Excellent experience. I had ordered tires from Walmart.com and had it delivered at the osgood store at Fremont. The staff was very friendly and the tire replacement was done in time. I had the TPMS light showing up and I had asked to replace all 4. The technicians debugged the issue and let me know that a replacement is not required, they fixed the TPMS on the car and reset the error code. Overall great experience and I highly recommend this location for anyone needing vehicle service or tire replacements. read more

Dear Walmart on Osgood, I'm writing to both apologize as well as share my experience. I first off want to say, I'm really sorry for getting frustrated while checking out for my oil change. There was miscommunication and my emotions got the best of me. The person who gave me to invoice for my car from the beginning was really kind, and I didn't treat him with the respect he deserved by the time I had left. When checking out, another guy who I don't know his name tolls me I chose the wrong oil for my car and that I should have chosen synthetic. I had told the original person who helped me I wanted to regular oil for my car, a Toyota Yaris. So he did that. But because of this other guy who was around the counter when I checked out, he seemed like was just trying to talk down to me and blame me for "choosing the wrong oil" and accusing me of making a poor choice. This led me to ask if the wrong oil was put in my car. The original guy who helped me (again so nice) said that it was fine, but it prompted me to be concerned about whether my oil in my car was correct or if I just put in the wrong oil. Jedi the manager came over to talk, he seemed calm and nice. But because I was already anxious and concerned if I put in the correct oil or not, I came off unkind. All that to say, I'm sorry Walmart workers and auto care. Overall I had a good experience , the only reason I'm giving a 4 star is because that random auto guy that works there that told me as if I should be ashamed that I chose the wrong oil, and escalated a situation that was necessary. Horrible The phone system is terrible when calling it goes directly to pharmacy and I am pressing the correct button for the tire dept. then when pressing 0 for operator it takes you back to the pharmacy. I wouldn't recommend going here. They're not opened during the hours of operations that are listed. We were a few minutes late for our appointment and they were already done cleaning/putting stuff away and turned us away. It was suppose to be opened 2 hours more but for some reason they closed. The bad reviews on here are misleading. Other than the challenge of getting ahold of the office, but that is a typical problem for any Walmart, once I arrived, I received nothing but the kindest service. This was true from the older lady who worked the front desk, and the gentleman who worked on the car. the service they provided was relatively quick, and at a price point that beat everyone else out in the area by about 25%. So if you can handle the challenges of shopping at Walmart, this would be the place to have your oil changed or tires rotated. As I did. read more

Sept 14, 2022 10:49am. There are 2 doors in the front of the auto center open. The entry drive way is completely blocked with flagged rope and cones. No one is in the inside. No one is answering their listed phone. I literally came here from getting my SUV jumped to purchase and have a new battery installed. I am now currently waiting for Roadside Assistance to jump me again so I can go to a more reliable battery location. I would come here for years 2-3 times a month as I bring all my drivers cars here for oil changes. There's this new guy working there, older Asian guy I didn't catch his name, doesn't know how to talk to customers. Says you must have an appointment and that walk-ins aren't accepted- He is a lying coward, says that that's been the case since September. But that's a lie, I've brought a car this month for an oil change with no appointment. And I've came here 2x a month in the last year for my driver's cars, all without an appointment. If you're busy and have too many cars ahead me and can't do an oil change for my car, just say so like usual. Unfortunately only people that had a bad experience take the time to leave reviews. My experience was the opposite of these reviews. I had to get a car battery replaced. After trying for 2 days at the Milpitas Walmart, I was about to give up and go to an expensive place when I decided to try this Walmart in Fremont. This Walmart is relatively new and the auto area is clean and well organized. I lucked out by meeting the Service Manager who name is Jedi. He was amazing, honestly like a real Jedi, he worked his magic and in 15 minutes he had replaced my car battery. He need not have done this - he could have given me the run around like at the other Walmart and made me wait for hours. But he was kind enough to listen to me, recommend a battery and politely and patiently replace the battery. I highly recommend this Walmart and the service manager, Jedi. read more

