In the past two years this Walmart store has gone downhill. New staff do not really speak English. Store is a nightmare to find things. Ask a staff member and they don't know. They don't understand what you are saying and so you spell the words, They get that wrong because they don't know English alphabet. The store is a mess. Now the pet food is near automotive! It's food not an auto part! Can't find anything because they have made a quarter of the store into a planet fitness. So the store is small. Not worth going too. Plus to check out the maze makes you walk half the store width 3 times. Not good for the disabled. Don't go to this store, unless you speak Russian, then they will help you! read more

If I could give this Walmart no stars I would. They should absolutely fire their manager for not being on time to open the store. 7am is the advertising time it is open. After waiting some extra time to get in once I was ready to check out there was no person at a till. Leaving self check out up to the customer!! I've lived in the area for over 5 years and watched this Walmart just dive right into the ground. WOW I was shocked. A Walmart drove me into an excited frenzy. First time for everything, eh? This place is MASSIVE. It is gleaming and spotless. The selection of items are extensive. The fruit and vegetable aisles which are GENERALLY a disappointment at other Walmarts, were very, very good. No "exotic" fruit but the basic fruit they had was fresh. Vegetables, too, were a pleasant surprise. The freshest, greenest crispiest okra I have seen in years. West-Indian yams, eddoes and Indian brinjals. Meat/fish section was immaculate. The trout was FRESH and reasonably priced, along with freshly-packed meats. I buy Halal chicken at Walmart because I prefer the taste. Am trying their trout - prefer it to farmed, fattier salmon. The "ethnic" aisle did not disappoint. Rice products galore, well-stocked, lots of items from S.E. Asia, my favourite mango juice in a pouch from the Philippines ... no shortage of international choices. The clothes did not look picked over, clean and neat. The cosmetics counter actually had an assistant on duty! This is a "cut-above" Walmart. They have stores on the periphery, one of which sells my favorite (expensive) hair care product from the States which was on sale for 50% off. There is the usual fast-food place (not my thing). Just a comfortable and PLEASURABLE experience. Only downside: not enough cashiers. Other than that, a well-run, well-managed store, better than ANY other Walmart experiences, even in the US. read more

The people that "work" at this Walmart are horrendous and if it wasn't 2023 where every company is happy to have "just anybody" work, they would all be unemployed. They act like they are unemployed anyways. The store is a mess. Literally. Nobody lifts a finger to clean. If you need help finding anything, good luck. You'll be met with attitude as if "how dare you expect me to do anything while working here". Their customer service is also horrible. If Walmart head office did a quality control visit to this location, most staff would be fired. We drive a little further to the Newmarket walmart on Davis where everyone is pleasant and you aren't needlessly stressed shopping at their store. read more

I've noticed Wamarts tend to be pretty much the same. They follow a corporate standard. The only differences seem to be those ones that vary from that standard. This location doesn't vary. It's your typical store. Location: At Wellington and 404 in the business park. Getting there: There's no walking here. You either drive or take the bus. Parking situation: It's in a huge parcel so there's a tonne of parking. If you ever come and there's no parking spaces, it would be really odd. The store: It's a stand alone store. There's a mcdonalds, a glasses place, lottery ticket place, etc. They also have the full grocery store. All you shopping needs in one spot Checking out: They always have a lot of cashiers whenever I've been here. Lines are long because it's a pretty busy place on the weekends but the lines move pretty fast. Best time to come? After work during the week. There's a lull and you can get in and out pretty quick!! 4 stars because it's clean, has everything you might need and is pretty efficient. read more

I was looking for either strong or twine. I asked 5 people who worked there and only one even knew what string was, and two I had to spell out the word "string". I had to spell it several times while she typed into the system to find string. I was sent to crafts where the thread was located. Really! String is an every day item, it is not new or exotic and should be simple to locate. I left the store no string. Apparently they do not carry string. Please bring back Canadian owned stores! And FYI, all Municipalities require you bundle branches etc for yard waste with string! read more

