So there is no one in the pit below, or up top, doing anything to the car, after rotting outside. There is a real lack of competition in this niche, no Valvolines or Jiffy Lubes to keep them responsive or reasonably priced. I drove from there to buy the components to do it myself, I easily would have been done and sipping a lemonade in the time these folks spent giving me the razzle dazzle.

I returned for the change today, the service is nothing less than excellent. James and Dorian did a great job. I had never seen my cabin air filter, it needed to be changed and was. They checked the quality of the coolant and it was much diluted, since I'll be traveling in the next few days definitely needed that changed. The service value was well worth the price.. I got an oil change Jan 30, went on a trip in February, came back to find a leak under my car. Took it to Hampton's March 17 for check up. They found the oil filter hadn't been put on properly and I had NO OIL. Manager at 'Take 5' said there was nothing they could do & gave me 50% off coupon after I said I would NOT BE BACK! 'Take 5' charged $106 and also said they checked all my fluids but Hampton's said they hadn't. Hampton's charged $79 total.

This being said: I have never written a negative review for an inconvenience, fliippant encounter, or somebody just having a bad day. However, my experience with this team has been nothing but deceptive, dishonest, and downright disgusting. That being said, this is a local business and one negative review ought not to deter anybody from visiting an established mechanic with overwhelmingly positive feedback but this is just my experience: 1) Only upon arrival was I told "Oh, did I tell you about our diagnostic fee? Its $120 an hour. Sometimes $60. Perfect, talented people deserve to be compensated-No problem. 2) Phone call next day: We looked at your jeep. You need front and rear upper/lower control arms. Also, you need a new exhaust manifold or we can weld it but its the same price. Also, you have an oil pan leak and you need an oil pump but the one you have now is okay: $2400. -My car doesn't have an oil pan leak, my control arms are fine (Bushings are old and need replaced) and mind you I took my car in for a slight dip in oil pressure at idle. I requested the team to email me repairs and once I look at my budget I'll get back but I will assuredly work with them. No email. Finally, 4 hours later I receive a call from the mechanic explaining that my car didn't start, I owe them $397 and they've already fixed my car. My car has brand new battery terminals, new alternator, new battery, and a new starter. Pardoning the dip in oil pressure and some rust the jeep is in immaculate shape, runs like a TOP and has never hesitated for a moment to start. The mechanic even lied to me showing me the old distributor pick up which was cocindentally brand new and fresh out of the box without a speck of dust on it. Ultimately I was charged for: Diagnostic $156 Distributor pick up: $104.25 ($50 Part) Shop Supplies: $5.33 Tax: $18.59 I paid to simply get my car off this property as quickly as humanly possible. Worst experience I've ever had with a mechanic, worst experience I've ever had with an office staff, and the most unprofessional people who have ever stolen from me I've had the unfortunate ocurrence having to deal with. Todd never reached out to me, and scarcely an apology made. But this is only my experience and my first poor reviewed company. ...and my jeep still has a slight dip in oil pressure at idle (very common with the in6) of which the technician Arthur said is "totally normal" (it is not). The worst thing about all of this is I'm a member of the rotary, local church community and local business owner and while I had never heard anything negative about inline I now see why I hadnt heard anything positive.
