Initially, when we walked into the store, we were excited because after browsing through the women's clothing rack for just a few seconds, we could tell that the clothing was trendy, and all of it seemed to be brand new. There were a lot of name brand pieces, and the prices were great because there was a sale going on with up to 90% off.
The decor is beautiful, and they did a great job of designing the place, as far as the layout, flooring, and lighting goes.
However, and this may be because they are trying to appeal to a younger generation (given the name), the music was very loud, which made it difficult for us to even hold a conversation while shopping. Our biggest complain though is the fact that we felt like we were in a daycare. For us, thrift store and consignment shopping is a break from every day life and should be relaxing. This was not a relaxing experience because there were children screaming & crying from every corner of the store, and even worse, their mothers were hollering over top of the music and chasing after them throughout the store. It appeared like some of these children belonged to the owners and/or staff members, but I'm not sure. Either way, it was pretty obnoxious.
The dressing rooms do not yet have mirrors, but there's a mirror outside of them. Hopefully this is because the store is new and they will eventually put mirrors in both rooms. I'm not sure who really wants to publicly model their clothing in front of a mirror. I certainly didn't and opted out of trying my clothing on for this reason.
The entire back half of the store is items for children with a very small men's section. There didn't seem to be many options for women who wear size large or plus sized and very few items geared towards middle-aged or older women, which I can understand, if they are in fact trying to appeal to a younger demographic, but even so, it would be nice if they were a bit more inclusive so that the entire family could shop here. Maybe instead of having 90% children's items, there could be a home decor section or maybe the store should note that it is primarily for children, so that people are not misled.
It was disappointing because, like I said in the beginning of my review, we were initially excited.
Another thing to note is that there are some overpriced jewelry pieces and candles in the front, along with other handmade items. Everything was pretty and eye-catching but the prices were just too high to consider purchasing.
The entire store has a Christian theme, which didn't bother me, but may be worth noting here because people of other religions and cultures may feel a bit overwhelmed or uncomfortable. And again, this isn't something that is clear from the outside or in the advertising - it was pretty unexpected and may not feel inclusive to some people.
Still worth giving 3 stars because the clothing itself is well priced, in good condition, and definitely carefully selected as far as trends and fashion go. read more
