Tortillas made from scratch. Tried the Ribeye (Asada), Carnitas and Al Pastor. All were good, the Al Pastor imo was the best, but I wish the pineapple was charred on the grill too. They don't have any burritos but you'll be happy with their tacos, quesadillas, sopes and tortas. I'd def go back. Their sauces were on point, green (verde) was my fav. The most flavor imo... Truck was in downtown Tampa on Florida and Kennedy. I think. I'm still new out here.

Loli's Mexican Cravings Food Truck, Tampa Bay

Whenever Loli's Mexican Cravings Food truck visits our offices for lunch it makes my day! Loli's Mexican Cravings food Truck is hard to miss, colored with neon pink on the top, black on the bottom, and their name in large letters on every side of the truck. After placing our order, our tacos were out in less than 6 minutes! Loli's serves tacos, quesadillas, tortas, sopes, and tomales with your choice of meat including chicken, campechano, carnitas, chorizo, pastor, ribeye, vegetarian, shrimp, and lengua. Loli's is priced very reasonably with tacos for $2-$4, tamales for $3, sopes for $4, tortas for $8-$10, and quesadillas for $8-$10. I got the al pastor tacos and they came with sautéed onions, pineapple, and 2 delicious house-made spicy habanero and guacamole based sauces which really put the deliciousness of the tacos over the top! In the past I've gotten the Campechano, shrimp, and carnitas tacos and those were all very well marinated and spiced as well! My coworkers were raving about their tacos and Quesadillas as well! If you need to find out their schedule of stops, call Loli's phone number or visit their Facebook which is frequently updated. You can also visit the brick and mortar Loli's Mexican Cravings Restaurant off the Veterans expressway, south of Waters, on Benjamin road any time for the same great tasting Mexican options! Although Loli has a brick and mortar location, I recommend ordering to go from there too because the seating area is very small and can get cramped with large crowds during lunch and dinner times. I look forward to trying more types of tacos and dishes off Loli's menu when they visit our offices again, hopefully soon!

Garbage. Utter garbage. This was some of the most salty, greasy mess I've ever eaten. Never again will I eat from this food truck!

It was open for business, but there was only one other group of two in there with us-and only one server-who was also the bartender. It was a little odd. I'm sure this place is popping at night. Our server (who was chatty at the end-businesslike before) told us there's karaoke on Friday nights and a DJ on Saturdays. I'll definitely bring the friends back for that. The drink menu is large-it would be a fun night spot. I'm just not sure I'd come back for a weekday lunch. That's not the food's fault, though. I had chicken enchiladas verde (very nice) with some of the best Mexican rice I've ever had. The margarita was also good. You can tell this restaurant has been around awhile-there are echoes of genres past, with different decor still lingering (the lighting, for example). But I love the murals outside, the bar surrounds, the signage by the stage area and the other Mexican touches. I also really like the vintage windows-it's a nice nod to the past. And it's spotless in here-so clean-with lots of tables. I also thought the prices were fair. I hope they thrive!

We did not know that walking in. They all looked at us like what are you doing here? My husband even said is this a restaurant? So we asked for a menu - which is a QR code. Yes- they have food. We decided to sit at the bar and at least have a drink. It was early so no a lot of people. Everyone seemed confused as to how things worked. Most employees spoke Spanish and we do not. A bartender did speak English. He asked what we wanted and took our drink order. He was nice. We did end up getting food. Chips and salsa=$10! Other items were priced fairly. We asked for water and he claimed they only had bottles of still water=$4.50. But we saw someone else get a glass with ice/water at another table. Also be warned there is a "service fee" of 15% (for what I have no idea) and if you use a credit card 3% card fee. We searched on line to see what people said about this place and some other reviews on Google said they charge $10 to get in although we were not charged anything to come in. In the end the food was pretty good. Bottom line- this is a nightclub with an identity problem as they are trying to serve food as well and it just does not have a restaurant or bar&grill feel to it. We won't be back as not our scene, but also wish them well with the clients they really are trying to attract.

I've been here before with friends a few times, years ago but somehow never wrote a review and hadn't been back. It was time to fix both of those problems. . I stopped in for lunch on a Monday and had my pick of spots in the large, festive- rustic dining room. There are tables and booths aplenty-along with tall stools at the large bar. They bring you a generous basket of chips and salsa right away. The first round is free-they charge after that. The chips are usually fresh and crisp. To me, the salsa needs more heat or spices-but don't go by me-I have tomato issues. My server arrived soon and was so sweet when handling my questions. She helped me make good ordering decisions and also checked on me often, but didn't hover. I went with one of the lunch specials, which was a good deal. I had the Speedy Gonzalez: a beef taco, beef enchilada verde and rice (you could have also chosen beans). It's tasty and filling-and goes down great with those aforementioned skinny margs. I ordered the cheese dip and a side of flour tortillas to dip in it. I just can't resist a bowl of cheese. All this merriment on a Monday afternoon? Si!!! The menu is big-and has echos of the Vallarta's restaurants here in the Bay Area. I'm wondering if it's a sister restaurant. It's in a strip mall, with some parking in front and maybe more in back. There's outdoor seating-and I know they used to have mariachis on certain nights-and people would dance. I should find out if that's still the case. I love mariachis even more than a bowl of cheese. Gran Agave has been here a long time. I think it has a strong local following-and I need to become a regular.

We had a group of nine for a family dinner and waited about an hour for a table, which was understandable for a larger party. Once seated, however, the service was unfortunately very slow. It took about 15-20 minutes just to receive our drinks (seven waters and two margaritas), and our food took roughly an hour to arrive at the table. The restaurant didn't appear to be overly busy, so the long wait times were a bit confusing. Because gratuity was automatically included, it felt like our server may not have been as attentive as expected. The prices were also on the higher side, which made the slow service even more disappointing. That said, I do want to mention that the food itself was very good, which was definitely the highlight of the experience. Overall, while we enjoyed the meal, the customer service left a lot to be desired. I'd consider returning in the future, but only if the service improves.

I ordered the Al Pastor burrito -- twice in one week -- specifically to test consistency. Both visits were outstanding. The flavors were vibrant and clean: fresh pineapple, bright cilantro, perfectly seasoned meat, and you could even pick up subtle notes of cinnamon. Everything tasted fresh, balanced, and genuinely authentic, not over-processed or masked with heavy sauces. What really stood out was the care. The staff checked on me while I was eating, genuinely wanting to make sure everything was right. It felt less like a restaurant and more like being in someone's kitchen -- that comforting "grandma making sure you're fed right" kind of energy. Warm, welcoming, and personal. I've traveled extensively in Mexico and lived in Florida for years trying to find a place that hits the mark for real Mexican flavor -- and this place absolutely delivers. Hands down, this is the best Mexican food I've found in this area in a long time. If you're anywhere near Brandon and love authentic Mexican food, do yourself a favor and stop here. The FREE chips and salsa were terrible. Chips were hard and old tasting and the salsa was watery and tasteless. I think I found one onion piece in the tomato soup they call salsa. Let's start with the service. Mr. No personality, what do you want, why are you asking me questions about the menu truly just seemed annoyed that my wife had a question before we ordered. I had the combo fajita with steak and chicken. My with had the Carne Asada tacos. The tacos had no flavor at all.
