They checked it out and told me it didn't pierce through, so I was good to go. Next morning, tire pressure light turns back on. I have usually gone to a business that is closer and more convenient for flat repair, one that is more "redneck", but has given me good service. However this last time apparently the tire air pressure sensor was damaged, causing an alert on the control panel even though the pressure was fine. I decided I needed to take our Hyundai to a place that is more sophisticated and "knows how to treat a lady"... So I took it to Discount Tire as a "walk in". There were several people ahead of me, but I was greeted upon entry and waited on within 10 minutes. The attendant checked out all four tires externally with a gadget that reads the sensors and confirmed the one sensor was not giving a signal. I was quoted a total price of $78 to replace the sensor. I asked how long it might take, and he estimated 70 minutes. I paid the amount and took a seat in the lobby. My vehicle was ready within 40 minutes. All works now as it is supposed to. I found the attendants helpful, friendly and efficient. I don't know how much it would have cost at other places, but I feel it was a reasonable price. The lobby was clean and not over-crowded (3 PM on a weekday). You do have the option of making an appointment, but even as a walk in, I did not wait long. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend this Discount Tires, and will be a repeat customer when necessary.

The clerk responded with "it's going to take a long time." Ok. And? I said, well, I have to get my kid from daycare. Am I supposed to just get her car seat and call someone to pick me up? He responded by telling me that would be best because it would take 45 minutes to an hour for him to type in all of the information and would be a waste of time if we were not approved. (They were open for another hour). So now I'm standing in the repair shop with the clerk telling me that he's pretty much refusing to do any decent customer service and I'm SOL. I asked again and was told again that it was just going to take too long. Well, fantastic. I'm glad you just don't feel like doing your job today! This an advertised feature they offer and were outright unwilling to assist a customer. I finally gave up when he asked out loud, in front of other customers, "well, how's your credit?" Not ok and not for you to decide. Also, the sign and brochure for this service clearly state that no credit is needed and I had my paycheck stubs on hand to prove my income (as stated in the brochure). I'm not sure what happened to basic human decency and customer service, but you obviously won't find it here. We have been here several times for convenience of location, but will not be returning.

Stuff like balancing, rotation, flat repair, inspection, air fill up. All that is free here and at every location. Free is the ultimate value nowadays. Their tires are always cheap and they will actually price match anyone. Make sure you buy the tire certificate if you are getting new tires. It's worth it. Believe me. Especially with all the construction around. The side walls can easily be punctured and ruin even a new tire. I use the app to book my appointments and usually get taken care of within the hour. They are always super busy, so appointments matter or you will wait at least a couple of hours. Great location for your tire needs.
