When we arrived Mike showed JP all of the boards & he picked which one he wanted & Mike took the time to put the fins on the board with JP & give him a little lesson on surf safety & some surf talk! JP loved the whole experience! We've ordered other boards all online & now that Mike gave JP that experience, we will go to the primal surf shop & get the boards from now on! Small Cutesy little Village…read more We came on a whim around noon and walked around shoppes. I liked them, but they weren't very unique. Ate at Fred and Ethel's Lantern Light Tavern. The wait for 2 people was 45mins around 2pm, but as we finished eating around 330pm the restaurant was getting emptier. Food was average. There isn't much for kids to do. Just a carousel, s'mores, train ride ($4 per person for a 5min ride) and the talking tree. You can do everything in under an hour and everything is more fun after dark of course. I was very excited for the "light show," which was extremely underwhelming. There was maybe 20ish little trees made of lights, spread out around the lake area and they were flashing synced with songs. Seriously... that is it... Lake was dried out so maybe that took away from the experience ? Doubt it. My partner and I had a great time, but it is not somewhere I would like to visit more then once.

Until I discovered CHIC BOUTIQUE--life changing! The inventory of beautiful clothes is so vast that I always walk out of there with a minimum of 2 shopping bags, (which is unheard of for me if I shop elsewhere-- I don't even like to shop!!) The owners have a great eye and buy beautiful garments to stock in their lovely boutique. But even beyond that, it's the high-touch customer service that keeps me coming back to this spot. The 2 ladies who run the store are exceptional. They give just the right amount of service: not too much where you feel like they're pushing you to buy something, but enough that they're always ON IT. They help you find things that would look great on you and they always take your armful of clothes to the dressing room so you don't have to schlep them around while you're browsing. It is the perfect amount of assistance. They also give honest feedback in the dressing room ranging from: "That looks amazing on you!", to "Nope. I don't love it. Here, give it to me, I'll put it back for you."; so there is no hard-sell with this shopping experience. I honestly feel like I have my own personal assistant whenever I shop there. They are truly a delight to work with and they have helped me SO much. The experience is so wonderfully atypical that I don't even bother to shop anywhere else anymore. This is my one and only go-to place because it's that successful, every time. Ask for Meredith or Andrea when you go and I'm sure they'll make your experience exceptional like they do for everyone. CHIC BOUTIQUE is a rare find. And I never take the time to write a review, but these 2 ladies really do deserve the props.