Honestly the actual service to my car was not bad. Got 4 replaced there and the employees who worked on the car were pretty nice. The reason for the 1 star review is the terrible customer service by the old lady at the desk. Her name was Linda. Extremely rude right off the bat for no reason. Her tone of voice felt really disrespectful. I understand you may not like your job but that doesn't give you a reason to lash out at customers and give them an attitude. I also noticed she was pretty rude to the mechanics as well, ordering them to do this do that in a very dictator-like fashion. When ringing me up, she asked if I wanted to insure my tires for $10 each. I kindly said no I don't need it. She immediately scoffed at me and laughed saying, "are you kidding me?!" in a way that made me doubt my decision. But I held my ground and said that I'm ok without insuring the tires (these were off road tires for my vehicle). She replied with "ok that's fine, bc we REALLY don't want to have to insure those tires anyways." Like what?!! I think she was referring to if I would be off roading I'd have a high chance of destroying the tires so it would be a win for them. But regardless, I don't think that's how you talk to a customer? That's just one small instance of how she talked with me but by the end i felt extremely disrespected. Bc of her going to the Walmart auto center left a bad taste in my mouth. Well, the hours online says 7am -7pm Monday thru Sunday and when we get here there's a sign saying 8am-6pm "appointments only" so we waited outside hoping to book an appointment and yet no one answers the phone, their service doors aren't open and it's past 8am. It's an inconvenience for people like us think their open according to online posts and coming here and their still not open. Fix your online post! Inform your customers! Well if you can say one thing, based on these reviews, it's that they are consistent...ly bad! My son was out of town and asked me to get the slow leaking tire on his vehicle fixed. I took a chance going there because it was already 5:30pm and most places were already closed or getting ready to close. I arrived at the Walmart and drove to the tire center at the side of the building. There was no signage indicating where to park the car, so I pulled up at the entrance of their lube bay and got out of my car. The tech in the shop tells me they can't change the oil because they don't have a filter for the car (VW GTI.) I tell him that I also needed to get the tire repaired and he points in the general direction of the tire and wheel service bays and says "park over there and go inside to get a work order." I move the car and get out a second time. Now a second tech tells me I can't park in front of the service bay and I need to move my car to the parking lot. I'm already bothered by this as there were ZERO cars either in the service areas or in the parking lot waiting for service. I tell the tech there is no way to know that because of the lack of signage anywhere. But I get in the car and move it again to the empty parking lot. As I'm walking toward the building, I hear the two technicians talking about how I had parked my car in "the wrong spot" and my comments about the lack of signs. I walk past them and into their customer service area just inside the building. The service counter is empty. Two employees -- one in street clothes, the other in the service tech uniform -- are off to the side chatting next to some boxes. I'm the only customer in the section, but their conversation continued without any acknowledgment of my existence. So I pulled out my phone and did a search for another tire shop that was open past 6pm. I glanced over again and still nothing from either of the two. I head towards the door to make my way out, but the door was locked. I tried a couple of times more and finally here someone in the back say "he has to unlock from here." No other comment was made. No "Welcome...how can I help you?..." So I left Low prices mean nothing if you're customer service is non-existent. Don't waste your time or money here. I'd be willing to bet that the lack of effort that they put into their customer service is a key indicator of the quality of their work. read more

