They fixed it with a specialty extra long carbide drill bit and helicoiled the thread. Charged $150 ish. The manifold was worth $220 ish. But they were able to do it in a day so I guess I saved buying a new one, and shipping. The book time and labor cost was fair. The only way to get this out properly was going to be pricey, I don't really fault them for it. If the intake wasn't just duracoated I probably would have sold it and bought another.

Beat the wait and appointment scheduling you'd need for dealerships when it comes to newer vehicles may come back soon anyways as they actually install lift kits which some dealerships don't do. I'm still pissed Unfortunately I couldn't give this business a negative 10 Google nor Yelp will allow. We chose this business to diagnose and potentially fix the unknown problem (s) with our vehicle as we had not driven it for a while and were deciding if we wanted to get it back on the road or purchase a vehicle instead. So we gave our 2011 Buick Regal to these guys for 12 business days. Over the course of these 12 business days they cleaned the car out one day as it had been sitting at the house for awhile and needed to be safe for them to work on, no problem. They sent us a text from the diagnosis that read all we needed were spark plugs, a brand new battery and could use back and front brakes $900 for front and $900 for back so since these are issues their diagnosis machine is pointing out needs to be taken care of my thought, well lets get it done. Well we go pick up the car 5/12/26, 13 business days later and $3200 much much lighter in the wallet, feeling thankful we don't need to purchase another car. We immediately go put some gas in the car, pick up license tabs (as it had set for awhile not running) Not gone from the Complete Auto Repair shop 30 minutes and the car starts spewing black smoke. We took it right back to them, dropped off the car because they had closed for the day. My husband notified them the next day and told them what we experienced the day before. Complete Auto text us back on 5/13/2026 and said basically we need, hold your teeth, an ENGINE! These people had our car for nearly 3 weeks including weekends to diagnose the vehicle and magically after the invoice has been paid, we need an engine. Basically If they had diagnosed correctly OR AT ALL we wouldn't be out of $3200 because we certainly wouldn't put $2000 brakes on a car that needs an ENGINE. We may as well buy a new car. Duh!!! Beware of these swindlers. I don't usually write reviews but we were really swindled out of our money. I won't even tell you all what they advised us to do with the vehicle after this whole fiasco. They did offer a $400 credit a drop in the bucket. An engine costs up to $5k. Don't trust their diagnosis Does anyone have integrity anymore?
