This was a great car buying experience. We purchased a certified pre-owned 2016 Ford Taurus. Found the vehicle online, and although this wasn't the closest dealer to our home, they had the exact car we wanted. Originally requested info from their web site and got hooked up with Mike Batch. He was great to deal with from start to finish. Explained the features of the car and we took it for a test drive and knew it was the right car for us. They evaluated our trade in and gave us what we considered a pretty fair valuation. We got an "out the door" price after trade that we were happy with and then went to the finance guy, to finish all the paperwork. The experience had been great so far, but this is where I expected the arm twisting to begin. But the finance guy (Brett was his name I think, sorry I'm terrible remembering names) was great to work with too. He did present options for extended warranties and road hazard insurance but didn't try to pressure us when we said we weren't interested. I usually leave the finance guy's office angry but this was a refreshingly pleasant experience. I guess I should mention we did not finance the purchase, we paid cash, so I can't speak to that process, but it was nice that they didn't try to pressure a lot of extra worthless add-ons in the finance office. After we were all done, Mike sat in the car with us to make sure we understood all the features, which was appreciated. I had researched the car and thought I knew everything about it but he taught me a few things. I did end up having to follow up the next morning, because I realized I'd left an item in our old car and also was having trouble with the 3 month trial of the Sirius radio. Called up Mike, stopped by for a few minutes, and he took care of everything. Can't say enough good things. We really love our car and the purchasing experience was much better than we've had at most dealers we've been to. Would not hesitate to recommend to friends and family. Poor customer service. My girlfriend has had her car in twice for warranty repair. The first time she dropped it off on friday and was told it would be monday before they could look at it. No loaner offered. The second time, again for warranty issue, they didn't have the part and had the car all day but never thought about a loaner. A few days prior to going back into Walker Ford, the salesman gave us a window sticker copy of two vehicles, one less expensive than the other. We made a decision to go in and buy one of those. When we got there, he had a car ready for a test drive, it was the correct model, but different package that was $5000 higher. During the test drive, we asked the salesman several questions about how things worked. Some he admitted to not knowing, and others we were not comfortable with his knowledge. We asked to see the manual, and he said they keep those locked up. Even when we got back, the manual was not offered to us to read. We liked the car, but it had more accessories than we needed or really wanted. He kept saying he could bring the price down to the same as the other vehicle, because this one was on the lot and the other one would need to be brought in. His final offer after discounts was still $3000 higher than the window sticker of the car we wanted. We felt very pressured into buying the car we test drove, but we left without signing and told him we would likely be back the following week. Judging from the reviews, I'm guessing I'm one of the few with bad experiences. My first experience at Walker Ford was upsetting. I was alone, and I told the salesperson that I was looking for a used vehicle. He glanced at the lot and said he didn't have many and that everything else is likely out of my budget. As I was telling him that I could be flexible, he walked away from me mid-conversation. Wow, rude. My second experience was yesterday, and I brought a friend, trying to give it another go. I told him what I was looking for, but he kept all conversation directed at my friend (who isn't even in the market for a car)! The salesperson gave my friend his card, ignoring me in the process. UPDATE: Due to the manager reaching out to assist me, I visited Walker ford for a third time, and the salesperson (Andrew Hyman) was great. He turned this into a more positive review. What happened to Walker Ford. It is like they do not care any more about the customer, doing the right job. Nothing. I have purchased many Fords through them, everyone I know I sent to them. Never again. I came in for a $150.00 Trans fluid and filter. $500 later I find that they broke the cooler line and had to replace the cooler and line. I guess the guy could not figure out how to release the line clip. No filter change, my white truck came back smelling like trans fluid, and covered in grease. Have you ever tried to get grease out of leather??? Their attitude was more of a make wrong leaving me feeling that my loyalty to Walker was mis-placed. My treatment there in November 2018 should have triggered at least a call to make things right?? Nope nothing they do not seem to care at all. I have purchased 10 cars and trucks there, not a valued customer?? WOW I just got my new F250 Platinum, from another dealer and I can assure you the experience there was so much different I wish I had gone there all along. I purchased a car from this dealership in October putting money down in order for them to build me my car as I wanted a 2016 Ford Fiesta Titanium. Unfortunately, the salesperson that sold it to me subsequently had quit the dealership in midstream and the communications that followed were spotty at best. After tweeting about my experience the dealership reach back to me and reassign me a person that definitely seem to care about their job and the way their customers were being treated. I recently went in for my very first oil change and scheduled maintenance. I was able to book this online and was pleasantly surprised to even find a same-day appointment. I went in in the early afternoon. The entire process took about an hour and a half which is pretty lengthy for an oil change however they do rotate the tires and provide a 36 point checkup of your car including topping the fluids off. As for the waiting area there are several chairs and high topped barstools available for seating. There are magazines, newspapers, and a creative loafing been for reading. The high death TV is playing Bay news nine which can get kind of old if you're there for a longer period of time but it's nice to be able to catch up on the news instantly. They provide free coffee in the refreshment area but if you'd like a soda water or juice you have to pay for that in the vending machine as well as any snacks. At the time that I was there I wasn't able to use a credit card on the machines however thankfully I had some change in my pocket. So prepare for that. There's also a fairly decent wireless connection so you could potentially play games on your phone or a tablet or even a laptop. Overall as far as dealerships go these guys definitely have some key players that care about you but potentially can always get someone who doesn't so my advice is if you don't really like the person you're dealing with at the organization just mention it to someone else and I'm sure that you'll be taken care of. read more