Terrible service! The guy working the register was a real jerk. I brought my own tires in to replace my old ones- Walmart allows that for an additional $10 fee per tire! As soon as I walked in and said I need to replace my four tires the guy working the register/computer was eager to sell me tires. When I told him I have my own tires he flipped a switch. Immediately told me its going to be $48 per tire and that I should just go somewhere else. I asked how it comes out to $48 per tire when the sign says $18. He replied with because of the walk-in tire fee. I said ok, its $10 for that, how did you come up with $48? He became even more rude and began walking away. I kept explaining that the sign breaks it down to a total of $28 per tire (including walk-in fee) and that I am okay with that. He then said it would be $38 per tire and I said it still doesn't add up. Heck, I then even told him whatever and that $38 is fine, just start the process. He then said he already has to install four other tires for someone else and walked away. The shop was not busy at all. Seriously, this guy was rude. Wish I could give zero stars. Absolutely terrible. This is the 3rd day in a row I've been here trying to get tires put on my car with no luck. I purchased the tires online and got a time window to come in. I understand that often these time windows aren't accurate and people actually working there don't always get informed when appointments are made so I made it a point to call in and ask them if they could get me on and get my tires changed before I picked my girlfriend up for work at 3. The man on the phone said "sure, that shouldn't be a problem, for four tires it takes about an hour and half!" Great, I've worked at a tire shop and that's on the longer side, but they could be training someone new so whatever. I left my house in Oakland and got to the auto care center in Fremont 10 minutes early in case they could get me in earlier by chance. With gas prices what they are right now taking that sort of drive is more than inconvenient, it's expensive. When I arrived I presented the guy with my paperwork and he told me "well there's 4 cars in front of you, I can probably have your car done by 5:30" I told him I had called in and specifically asked if they could get me in and get it done before 3 and that the only reason I came that day was that I was assured that wouldn't be a problem. He smirked at me and said "well I'm not sure who told you that, but they didn't know what they were talking about, sorry, can't help you." That would have been unprofessional enough by itself, but the kicker was that this guy had a unique voice, ya know, like the one on the phone. I said something to the effect of "well then apparently you don't know what you're talking about because you are the person I spoke with" he laughed and walked away. I left and drove back to Oakland. The second try I came in early, I was told on arrival that they were too busy with oil changes to get my car in "for at least 2 hours" and was told "come back tomorrow at 7am, that's when we open, we'll make sure you're the first person in. I showed up today, 7am on the dot and waited by the door. Finally a woman answered and asked me if I was there for an oil change. "Nope, I'm here to get my tires changed. I was told to come back in today to get it done" I said. "Oh, we'll you'll have to wait till the afternoon, our morning tire guy decided to take the day off work." Your tire GUY?! HIRE SOME MORE STAFF. Or does no one want to work for you because you can't pay your employees a living wage while the Walton's live like royalty? The worst part? They make you pay in advance. That means I'm out $400 and can't just go elsewhere for tires because my money is wrapped up with them and a refund can take "5-7 business days." I am absolutely LIVID. I fell into their Black Friday deals for tires. Ordered four tires. Informed me order ready to be picked up, actually only two tires ready. Came and got stuck at the store for four hours. Technician told me the tire valve core got stuck and they couldn't remove ... and the new tires could be leaking and might get a flat tire on the road. First of all, their hours clearly state 7am-7pm. HOWEVER, what they don't tell you is that you're only going to get service when their TECHNICIAN is in, and the technician leaves at 6pm. So their hours are falsely advertised, and their correct hours is 7am-6pm. Everything is first come, first serve -- they don't take appointments and they don't prioritize you even when you order in advance. Picking up your items that you order in advance is difficult too because they make you wait and you don't get priority. They are RUDE-- will not even try to talk to you, just send you away because they don't want to talk to you. Don't bother coming in unless you can be there right at opening, 7am. Came in today to have 4 new tires installed. I bought the tires online and wanted them to install. They got it done but I should have known going in that the mundane & infamous Walmart customer service came with the package. This tire & lube center is slow in all aspects. Everyone from the service writer to the tire techs are slow & ineffecient. What that means is that you'll be waiting a while to be logged in for service and even longer for the work to get done. Their prices are cheaper that other popular tire stores, but your time has to be worth something as well. Will not be coming back here in the future. read more

This place is a joke if you want to come here and waste 3 hours or 4 hours out of your day this is the place to be I got here at 2 p.m. manager said come back at 3 I show up at 3 and apparently everybody's at lunch. After everybody comes back from lunch the lady tells me anytime now so I go look in the video game section to waste some time and they still have not started on my car they say the tires are locked up in the trailer and they don't have the keys they need to have a manager open it finally at 5pm I told the guy forget it I've been here 3 hours already it's not worth it I think they are still looking for the mysterious trailer keys if I could give this plate zero Stars I would. horrible service. My battery had problem to start the car. I bought my car and requested to change battery there. However, the technician said that it was the problem of my starter and not the battery. And they refused to change the battery for me. I told them the car could start with a jump, and it should not relate to the starter. They still not want to do it and told me to bring my car to the auto repair instead. I took it to a repair shop and they confirmed that it was only the battery problem. After I changed the battery there, and I have no more ignition start problem. read more

Had a nail in my tire, went there, was told that their tire person will not be there today. We bought the Hazard Tire Insurance ($10) when we had our tires installed there. Not sure why Walmart has this service if it completely useless. I'll try to jump straight to the point - just as we were about to hand in our car to get 4 new tires here, the whole store's power went out & we got kicked out (the guy was nice about it though, can't remember his name). Came back a few days later, today, & waited for about 3 hours to get the job done. Apparently we were the last car because the whole shop was closed when a different guy told us our car was done, so after we paid everyone there left right away. Went to our car they parked right outside & it was completely dead. They locked the door so we called the auto department no less than 60 seconds after we had walked out & some lady who doesn't work at that department answered & very confusingly said the auto department is closed & no one could help us. Sat in the car for another hour to wait for a friend jump the car. We weren't expecting the best service, but they could've at least made sure they didn't kill the battery while working on it & leaving us with it. read more
