Daylyn is a very calming, fair trade store which offers many different items to purchase. Items include clothing, gem stones, jewellery and accessories, home goods, essential oils, books, everything related to chakras, candles, wooden boxes, incense & holders, meditation items, perfume, and so so much more hand crafted things. They offer lots of services too (which I have yet to try) such as readings, massage therapy, reiki, reflexology, thai yoga... just to name a few. I visited today and instantly felt so warm when I entered. Not warm physically, just welcomed and included-feeling. There were other shoppers when I came in which worried me that I wasn't going to get the attention I had wanted. Don't take that the wrong way; I just had plenty of questions regarding a few items I was interested in buying. I felt the lady helping me was resourceful, knowledgable and gave equal assistance to us all without excluding anyone. No matter the question I asked, I didn't feel it was answered too 'far out there' or 'hokey'. She knew her stuff! The receipt says "Julia" so I'll assume that's her. The last time I was here was yesterday for their October 2016 sale. I went on the last day of the October sale, and I found that the selection wasn't as good as from their sales about a year ago. First off, there wasn't much selection for women, and a lot of their merchandise are for guys. Last year, I was able to find a $10 warm hoodie, but now, the cheapest one I could find was $40 and I got the last piece with my right size. My fiance was able to purchase many hoodies, and there was a lot in stock - for guys. This time though, I was impressed by the abundance of Timberland shoes, I was able to purchase a couple of men's boots for my fiance with a good price. I checked my receipt and the calculated average of savings I get is 50%. I would recommend still checking this place out, as this is a big warehouse sale, and they have a lot of different types of clothing to shop for. They have hoodies, sweaters, t-shirts, work-out clothes, work pants, winter boots, safety shoes, winter jackets, golf apparels, even beauty products and jewelery! Obviously as a fella, they don't exactly sell clothing for me (it's a ladies clothing store) but this was a great spot to start my Christmas gift shopping. Now I don't pretend to be a fashionista, I mean I can barely match my socks half the time (and I only wear white socks) so that's why I was glad the staff at WHBM were so helpful. I gave them the approximate style and size of the person I was buying for (as well as my budget) and they were able to make several on point recommendations that I knew would be perfect for the very difficult person I was shopping for. In addition to showing me select pieces they were also great at showing me some options on how it could be worn so I could pass along the knowledge to the gift receiver on christmas morning. END RESULT: A perfect gift, and a very happy Christmas! Thanks White House for all your help!

So the Big K headed in first while I went to Dollarama nearby to waste some time. How long could buying a hockey stick take? I finally had to enter National Sports to investigate the Big K's disappearance and within record time I was greeted by a very friendly salesperson who not only found The Big K for me, but three perfectly wonderful, very expensive hockey sticks that could significantly improve The Big K's game (and in sum total cost more than my dishwasher.) After much careful consideration, The Big K finally settled on "just one" (thank goodness) from this neatly organized and well-stocked store. I rushed the Big K with stick in hand to the check-out (in an effort to prevent him from buying anything else.) Even the cashier was super-charming and personable and made paying the large bill less painful. Final words: bring lots of cash. This store is conducive to shopping.

To be honest, I barely shop here anymore since most of their items are medicore quality at best and they end up at the thrift store for $5 after the season is over. I don't blame the employees at all, I know Aritzia has a terrible comission structure (even though now the employees don't even receive a commission, they just need to ensure a # of sales to get a yearly or quarterly bonus I believe ... cheap asses). Aritzia makes their staff hard sell to every single person that walks in here, because if they don't hit their numbers, they'll either be let go or put on probation. I am in here for less than 5 minutes and 3 girls beelined towards me to ask if I need help with anything, why I'm in here (ummmm...to shop?) and if I need help finding sizes. Mind you, every time I've asked if they had a certain size in stock, I'm always met with "whatever we have, it's on the floor" ... ok, so I can just as well find my own size. Also the shorts and leggings ALWAYS only have XXS and XS in stock at this location with maybe one large left - the XS is so tiny, when you hold it up, it looks like it's for a child (which it probably is). I can never find a medium or a small in stock - might as well shop online anyway. Last time I was here, I had a few clothing items I was evaluating getting and a sales associate ran up to me, told me she'd put my stuff at the front and told me her name before grabbing them out of my hands and rushing off... it happened to my sister too, which left her so flustered, she ended up letting the girl take her clothes to the front register and she just left the store. Do you also notice there are tiktoks where people make fun of aritzia, because every time you come out trying something on, the girls rush up and gush about how amazing it looks on you. Girl, I know you lyin'. Also - communal mirrors in a dressing room? Yikes... Also - FYI to everyone: Aritzia is majorly fast fashion. Just because the prices are high and aesthetic is different, it makes you think that it's not but the reality is that it's rated at a lower sustainability scale than h&m.