After dealing with incompetence at AutoNation Lincoln I had my car towed here. AutoNation claimed no one around had the part I'd need but Walker Ford had the part in stock and my car fixed within 24 hours of arrival. Dan was very pleasant to speak with and made more of an effort in the first phone call than anyone at AutoNation Lincoln made the entire time. I did not want to write this review but after trying to contact Mr. Walker 6 Times and leaving messages for him to call me back with no response I feel I have no Choice. On April 29th, 2015 I purchased a pre-owned 2016 Ford Focus from Walker Ford, it had 22,315 miles on it. I was assured the vehicle was completely inspected and was ready to go. I was given a Pre-owned inspection sheet with everything checked off. September 18, 2017, at milage 26189 I heard strange noise when I applied brakes and car shuttered. I took it back to Walker Ford and this was What they found. Front and rear rotors are glazed and excessive rust ring. They machined rust off the rotors. Secondly they addressed the shuttering. They replaced the clutch in the RR transmission, replaced both axle seals and required hardware. So much for the completely inspected pre-owned vehicle inspection. December 18, 2017. Next at 27447 miles brakes were pulsating so back to Walker Ford. While I was getting that looked at I told them to change the oil because it was time for that. This is what they had to do. They found all 4 drums in need of turning. They turned all front and rear rotors. A few days later I noticed the oil change sticker on my window was peeling off. I checked it and they never changed the oil. A few days after the work was done I got a warning that my brake fluid was low. So after they worked on the brakes and bled them they never checked the fluid levels. So much for their "Multi Point inspection" sheet. December 4, 2018. I took my Focus to Walker Ford for the 30,000 mile checkup. They were to change the oil, rotate the tires and a variety of other checks. When I got the car back I noticed that my right rear tire had the same scuff mark on it that I had put there a couple of weeks earlier when I bounced off the curb. So I checked the tire pressure (one of the checks on their Multi Point Inspection sheet), all four tires had different tire pressures. 32, 34, 33 and 31. If they checked the tires they would have put the PSI to 35 PSI. I called Vince the service manager and he told me that maybe the service mechanics gauge was broken. That speaks for itself. Finally and this isn't a big thing but I got an E-mail from Walker Ford telling me it's time to get my vehicle inspected because it hasn't been serviced since December 19, 2017. So much for record keeping. I am going to resolve this problem by no longer taking my Vehicle to Walker Ford. There is a Ford dealing on 34th street. I think I'll give them a try. My advice based on my experience is to take any pre-owned car you buy from Walker Ford to an outside mechanic and have it checked. It could save you a lot of headaches. read more

Don't buy a f150 with eco boost !!! The new ones might not have this problem but I have a 2018 with very low miles and there is a recall because the phasers are faulty. There are videos on YouTube about the issue and there not good. Ford as a manufacture wont do anything to help you and will tell you that its up too the dealership to do anything. Absolutely no accountability!!! I took my truck to Walker Ford over a month ago when I got the recall notice and its been a nightmare to say the lease. They tried to fix the problem by updating the software in the cpu and it didn't work. So I took it back in and they told me that they were going to need to replace the phasers and it might take a little while. Then I was told that the phasers were on back order and it might be a week or so until they could install them. But then I find out that ford said to fix the problem by trying another cpu update. Mike in the service department told me that its just ford trying to take short cuts and that everyone knew that it wouldn't work. After wasting my time with all that they tell me that the phasers are in but now they need to wait for a parts kit and couldn't give me an eta because Ford headquarters shuts down until Jan. 4th to close out year end stuff. I called yesterday and spoke to Ryan and he told me that its the valve cover gasket that they are waiting for and its gonna be a couple months???? And to top it off after they did the software update there's a completely different noise happening and it sounds like something is rattling around inside the motor. I was assured that it isn't a big deal and its just the phasers. In the meantime I'm afraid to drive it and I am going to try to trade it in on a different truck when they finally get it fixed because to me it's damaged goods especially once they have to tear apart the top half of the motor. And now I hear there is a recall on the 4x4 system. Not feeling the FORD love at all and every time I see a f150 i just cringe !!!!!! Thanks for nothing FORD!!! read more

