Mike explained everything with clarity and answered all the questions we had. He even answered questions we didn't think of! Mike made a few nice recommendations such as frosted glass windows, which turned out perfect! Communication was great. When ask for, Mike provided us with proof of insurance which was confirmed by the agency. We went ahead and ordered doors and a couple of weeks later they were installed! We felt we got a great value for the cost. Would recommend to anyone in need of a garage installation!

I had a new garage system installed last year because I was struggling with the garage door…read moreconsistently working during extreme temperatures -- both hot and cold. I've had multiple technicians come out, and each time they've blamed the issue on superficial causes like cobwebs or nearby leaves. Despite these repeated visits and new system, the core problem has never been addressed or resolved. When the system was installed, I was told that my purchase came with a membership that would cover future service visits and repair costs. (Every visit came with a $69 charge -- even when no work was done). I recently called in to report the same recurring issue and was told they would check on my membership status and call me back. They never did. A technician showed up anyway, gave the same vague explanation, and again did not resolve the actual issue. Afterward, I was informed that my membership had expired just two weeks prior. Not only that, but they claimed that even with an active membership, I'd still be responsible for the $69 fee -- completely contradicting what I was told at the time of purchase. The technicians themselves were polite, but friendliness doesn't fix a broken system or justify misleading service terms. I'm now left with a garage system that I'm almost certain will continue failing whenever the weather gets extreme. The worst part is the total lack of transparency and communication from the company's management about what the membership actually includes. If I had known my membership had expired -- or that it didn't cover service calls as promised -- I would not have scheduled a visit at all. This company's service model is misleading and ineffective. If you're looking for a reliable garage door provider with clear policies and real solutions, look elsewhere.

Lion responded quickly and scheduled next day service…read more Chris Smith installed new torsion springs on my two garage doors. He is proficient and competent. Before installing the new springs, he inspected and evaluated both doors. The work area was clean when he got done and the doors work perfectly. I though the final cost to be a good value. Chris was able to apply discounts because of my senior status and being a veteran. I called Lion because they advertised as a Williamsburg business. There was no repair service closer (45 mi). I later found out that the dispatcher I spoke to was in Virginia Beach (85 mi) and Chris was dispatched from Fredericksburg (also 85 mi). Chris did not have exact replacement springs on his truck and calculated a substitution from the parts he had. I have done garage door spring replacements myself several times and am aware of the requirement for springs to be sized correctly with the door to ensure long life and smooth operation. The original springs lasted 20 years. 7-10 years is generally considered the lifetime of a typical set. Lion warrants their service for 1 year. My fingers are crossed that the substituion will last the typical 7-10 years. A 4-star review instead of 5-star because the jury is still out on the longevity of this substitute installation and the fact that the dispatcher was not candid with me about how far away from me the business is. Chris alone would earn a 5-star review. I can only hope that warranty service will be forthcoming, if necessary.
