My former 16 year old emo-punk self was in heaven here! So much fun stuff in this shop - shirts, hoodies, flags, pins, stickers, posters, etc. Quirky, fun, nostalgic. LOVE IT!

PART OF MY ORDER FROM THE UNDERGROUND~

I placed an order with Underground for six small items. When I received my order, it was missing two items. There was no packing slip or explaination. I reached out through E-mail, Facebook and two phone calls to find out what happened. I have received no reply. This company obviously doesn't care and I will be sure to tell everyone I know how they rip people off. Steer clear...

Very cool little shop that seems out of place in Smithville that carries a great selection of punk and metal t-shirts, accessories, posters, pins, stickers, vinyl, and paraphernalia. Loved hearing the punk music blasting out the front doors, and the reactions of the typical older waspy suburbanites walking by. Too funny. Of course we had to go in and check this place out. Plenty of odd and unique stuff in here, some with a NJ twist. Fairly priced too. Worth a visit if you're a punker or into the more darker realm of music and oddities.

A million stars. I was my teenage self again the second I went inside. Absolutely awesome. Best store in Smithville.

I love the music and it's hysterical to see the faces of some of the older visitors to Smithville as they wander into the store and hear the music blasting.

I spent 4 days in the Village -midweek-during June 2026. Lots of fun shopping. Plenty of gifty…read moretype shops, but also some specialty shops like a cooking gadget shop, a store selling lovely things from Ireland, a shop selling things from Italy and a Christmas shop open all year long. Prices are what you'd expect from a tourist location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of places to get food and beverages. Definitely worth the trip, but I understand it's absolutely packed on weekends. I have some mobility issues, but there are plenty of places to sit. I think most of the grounds are accessible for a wheelchair or baby carriage, but the ground is a bit uneven in places so you need to be careful. One thing to note is that most shops are not really wheelchair accessible, nor can they accommodate a stroller, although some have ramps. The shops are quite full of merchandise, so it would be hard to move around with a wheelchair or stroller.

Small Cutesy little Village…read more We came on a whim around noon and walked around shoppes. I liked them, but they weren't very unique. Ate at Fred and Ethel's Lantern Light Tavern. The wait for 2 people was 45mins around 2pm, but as we finished eating around 330pm the restaurant was getting emptier. Food was average. There isn't much for kids to do. Just a carousel, s'mores, train ride ($4 per person for a 5min ride) and the talking tree. You can do everything in under an hour and everything is more fun after dark of course. I was very excited for the "light show," which was extremely underwhelming. There was maybe 20ish little trees made of lights, spread out around the lake area and they were flashing synced with songs. Seriously... that is it... Lake was dried out so maybe that took away from the experience ? Doubt it. My partner and I had a great time, but it is not somewhere I would like to visit more then once.