Walmart and 4 STARS? Unheard of right? In this case I am giving this particular location for a few reasons. Firstly, I guess no one needs to shop at Walmart in Aurora...which is fine by me because that means it is practically empty. I can walk down the aisles without bumping into people; no screaming kids; bathrooms are decent; shelves are stocked with the items I need. Honestly it's a win for me. You generally never have to wait too long in a line which for anyone who has spent an evening or weekend at Walmart knows that 95% of your outing is just standing in line. The store is always clean and items are where they should be so there is limited confusion with wrong prices once you get to the register. They price match and the best part is usually the line up for their customer service (returns) is not bad - especially on a weekday. read more

Do not waste your time and money working here at all. The managers are abrupt, rude and give an annoyed and angry expressions on their faces at you and fire you when you make small mistakes instead of helping you. They expect you to lift heavy objects twice your size at four times your speed in short amount of time. The coworkers are also rude, abrupt, do terrible things like spread negative gossip behind your back and physical stuff and yell at you when you make small mistakes like it is the end of the world. They are also lazy and usually leave most of the new coworkers do their work also.. Horrible experience indeed. Worst place to work so far. read more

Walmart Optical/Vision Centre in Aurora is Super! Huge selection of very good, and affordable frames. Amazing special price for second pair. But best of all was Edward, an extremely skilled professional who worked with me to find the very best prescription for my glasses. He took a very long time experimenting with various lenses, based on the prescription from my optometrist - and the result was distance glasses that gave me even better results than that prescription! He then focused on my second pair - the reading glasses. Edward asked me if I used a computer and experimented with various lenses, deciding on ones that gave me the best of both worlds - being able to read even small print but at the same time, not having to scoot too close to the computer screen to see it properly. Now that I've been so wonderfully spoiled by him, I'd never go to anyone else! :-) read more

We have been in this store every week for a long time, My husband needs the electric cart he spent two and a half months in hospital last year and he needs an electric cart, fout times lately the thing ran out of battery power so he had to rely on just pushing the shopping cart that I had filled and he is so weak that it is hard for him to get out of the store. Maybe better batteries should be used. We have been there every week since he has been able to get out a bit we spent $178.00 today and when the cart ran out of battery he pushed the buggy to the huge line up we do use self check out period. I went to customer service to ask if someone could open up another cash register as there was only one being used. The girl at the cash register had finished with the customer she had the receipt was out of the register and all she needed to do was hand him his receipt. I told her that there is only one cashier open and my husband is crippled I couldn't say anything else she just started to yell at me and tell me how rude I was and I told her that if a cashier isn't open I will just leave and go home she said please yourself. I went back to my husband and said lets leave and just then a nice girl came and opened up and so we went to her and cashed out. That girl made the statement that she didn't know where all her coworkers are or what they are doing I agreed with her and said they are doing nothing. That will be the last time I will be shopping at walmart I will go to super store from now on. Thanks for my new mastercard but you can be assured I will not be using it anywhere. We have spent around $200.00 every week for a while now the girl that is on the cash in customer service should go work in a factory where she doesn't have to deal with people that are already upset because of a problem they are having I think the girl that came and opened up heard her yelling at me. Like all Walmarts, they're messy in some aisles and super clean in others. Compared to the Walmart I'm use to (major mac/bayview) this one is slightly cleaner, even during the Christmas season. I'd say it's the location, since Aurora is still developing (super fast lately). All the staff at this location are SUPER friendly, or perhaps I haven't met the d-bag yet. When you go in, there's a mani/pedi shop, hair salon and few others. Even the people working there are friendly. Maybe I should purposely price match 20 items to piss them off lol jk. In terms of item/merchendise availability, this location seems to have stock most of the time. I have yet to experience an empty shelf when I go do groceries, unless there is a price match super sale. The parking lot is great bc there are so many parking spots + the lot is ginormous! Well, it's just a Walmart after all, so I wasn't expecting anything amazing. As far as they go though, this one is okay. First and foremost, this one is very large. A good thing for sure! We did manage to find everything we were looking for, and a couple of things we weren't, so it can be a one stop shop if you'd like it to be. We weren't there for groceries, but checked out the selection and prices. The selection was good. The prices I found to be on average higher than those in stores like No Frills, Freshco, etc. A lot of household items and clothes were fine, and seemed to have fair prices. We did stop and try to shop at the section of the store that was stocked full of Easter candy. It was incredibly disorganized, with rarely a correct price, and hard to find what you were looking at. Decided not to buy anything from this section. Also had an issue at the cash register. We were buying items that were "2 for $13", but they came up as full price for both. And since we didn't notice right away we had to go and get a refund from Customer Service. They at least were quick. All in all an okay place to shop. I wouldn't go out of my way to stop here, but it'll do if you happen to be in the area read more

