That was a very good experience, but what made me want to return was the conversation I had with the guy who did the inspection. He told me that he'd worked at other auto repair shops, but had never been treated as well as he was treated at Murphy's. That told me all I needed to know. So when I needed scheduled maintenance on my car, I made an appointment at Murphy's. When I called, the person had all my info in his system (because of the inspection sticker). Scheduling was easy, and I dropped the car off this morning. They called me with an estimate, and told me my front brakes would need to be replaced next time, but it wasn't necessary for today. He told me everything that needed to be done per the scheduled maintenance for my car, and I asked him to go ahead and do that. I'd dropped the car off at 8am, and by 1:30pm, all was complete. The charge was very reasonable, I picked up the car, and all was great. I would absolutely go there again.

Please do not take your car to this place…read more This is my firsthand experience with this repairshop. My car did not start one cold morning (1/5/2026) and I called AAA for a tow. The AAA did not offer to jump-start my car and towed my car to this shop. All they had to do was to jump-start my car and see if my car would start or not. That is the very 1st thing anyone with very little knowledge about a car will do. But instead they told me that my car engine is destroyed and I need a new engine. The gave me an estimated invoice for $11,200. Can you believe that? Yes, it is hard to believe but they wanted to charge me $11,200 for a new engine. All my car needed was a jump-start. There was nothing else wrong with my car. At that point I told them that "NO" I do not want to spend that on my car and I would like my car back to take it to another shop. The owner of this shop forced me to $176.00 for nothing. I mean they did not do a single thing other than wanting to scam me and steal my money by telling me I needs a new engine. I then took my car to another repair shop (an honest one). The mechanic at the second shop jump-starts my car and says to me "There is nothing wrong with your car other than needing a jump-start due to extreme cold in the night before". My longtime mechanic had retired, and I wasn't sure where to go next until I discovered D&G Auto Repair on Yelp! In August 2025, I brought my car in for brake service (pads and rotors replacement). From the very beginning, I felt I was in good hands. Paulo, the manager, responded to my Yelp inquiry almost immediately. He was professional, kind, and attentive.
