They estimated it would cost nearly $3,000 to change my struts when other shops were willing to do it for less than half that. When I asked if they could install new lenses on my headlights, which I had brought with me, they said it would cost at least $600 to install the lenses because they would have to remove the bumper. But I found another local shop that did it for less than $100. Needless to say, I won't be back for those prices. read more

If i could put zero start i would for sure! I brought my car in because every time I turned it off I could smell gas I spent $3000 for these people to ruin my car worse than it was when i brought it in.They tried charging me $100 more than the dealership per fuel injector. They did some pressure test and told me my car had bent valves and i needed a new engine. When I got my car back from them Weeks Later I had no water in my car at all it was flashing on my Dash I had a tire pressure sensor they broke flashing on my Dash and my car running way worse than when I took it there so I brought it back on a trailer because I was worried about it not making it there if I drove it and they told me of course it runs bad you need a new engine. I argued the fact that if what they are telling me was truce my car then needed a new engine when i brought after paying $3,000 in there. it should be running at least as good as when I took it there then put water in it and told me I was good I came back because I had a horrible leak when my car didn't have any leaks prior to bringing it in. And they told me whatever I did to it after I left is why it's leaking. I said I'm not a rocket scientist but you did a pressure test and when you apply pressure in one hole it's got to come out somewhere and now you blew my seals somewhere or it wouldn't be leaking all the water out as soon as I put it in. Also charge me for a new intake manifold but put my old one back on, when putting the bolts in they apparently didnt realize they where just dropping the bolts into an oversized hole. When i brought it the to their attention they told me I didn't know what I was talking about I must be looking at the wrong bolts so the tech came and showed me which Boats were replaced and as I flicked the ball and it came flying out of the engine he realized he was wrong but still charged me for a new antique manifold that I didn't get they said then that I paid $57 for a gasket not a new intake manifold which is what was listed on the ​recipe Final result they tried to trick me into signing papers that said i caused the leak and the bolts to be stripped when i in fact did not touch anything beside the coolant resorvor. And all 3 times i brought it back they sucked I want to drive my car through their building i feel like they robbed me read more

We came here because of the great reviews, but unfortunately did not have the experienced we hoped for. I also wanted to support the local auto shop, but should have just donated money instead. We dropped off the car overnight and they were at their busiest so they could not get to it until a week later. That is fine, we knew that might be the case. Wasn't sure exactly what the problem was, hence we opted for a diagnosis, of course, but didn't even get that. They could not replicate the error, but admitted seeing several error codes for our mini. Yet, they still said they do not know what was wrong. At the best, they added a quart of oil and charged for it of course, along with the $280 something diagnostic fee for wasting our time. Great shop, great personal attention by Jason and location close enough to my house to make it convenient, keeps me coming back. Reliably good work and he also fully explains what is needed and why. It is more expensive than other places and I would prefer having the same mechanic work on my car, especially when I have made an appt ahead of time. I think the mechanic will take more care and get to know my car, rather than the mechanic getting assigned random cars. But this shop has stuck with me thru some complicated problems with my ex-vehicle, so I feel very loyal. read more

Quoted me $6,000 for my transmission in my Expedition. Wouldn't look at it without a $300 diagnostic fee. Got it done at Town and Country for $2,900, with no diagnostic fee. Don't waste your time. In response to Jason. I appreciate whomever letting me keep the truck there because I planned on fixing it there. But regardless of your diagnostic fee policy, $300 is what I was told by one of your guys. $280 is also pretty close to $300..... The 1 star is for quoting me more than double the price of what the other shop did. While on the phone with whoever passed me the info, he gave off the attitude that he wanted nothing to do with it. read more