Visiting from USA and came to Walmart to get some of the chocolates we do not have available in the USA. It is spacious and helpful cashiers. This place was not as crowded which is great, so you have time to shop around without bumping into other shoppers. I also found some great items on clearance. Overall the store seems well maintained and I was able to locate the items I wanted easily. read more

I love love love the Wal-Mart. I enjoy walking the aisles and looking at all the different items. So naturally, when the Wal-Mart SuperCentre opened up relatively near my house, I was Super excited! I have a Wal-Mart right around the corner from my house but it doesn't compare to the SuperCentre. This place is montrously huge. The electronics section is at least triple the size of the one by my house. It's extremely excessive. If you were to go through each aisle in this store, it would probably take you to entire day. There's honestly no reason to ever go through it all but it's just fun. My favourite section is electronics where the DVDs are ALWAYS cheaper than any other place. And yes, I do still buy my DVDs because I'm old school like that (sometimes I buy CDs too). But going through them and sometimes finding an old TV show that has recently come out on DVD. Love it! I also buy all of my household items here from shampoo to face cleansers to laundry detergent. Honestly, if I ever walk out of here from buying stuff less than $100 it will boggle my mind because coming in here, you find things that you need but you weren't there to buy but because they're on sale, you're definitely going to get it now. There's always sales and the prices are always great. This location is kept pretty neat and tidy which probably has a lot to do with the fact that it's in the middle of nowhere and it doesn't get too busy. I also go during off hours like weekday afternoons/nights. But I always see workers walking around and cleaning and putting stuff away. Which is definitely not the case in other locations. It is a bit of a drive for me to get here so I won't always come to this location but if I had a choice, this definitely would be where I go. read more

Love this walmart, especially on weekdays in the evening. Its usually not so busy compared to the weekends. Great selection and overall clean if comparing to other walmarts(brampton location at queen and airport, nasty) Washrooms are hit or miss so i try hard to avoid as much as possible. I usually do the self check out. Some of the cashiers really need to learn how to pack a bag properly. The few times ive gone through with a cashier, they pack my bags horribly. It's Walmart, what can I say....you're gonna find the same shit at the same prices as any other Walmart, this one seems to stand out to me. The location is great! Right off the highway and in a strip mall that actually has other stores you want to visit. Since this one is a "super store" you can get pretty much anything you are looking for. I could have purchased backed goods, then gone to get my nails done while I was waiting for my perception to be ready and the kids (if I had any) could have been playing with the vending machines or the xbox games that are on display to try...a parents greatest dream.....hahahah. This store is HUGE, and when I say HUGE I mean it! I almost got lost today. If you are shopping with an older person I suggest getting one of those rider carts for them, or you know...if you're the lazy type. I went on a Sunday and the product selection was slim, but generally it's not that bad. The Christmas hours are in full swing, so if you can't sleep - wander over to Walmart at 3 in the morning to kill some time and put your insomnia to good use and get your Christmas shopping done when no one is in the store. read more

The Walmart Vision Centre should just close up shop. The customer service and my overall experience was by far the most horrendous i've ever experienced. I got an eye exam ($70) in the spring in order to get more contacts and when I went in to get more contacts the Doctor who had given me the exam months previous (which by the way was AWFUL! I wrote a separate review on his professional listing) had since left Walmart and my prescription and everything was "gone" When I inquired why it was missing, I received no answer, other than they cant help me as they need a prescription to give me contacts. So the end result was I paid $70 for an eye exam for absolutely nothing! Dont waste your time.... go to an optometrist, the money you save from Walmart is not worth the headache!! I guess its my fault, I shouldn't have trusted my eyes with the same people who sell tires! read more

