    Christian Brothers Automotive Evans

If "impeccable" were an auto repair shop, it would be Christian Brothers Automotive…read more From customer service to mechanical expertise, they are truly top tier. The team is professional, knowledgeable, and works with a clear sense of urgency that shows they value your time and prioritize getting you back on the road. There were no delays and zero miscommunication. Their system is outstanding, providing real time updates and video links so you can actually see inspections being performed on your vehicle. I never had to call once for a status update. The facility itself is just as impressive, clean, organized, and hazard free inside and out. The pricing was more than fair for the exceptional level of service provided. I dropped my car off right before work, and it was ready before my day ended. That level of efficiency is rare. I felt immediate trust and comfort here, which is not something I say often, especially as a foreign car owner. Highly recommend. Thank you all so much!

I've taken about a year to ponder over leaving a review or not…read more Me as a person: Naive, trusting, mid-20's, knowing nothing about cars. Issue: My 2014 Kia refuses to drive over 45 miles per hour. Jiffy Lube: "We cannot work on a car that has the engine light flashing" I coast down the hill to a place that has "Christian" in the title. Naive, naive, naive. The place is willing to look at my car that day. Wonderful. It's the morning. They'll let me know when they're done. I walk all over Evans since it's a lovely day. They have my car past 5:00. So it's been... 6-7 hours. Luckily I didn't have work. Finally I wait in the building so I don't get locked out past closing time. Eventually, I'm told "You're going to need an entirely new engine. Your car isn't safe to drive." I'm shaken. I had just bought the car less than 3 months ago. I ask if they know any tow truck services they trust so I can take my car home, as I was a pharmacy technician at the time and flat broke. I had spent that March through August walking everywhere I needed, so I just accepted my fate of walking everywhere once more until I could figure out how to save for a multi-thousand dollar fix. The person at the front desk then says "Oh, it's not serious enough that you need a tow." My inner dialogue went "Hm.. but you just said my engine needs to be replaced. My car isn't safe to drive... why WOULDNT I need a tow truck?" So I pay the $91 diagnostic fee on my credit card, a bit dumbfounded that $100, which was the equivalent to working 6 hours overtime at my full time job to afford the service, fixed nothing. My engine is to give out at any second, but I'm okay to drive home? Quite embarrassed, I called my veteran friend who came over that afternoon, ran a test on his diagnostic machine, and asked if I hit a bump recently. I did. He told me I had activated some sort of knock sensor when I did that, which then activated a safety mechanism, which was why my car wouldn't go over 45. He cleared the code on his device, and my car was magically fixed :) A year later, my car is still running great. No further issues. So I recommend avoiding this place. My friend fixed the issue in five minutes for the price of a thank you coffee while this establishment took an entire business day to attempt to scam me into buying a whole new engine without clearing the code to allow me to safely drive home until I could afford their "fix." Anyone who knows the driving culture in Augusta would understand that driving under 45 is dangerous business around all the irritated, impatient car-owners in this city. I don't appreciate anyone who uses scare tactics to uneducated, trusting people. It's embarrassing to be treated as if I'm stupid when in reality, I never had a father to show me how to run simple tests on my car to try and resolve issues myself. Rather shameful to lure people in with Christian decor when taking advantage of people in my opinion, but that's just my thoughts.

Marc Yount's Tire Pros - Waiting area

    Marc Yount's Tire Pros

Marc Yount's was strongly recommended to me by a co-worker as "the only place he would EVER go for…read moretires" in the greater CSRA. The front desk was friendly (ask for Randall or Jeff), the mechanics do good work. My four new tires were replaced and balanced in one hour and fifteen minutes on a Saturday (as a counter example Sam's and Goodyear have taken around 3 hours to do the same work). I called around to compare prices and Marc Yount's was cheaper than every tire place within 15 minutes of my apartment including Jim Whitehead and Tires Plus. Four Michelin Defender's for my 2011 Focus were 599$ (total walk out price after taxes). When comparing tire prices be SURE to ask for the walk-out price, balances and new valves can vary, as can service fees and other bull. You get FREE TIRE ROTATION, you read that right. They fix flats and patch tires that you bought from them for free... This place is top notch I can recommend you ONLY get tires from Marc Yount's. *Be sure to get an appointment*

I've done all the work on all my cars for all my life starting at 13 (yeah, I drove at 13, and…read moremaintained my mom's cars). I took my 4Runner (275k miles) to them for new back tires. I came back to pick it up, and old Marc with his hippy powerboat days well behind him, leaned forward and said "you and I have to have a talk..." "Your rear axle seals are shot, and I don't eve know what I'm going to find when I open that pumpkin (meaning differential)." An off-the-cuff estimate was $2500+ It was a condition I was aware of... just brake seals, not axle seals. They were leaking on the inside of the RR back tire, and rather than be honest or investigate further, they took me for a fool and threw rear axle seals in the mix, a $2500 repair that wasn't needed. I'm 100k further down the road and my axle seals are still fine. The blonde old hippie is a shyster, and his squeaky mouthpiece at the desk is just a minion. I went there because I thought they did good, honest work. But this was my last day ever since... can't re-build that kind of trust.

Today (13 August 2025) I brought my 2001 Acura CL Type S to Manny's Service Center on Wheeler Road…read moreto have the drivers side headlight fixed/replaced as it didn't come on the other few nights. Driving as a One Eyed Bandit is not safe nor legal. Manny explained that it could be the HID bulb, or some other problem, further explaining that parts may not be available as the vehicle is now 25 years old. ( Side note-but still good looking and still a great performance car!) Manny told me if not fixable, after market light kits may be the solution. I told Manny, do what you can. Two hours later I get a call from Manny- the lights are working! I asked what was the problem? He said "well we started the vehicle, turned on the headlights and they are on, both sides." "What" I said. "Ok, i'll be there in an hour to pick up the car." Drive down to Manny's, go in office. Manny is in there, eating lunch. But he took the time out to explain what was done. It took all of ten seconds as he said, "we didn't do anything." I asked Manny how much did I owe him for his time and efforts. He said "Nothing, we didn't do anything!" Now- this is why I am taking the time to write this review- How many times have we ever went to an auto repair shop and paid Nothing! Go anywhere else and it's a fee that is the Arm and Leg! And those shops will give you the bill with a big smile! Well-Manny's Service Center deserves Ten stars for his honesty and integrity! Have a Honda- bring it to Manny's Service Center. Have a Acura- Bring it to Manny's Service Center. Honest people in the auto repair industry is a rare find. When you find one, you want to spread the word, I am spreading the word! Highly Recommend Manny's Service Center for your vehicle's regular maintenance and for those repairs that are needed. It should be noted that this is the fourth time using Manny's Service Center, regular oil change, new alternator and for a new radiator. Each and every time, work done expertly and timely. And what's more important, the costs were reasonable. What more can I say- go to Manny's Service Center. It's a no frills place. No big waiting room, just honest and friendly people who do a great job.