Great people to deal with and very fair with their pricing. I happened to buy some wheels from them and had to come from some distance to pick them up. Jason at the shop remembered later that I needed different lug nuts than my stock OEM ones, and he shipped out a set of correct lug nuts to me at no additional charge. He could have easily let me just find out on my own later that I needed different lug nuts for my wheels, but to contact me back and send them out to me for free tells me they're an honest shop and focused on customer service. This is a class-act outfit. In my 16-year experience with them, they have always been educational, kind, and more than fair. Back in 2002, I had them rebuild the carbeurator on a '65 Catalina with a big-block 400 out of a 76 firebird that had been sitting for some time. At the stoplight, up the road, the car died and, at no cost, Jason sent one of his guys to tow my car back to the shop at no charge. Turned out the fuel pump had died, so they replaced the pump for the price of the part! Since then, they are the only outfit in town that I will take my vehicles. They have never tacked on unnecessary services and have gone the extra mile to show me the defective parts and explain the failure points when something has needed replacement. Our 2012 minivan's doors malfunctioned and one actually got stuck open (this was the final result to a longer story I wrote at the end of this review). I called around to the highest rated auto repair shops on Yelp, and these were the first guys to say they actually fix sliding doors (two other places I called referred me to the dealership). I originally spoke with Jason (I think) who was very friendly and knowledgeable. He assured me that while this was a very common problem with minivans, they hadn't yet come across one they couldn't fix. I did have to make an appointment (it is a more complicated problem), but it was just for a day later. Because of my schedule they let us drop the van off the night before. The next day they called me around noon to update me on the situation. We were anxious because I just knew this was going to cost us at least a grand. Speaking with Phillip, he explained what had happened with the door (and while I do not speak car, he was able to explain it so I actually understood), and told me he could order the part which would come two days later (this was over the weekend), and quoted me around $500. I usually don't write reviews with actual numbers, but every repair can be unique, so if you go in with a problem with your sliding door(s), don't expect the same amount. Anyway, this was a huge relief. We realized the van probably needed a tune-up so I asked if he could tack that on (we were feelin' cocky after getting the good news), and he said they actually did a full check and said almost everything looked good, except some corrosion on the battery terminal or something (okay this I do not understand, sorry), and uhm...just a couple of other things that he said we should probably do right now, but he wasn't pushy about it. I asked if there was anything else and he mentioned that the 60k was coming up, but it wasn't something we "needed" to worry about right now, but did say that when we did get it checked there would probably be a bit of a list at that time. Again, he did not push us on anything. We decided to fix the corroded stuff and uh..the transmission fluid I think; he gave us a quote which my husband said was reasonable and I also asked him if he thought we should replace the battery what with the corrosion, he said the battery actually looked fine -- he TOTALLY could have been like, "Oh yeah you need that replaced because rusty flux capacitor walla walla bing bang." But he was super honest with my ignorant ass! I got a call from him the day the van was supposed to be finished but unfortunately Big Bertha needed a little more time in the shop but she'd be all set the next day. Totally understandable. Since I'm me, totally scatter-brained, I mentioned something I forgot when I first spoke to him. We accidentally left the van on when we were on the ferry so the battery died. When the ferry docked we couldn't get the doors to open more than a few inches and with the van dead the ferry people had to give us a jump and we had to manually force the doors open and closed (yes I know this isn't good for the doors, but we had a 2 month old and a 2 year old and ain't driving around in 30 degree weather with the doors open). We parked somewhere, did some Googling, saw this was a common problem with the Odyssey, and minivans in general, followed some instructions to do some nonsense with the fuses and got the doors to work again. Still one problem, we could only get the doors to open and close when the van was off (it used to open/close while it was on and in park). Well, I didn't tell Phillip this entire story, but gave him the jist of it and asked if they could also take a look and let me know how much it'd cost to fix that. He gave me a call the next day when the van was all good and told me that after they fixed the one door both doors were working right, opening and closing as they used to while it was still running, so obviously no extra charge there, though he could have gone ahead and made something up and charged us a pretty penny. *Edit/Update: I just found out from my husband that every single thing we were quoted for turned out immensely cheaper, so it seems these guys give estimates with quite a bit of overage (which if you do not appreciate, you should learn to.) Okay I think I'll end my review here, basically these guys know what they're doing, are very friendly and easy to work with, and best of all reasonable prices, honest and not car salesmen. We used their fuel service for over 7 years, never missing a payment. Over the summer I lost my job and fell a couple of payments behind. I wanted to work something out with them, as our financial hardship is temporary. But without warning they came one day while I was away and pumped out every ounce of oil from our tank. So going into winter we are without heat and hot water. While they certainly have a right to reclaim oil that has yet to be paid for, it would have been nice to have someone call to see if something could be worked out. The measure of a companies customer service is in not so much how they perform when times are good, but in how they handle client challenges. In this respect they failed miserably. read more

After going to Cooper for years, they quoted us $2000.00 for a "repair/change out"of a part with no guarantees that the repair would work and no refund if it didn't. We decided to get a 2nd opinion and went to another Auto Repair on Perry. Harlow cleaned the part and charged us $200.00. That was about a year and a half ago, and the car is still running strong. We used to trust Cooper, but they've changed with a new assistant manager. No honesty. Bad diagnostics and no guarantees. We'll never take our car to them again. So I called today regarding a regular transmission service on my 2003 Dodge Diesel. I did it last time myself which involved a $10 dollar filter about a gallon of oil (the transmission does not fully drain) and adjustment of two compound nuts for the bands. It took me 2 hours. They said because it was a diesel it would cost $500 to $600. I think I will find the time to do it myself. read more

I would actually give them zero stars if I could. I went in to have them assess where my oil was leaking. Original quote was about $59 -$150 to JUST determine where the leak was. I get a call saying they have a general idea of where it is leaking but need to remove additional parts to see where the leak is coming from. They said it would be a total of $250 JUST to find out. $250 up from $150 just to find out where the leak is. I declined the extra $100 as I felt I was being ripped off. I then went to Town and Country and they said it would cost me $59 to assess where the leak is. I explained are they absolutely positive only $59 as I explained what happened to me at Coopers. Town and Country concurred it would be no more. Town and Country ran a dye as was able to tell where it was leaking from there. It was the rear main seal. All for just $59. I will never ever go back to Coopers as I feel your company takes advantage of those who may not know much about mechanical repair. I highly recommend Town and Country in Bremerton for repairs! read more