We goin' ta Wal-Mart - Wally, wally, wally-wha! Okay, okay, any time I think about my weekly Wal Mart adventure, I can't help but hear Mr. Ghetto's Wal Mart in my head (if you've never heard of it, for the love of all that is good and pure in the world, don't look it up: I mean it, you'll thank me later.) As a native of Brampton for the first 24 years of my life, experiencing a Wal Mart trip that didn't feel like a blood bath, result in an argument with the cashier, or left me wondering how I managed to escape the parking lot without an insurance claim didn't seem possible until I moved almost an hour north of B-town. My experience at the Aurora location is always painless: I'm able to get in and out, the cashiers don't give me a hard time when I'm price matching with Flipp, and it's by far the cleanest Wal Mart location I've ever been to. They have a growing array of international food products that fulfill the needs of this 'Portuguese' raised gal who really wants to recreate Vovo's sopas or cozido at home (while Avo is at her own house an hour away), and still sing to my Asian cuisine lovin' self, too. I have to say, this Wal-Mart is very disappointing with regards to the staff and customer service. It seemed everywhere I wanted to go in the store there was someone in the way stacking shelves - and they didn't bother to move even though it was clear I was trying to look beyond their piles of boxes. Very unprofessional and unfriendly. The staff in the electronic section were busier socializing with each other rather than helping those waiting in the long line. I don't care to hear about their personal lives being discussed loudly while they laugh and giggle at each other. They made it clear they did not care for their jobs. Again, very unprofessional and not helpful whatsoever. I think Wal-Mart should deliver a higher level of service than this. Because of this experience, I will be avoiding this Wal-Mart location whenever possible. read more

You just walk the aisles and choose what you want. You can find good deals there but watch out for the price tags. You want find popular brand there, though. I've been going for years and just this past year I can't find a shopping cart that the wheels are taking you to places you don't want to go. In fact, the selection of absolutely everything here is positively over-the-top in comparison to other Walmarts in the area. Aurora lucks out at this location. read more

This Wal-mart is fantastic, once you get over all of the corporation's alleged human rights abuses. This location has a arts & crafts section, which not all Wal-marts have. They carry natural products such as Burts Bees and they also carry a selection of organic foods, including organic milk, ice cream and some produce. This super centre has a wine store, a nail salon, a travel agent, a McDonalds, an OLG booth, a hair dresser, a mechanic, all sorts of services. Unfortunately it's located in a horrendous "Smart Centre" (see my other review for how I feel about "Smart" centres...) but it is in the corner so fairly easy to access, except for the too-narrow laneway at the side and the one-way traffic at the entrance. This store also has self-checkouts (which not all of them do) that breakdown often but are so much quicker than waiting in line to have a cashier do it. This location is fairly quiet during the daytime, you'll pretty much never stand in a line-up unless it is Christmas time. After work it gets busier. The store is kept clean, the staff are nice, and they have good stock. Their washrooms are also usually in good condition. The returns line can get backed-up sometimes and sometimes you have to flag somebody down in order to get help if you're stuck on the self-checkout, but overall the staff are helpful and pleasant. read more

While the self check outs are fun, it'd be great if people who used them knew how to use them quickly instead of checking out two strollers full of items. The cashiers could at least direct them to a lane that will be willing to help them. The McDonalds inside this location is alright. The staff for the most part are usually not easy to find which is kind of cool, but when you feel like you're being watched more than you're being helped that kind of sucks too. The Auto-Department however is AMAZINGLY helpful from what I've seen and heard, too bad a car breaks down very little in comparison for the other needs I'd have to shop at Walmart. read more

If i could rate this store a 0 i would have. I bought a prepaid phone for a family member here, i asked the sales guy prior to buying numerous questions to ensure that there where no monthly charges associated with the phone, and i would only have to pay for the minutes i loaded on it, he assured me that there where no monthly charges with the phone. But when arrived home to put minutes on it, i realized that at a minimum it was $25 a month to get service supplied to the phone and wasn't at all what i was looking for. When i went back to the store to return it they refused to take it back citing some bull excuse about electronics not being returnable. I'm looking into contacting the walmert head offices about this and the terrible business practices walmart is using, lying to customers to get merchandise out the door and then refusing to take it back. Stay clear of this store, their staff are either uneducated about their products or just plain dishonest and their managers are extremely rude and demeaning. read more
