Called Va Door to get an estimate on door replacement and installing an opener. Randy showed ur, as planned, and promptly started his door inspection.. Cutting to the chase, he found that my garage configuration would not support an opener installation. After his door inspection, he debriefed my wife and I. He took me quite by surprise when he said "I believe all your door needs is a minor rail adjustment", which he did. The door is operating as advertised now. He re-located one rail by 1/2 to 3/4 in. We had a garage door malfunction happen recently. There was a sticker on the garage door to call VA Door when service is needed. When the garage door malfunctioned, it was a weekend, so I called immediately the following weekday. Chris picked up and she was super helpful! They scheduled for a tech to come out later in the week. I mentioned if availability came up any earlier to let me know. On Tuesday afternoon I rec'd a phone call from them and they said they'd be able to get a tech out the following AM. When Danny arrived the next day he was ready to roll. There was a something that happened with our drywall that he did not predict, and he had to stay another hour later to reassess the situation and perform a fix. Luckily he was able to get it back to functioning properly within a couple hours. I had to do some minor cleanup at the end, but it was still better than me or my husband having to troubleshoot and/or fix this ourselves. Thanks! read more

I called Virginia door because the bolts that attach my garage door opener to the door were missing. The person that came out and did the work also tightened up some other bolts on the door specifically near the door handle. The problem: it appears they over-tightened these additional bolts and now two door panels are too snug to each other and literally ended up cracking the aluminum skin of the garage door. When we contacted them to come back and look at the problem we never received any call back, any feedback, or to the best of our knowledge anybody coming back to look at it. Seems it was easier to ignore their own mistake than the cost to now fix it. Update: The bolts they over-tightened have now popped and I have gaps between garage door panels. We had Liftmaster installed by them in 2017. Started having issues 2021. They came to troubleshoot and used our ladder without asking. Replaced opener with Genie (2021) and different technician used ladder again without asking and technician asked for our pin number for exterior keypad instead of letting us key number into keypad ourselves. read more

NOT RECOMMENDED: VIRGINIA DOOR sold and installed a garage door for my mother-in-law a few years back and provided her with a Limited Lifetime Warranty. But when their repairman came to fix this warranted garage door, he said they don't do warranties and I should talk to their office. So I called their office and I am informed that the limited lifetime warranty is only good for a year. Huh??? For real??? And that I should be calling and talking to the manufacturer (not them, Virginia Door, the seller and installer) to honor the warranty. Huh??? Really??? So I guess, this warranty on paper is exactly that - nothing but paper. Wow! What ever happened to the words HONESTY and INTEGRITY?? Aside from not honoring the warranty on this door that they installed, they also gave a high quote to repair the top frame that had cracked, bent, and split. I strongly do NOT recommend Virginia Door. I called a local Virginia Beach repair service person who gave me a fair and reasonable quote, labor and materials included; to reinforce, align, and adjust the garage door that bowed due to the cracked/split frame. This person also gave me his thoughts on why the garage door had split and cracked. It was quite posssibly due to a frame assembly that lacked or was missing structural reinforcement. This other service business gets my suppot. I support his local Va. Beach garage door service. He is fair, reasonably priced, and best of all, he is honest. read more
