This store is especially for indulgent parents and grandparents of pint sized princesses. If you love seeing your little diva in sparkle, glitter, mermaid, princess or ballet tulle, this is the place for you, IF you have the money to spend on frivolities. The clothes and assessories here are adorable. Seasonal dresses are nice prints and very much the kind of thing indulged little girls love! I could have bought one of everything for my own little cutie pies. As it is, this year and last I only bought one item as budget is not unlimited. They will personalize with names or whatever you want in gems and sparkles. There are shirts for birthdays or first days of school, to name a few. It seems they cater to probably 1 year olds to 7 year olds - the ages where they either don't yet realize they are frou frou or the ages where they freely choose it themselves. After that I guess peer pressure sends them in the direction of jeans and crop tops. I gave this store 4 stars because they seem to only have one employee who has to wait on customers, do the garment personalization, answer questions.... i always seem to wait way too long to check out with my one item. The place is always hopping with women wanting to buy, but for me the price point is way too high even at 20% off a summer item in fall. Some of the precious fall dresses were upwards of $70. That's a whole lot for a toddler or preschooler. Still, as long as my own little granddaughters remain willing to wear what Gramma buys them, I will be drawn into the fairy land that is Bad Kitty. read more

OCNJ- Boardwalk-My daughter created a collar for her stuffed animal and picked out a skirt for it. I quickly read the sign and thought it said $12.99 for an animal and collar, plus accessories are extra. When we went to the register it was $44.00 for a small stuffed animal, with a few charms, and a skirt!!! The manager was very unprofessional when questioned about the price. This review is for the Stone Harbor location - the sales associates could not be more disinterested in helping customers. My kids wanted to do the collars for the stuffy section. You would think the associates would offer an explanation of anything. I came over to ask and she pointed me in the direction and said everything's there. Then one associate walked over to show the charms drawer. Every drawer was empty except the letters, and even the letters were not all there. You're creating this experience for a child, maybe put some effort into it? Seems like they are there for a paycheck, and that's it. My kids picked some charms, added them to the collars. There was no explanation of anything else. What a crappy experience. Seems like a great idea but you need people that actually want to be there and like kids, not the people you had working. read more

The people who work there are very nice, too! They have a very nice selection of stuff there. The prices are a little high, but what do you expect, it's NJ! We go to Ocean City every summer and we have to stop off at the Bad Kitty! They have hair braiding in a cute little area on a stage and the rest of the store is a girls/tween dream! Sparkles and sequins are everywhere! Stuffed animals as far as the eyes can see. This cute store also has clothes, jewelry and most any thing that is trending. This is a must stop if you're looking for good quality items! You may also find stuff for your self. Staff is super friendly. We went during covid 18l9 and everyone is wearing.masks and social distancing. I felt 100 percent comfortable going in Bad Kitty with my daughter. read more

My daughter absolutely loved this place! She loved it so much that we visited numerous times during our time at the Shore. During our first visit my daughter got a hair braid/wrap. The young lady that did my daughters hair was very good. The following day my daughter visited and got a glitter tattoo on her ankle, she loved it. On the third visit m daughter got a henna tattoo on her hand and wrist. In addition to these services they also sell a lot of little toys, gifts and fashion accessories. My daughter got a plush mermaid, a little wrist purse and few other little things. Prices are not bad, especially if you have a coupon, our hotel gave us a coupon book and there were some BOGO coupons in there for Bad Kitty so try to get your hands on some coupons if you want to do it on a budget. We went in the Stone Harbor location, but this is the only location on yelp.... This was quite possibly the cutest girl/kids store we have ever been to! Loved all the items and selection of merchandise! We bought a big bag of goodies including custom shirts, glitter sun screen, and slime. The only reason they don't get 5 stars is because the staff was NOT helpful and unenthusiastic. Sadly, the owner is missing a million opportunities to increase basket size and sales volume with staff like that..... read more

Commenting on my store experience. Went in here the other day with my two little ones. My son picked out a $6 shark toy and as soon as I purchased it, he saw a slime he wanted instead. I asked the cashier if I can return the shark that was purchased literally a minute ago to purchase the slime instead and she wouldn't give me a refund and only an even exchange. Weird policy since I had JUST paid and wasn't returning days later, but okay. She was very rude about it which made it worse. I was forced to buy more junk just to get the $3 slime for my son. read more

My friend and I went to get out hair wrapped (with strings and beads) and as directed from the lady to take it out by cutting the bottom (with no hair) and unstringing it. But instead of carefully taking it out, they braided and waxed our hair so much that we both have bald spot marks from where a good section of our hair is gone from our scalp. We then called and they basically said we don't care you paid for it and no money back. Overall we do not recommend this place, the workers are rude and do not care about if you loose your hair or not. read more

This store is great! It is paradise for little girls! My girls love it here. The young ladies who work here are very helpful and sweet with the little ones. My girls got hair wraps last summer and they stayed in until we took them out, didn't damage their hair! (thank god!)
