provided me, she said, "They told you that the battery was bad because they wanted to sell you a new battery!" So I said, "Actually, it was Kyle from Autozone who suggested for me to come here to check if the battery was under warranty. He could have simply said, "Yeap it's both, the battery and the alternator and I would have believed him. Now, I come to you and you are suggesting that they wanted to scam me when you are telling me is not the battery, but the alternator?" At this point, she stopped saying anything and ended up replacing the car battery. The battery still had 5 more months of warranty." Needless to say, Kyle's honesty has made me an Autozone loyal customer for life! I will avoid Advanced Auto Parts At all costs! Thank you!

They're pretty good for used parts and repairs. We've been using them for what seems like forever;…read morethe Clayton boys aren't exactly boys anymore. lol Dad even shopped here often enough to become familiar with them. They're definitely one of my go-to spots when I'm searching for parts. Whenever they don't have what I'm looking for, they've always been pretty good with pointers; which is on a level of customer service you don't see with other salvage yards. I usually just stop in to say hi when I'm looking for whatever or see if they've got what I need by searching them online. I've bought so many parts from them over the years I can't remember but this last time in was a convertible top for an 03 Mustang GT. Once pulled a set of leather seats for a 74 Mark IV; that was a fun project! They've done some good work for me too. Solved a tricky A/C bug I was having with old Mercedes 190E years ago. Swapped out some Town Car airbags for coil springs. Good stuff. Always honest and fair which is something you don't always see in this business.

Had to call back a few hours later to get a few ducks in a row on my end. When I called back Natalie was gone and some rude guy with a huge chip on his shoulder, would not let me speak or even ask a question. And when I kept waiting for him to finish speaking to tell him I had a couple questions that would help me to answer his, he literally spoke over me LOUDER TO SAY " Am I coming at 4 o'clock are you gonna answer the question or not?" I'm in customer service and have been 15 years. I don't even know how they have this person representing or answering anything. They should stick with professionals like Natalie answering calls and keep this very upset with life human being off the phones. So sorry to say that I can't even say how the actual business went. Cause they couldn't manage a simple phone conversation. Good luck if your in that area though. Would love to think however based off a recommendation that not all interactions there are like this, also based off the interaction I had earlier with Natalie. But no one should be spoken to like that from a business. And would love to provide a name of this perturbed individual but of course, couldn't get a word out to ask a name. And he didn't say his when answering like the other people did. But whoever's answering phones at 3pm Thursdays be switched lol
