You definitely will be paying for maintenance but that is the price for keeping your vehicle in service and not broke down. It is honest service price in my opinion. They did not replace the brackets on the AC condenser. The A/C condenser was flopping around in front of the radiator. I discovered this when I went to replace my daughter's headlights. They were going to charge me double the retail pricing on the needed parts. $670.00 for the A/C compressor; my retail cost was $335.00. $270.00 for the A/C condenser; my retail cost was $135.00 at the local O'Reilly's. They were doubling the retail price and were going to charge me that ridiculous amount of money for the parts. I bought the parts, picked them up, delivered them to the repair shop, and saved myself over $470.00. They charged me over $1,200 in labor. On 08/23/26, when I discovered the missing brackets while replacing the headlights, I drove to "Pull a Part" and bought used brackets from a junk-yard vehicle, went home, and installed them to prevent any damage. On 08/24/26, I showed the Service Manager, Paul, my photos and video and explained the problems I had uncovered. He tried to tell me that the brackets might have been missing and that the mechanic was younger. He then gave me $10 in cash from his pocket for the brackets and offered me a free oil change to keep my business. I told him that if the brackets were missing, why was I never notified, and why was nothing mentioned on my invoice/receipt? Paul provided me with the District Manager's business card and said he would be at the shop tomorrow, and I could come back and see him. On 08/25/26, I met with Paul, the Service Manager, and Terry Grimes, the District Manager. I showed both of them my photos and the video. (which I had previously shown Paul). I explained my displeasure with the quality of workmanship. Terry tried to convince me that the brackets had not been on the vehicle when I brought it in for repair work. I informed him this shop was the only facility that had ever done AC repairs on this car. I played devil's advocate and asked: if the brackets weren't there when the car came in, why wasn't I informed of the missing brackets, and why wasn't anything ever listed on the invoice? Terry asked me what I felt was a solution. I informed him that since I discovered the problem, I had to spend over an hour driving to the junk yard, removing the needed parts, and then driving home and putting the missing parts back on my car. I felt that he owed me 2 hours of his labor rate for my inconvenience. He was very emphatic that that wasn't happening. He offered no other solutions or suggestions. A Better Business Bureau (BBB) complaint is the next step. Corporate has refused to return any of my calls for on-line requests for 3 weeks. Terrible workmanship, unresponsive management. An upset customer who will never return!

They did find a few things wrong with my car but, they did not push me to immediately do the repairs. They explained them to me and advised which should be the next thing on the list I should repair. On Friday, we drove up to the shop to see they were closed (it was Good Friday and the shop was closed in observance of the religious holiday). This shop is also closed over the weekend, so I couldn't return home and to work on time. I have no issue with businesses observing holidays, especially those of religious observances, my issue is with not communicating to your customers. Not only did Andy's Automotive not uphold their word of having my car back by the weekend, but they also didn't notify me when dropping off that they would be taking the holiday. If I had known that, I would've made sure to stop by in person on Wednesday. Or Thursday. Or take my car to C&C Automotive like I used to do before I moved away. When I came to pick my car up, the lady manning the front desk said they didn't get a message. My mother told her she called a few times, I called, nobody called back. The lady said they didn't get any messages. Not one message was received? That seems like something else that needs to be remedied besides their communication practices. So I asked for Mr. Andy. He came to the office and I asked him if we could talk about what happened with my car. I said I dropped my car off last Tuesday for an oil change and a service light but needed my car by the weekend so I could be back at work by Monday. He looked at me and said, "Well todays Monday!" I reminded him that I don't live here and that's why I asked if it would be done by the weekend. He responded that he "dropped the ball" and didn't know what to tell me. He said he's been in business for 37 years and he dropped the ball. How about "I'm sorry?" How about "I'm sorry about that" and pretending to have empathy. I looked at him stunned that a business owner seemed to so openly not give a shit as to how his and his team's error not just inconvenienced a customer but cost them serious time away from work. I live in Virginia. Not just a trip over the bridge into North Augusta. Picking up my car today means that I can't leave for another day because of the ten-hour drive. He said he doesn't make up stories and excuses when he messes up and that if I "can't appreciate the truth that [he] doesn't know what to tell me." The biggest F-You I think I've ever gotten from someone that actually messed up. So I told him that "I appreciate the truth but what I don't appreciate is the attitude." And I gestured to his receptionist and himself. He got in a huff and walked away into another part of the office and slammed the door. As an employee that gets monthly vacation hours, I don't have the luxury to take a long weekend without penalty somehow. I don't have any problem with businesses taking the time they need for themselves and their families. What I have a problem with is when you tell your customers you can accommodate something and you don't. If he couldn't honor that he should've communicated before the weekend so I could've made other arrangements. My other issue is that if my car was ready to be picked up when I called first thing this morning, how long has my car been done? When was Andy's Automotive going to call and tell me my car was finished? All my car needed was an oil change so it's been sitting in their fenced area since Tuesday, with no communication to me that my car was done. TLDR: I dropped my car off for an oil change and a service due now alert, it took a week to get it back with constant unanswered calls. Take your car to any other shop in the CSRA, your business and time will be respected and appreciated more.

Within the same hour of picking up my vehicle on 07/02/2026, it broke down again with the same issue that was supposed to have been fixed. When I contacted the shop to report the immediate failure, I was told it must have been something I did, even though the vehicle had barely been driven since leaving their shop. They refused to take responsibility for the failed repair or offer a reasonable explanation. I had to pay the tow service because I wanted it towed to my residence instead of being towed to Butler Automotive again. The business charged a substantial amount, did not fix the problem, and then suggested towing the vehicle back to their shop--potentially to charge additional fees. After paying $2,500, my car should not have broken down the same day. I paid nearly $200 for diagnostics alone; they did not even diagnose the issue properly. The tow man told me immediately that the alternator or the battery is the issue; it's the fuel injection system. I asked that it be checked when I gave them my car to fix, and they clearly ignored me and obviously didn't even do a diagnostic test, and their mechanics can't be smart. Butler Auto is A SCAM. Money-hungry liars. I cried to them, literally cried, begging them for help with the bill. I let them know my situation that I couldn't pay $2500 upfront, begged for in-house financing, and they refused to help in any way. Desired Resolution: A full refund of $2,500 for ineffective repair services. A written explanation of the diagnostic and repair process. Accountability for the immediate breakdown following service.