Just witnessed the worst experience all because the Sales manager Bill wanted to sell the car to someone else. Dan the sales person was great no problem with him at all. He was nice to our family and was willing to go above and beyond to assist my brother who was purchasing the car. Everything was going great until Bill the sales manager came in an ruined the deal asking us to pay $5000 down on a 2015 used vehicle. Bill had no consideration for us and was very nasty to my family asking us if the cosigner we were going to use had a lot of money. If you want a car dont go here. You are better off going to hyundai of new port richey. The people there are more friendly and more willing to work with you. When I was shopping to replace my old car I stopped here because they had a hybrid on lot that I wanted to see and test drive. I went to this dealer 3 separate times and dealt with 3 different employees. None of them seem to want to make a sale. 2 of the 3 times I went by myself but the third time I took my husband. Nobody to greet you upon entrance, not enough seating in lounge (had to sit outside), 1.5 hour wait for oil change, and nobody even went over anything with me (as far as future servicing, etc.). (2) Was in the market to purchase 2nd used car for our growing foster family. Had been in contact with Jay (salesman) and Dan (salesman) on a particular van for almost 2 weeks. From recalls to cleaning- we were in contact whole time. I get a call to let me know they sold it. This dealership is NOT family driven--just MONEY driven. I'm getting ready to purchase a vehicle in the next couple of months and I have already eliminated Walker Ford as a potential dealer for my vehicle. I sent my son to them because he was hearing a strange noise, and his warranty is almost up. They told him he had to give them a $100 inspection fee if the noise wasn't a warranty covered issue. Even if they didn't fix it. I don't feel like that's the way you should treat customers. Take a look at the issue...if it's warranty fix it, if not let him know how much it will cost and he'll decide if he wants to. That's the way it should be handled. When we arrived at 6:30pm - they had all four of them lined up for me to look at/test drive/purchase at my leisure. Even better? We got a great deal on our trade in, and a better price than was listed on the website or by other local dealers. The financing part was just as quick. I thoroughly enjoyed the lack of typical car-selling games that dealers use (i.e. let me check with my manager....20 minutes later) or the back and forth on niceties. I don't need to be my car dealership sales person's best friend - and don't plan on going to their grandkids baptisms or anything -- I just want to buy a car at a fair price. I was looking for a Mustang and went to Walker Ford. They had one that I was interested in and I made an inquiry and that's where the problems started. They must be desperate for sales because they texted, emailed and called constantly. I was told on numerous occasions that they were getting calls about the car and that it will not be there tomorrow and that I should put a down payment on it just to ensure that it would be there. I told them each time that if they get a buyer then sell it to them. Of course, the car was never sold. I do not enjoy dealing with car dealers in person therefore I prefer doing most everything over the internet or phone. I asked the sales manager specifically to please provide information on the monthly payment if I was to buy it. I never received a response from him instead they kept insisting that I come in. They just cannot get it through their heads that some people do not like high pressure sales. I am not interested in going in and being badgered into buying a car by a group of slick sales people. These guys are the highest pressure of high pressure sales. If you enjoy being called, texted and emailed constantly then these guys are for you- if not, then go elsewhere. read more

I went in with an issue- I had work done on my bumper 10months ago, I since had a leak coming in from my tail light, when I called, they made a quick assumption that my leak had nothing to do with the repair work months ago, I even mentioned that it may or may not be associated with the work done- when I came in they were still rude and made a snap decision that the work they did months ago had nothing to do with my current issue but they would look at my car as a courtesy. I told him that the work needs to be done regardless if it was covered or not. They came back after looking at my car to say that they forgot to to do something and that is why I had a leak. They said they would take care of the issue at no cost. That's the good part- but they shouldn't have assumed it wasn't their fault because I never assumed it was. The rudeness was unnecessary and not professional. That guy turned around after the fact and was nice at the end. Only one person was rude, the other two men were kind and never said anything one way or another. Thanks for taking care of the issue but next time don't assume something, not everyone is trying to scam- I just want the issue fixed. read more

This is my go to place for any servicing on my car. I've spent a lot of time here over the years and the service department is always friendly and helpful. They open early so that's convenient for us who work M-F. Saturday's are crazy, I avoid the place like the plague. While the waits can be long at times, they don't compare to other service departments I've been to. I explained to them how I believed I should have received a loaner and they apologized and said that was a Ford policy and not a dealership policy. Apparently Ford, specifically said loaners were not authorized for this specific recall even though it is an overnight repair.
