Whew! So glad I can always count on them and they're there when I need them. I was on my way to work but noticed I had low tire pressure on my left front tire. Stopped by to have them put air in, but there was a nail and it wasn't sealable. Got a new tire placed in there in a very short amount of time, just in time for me to quickly make it to work (I drive an hour away in St. Pete). Always fast and friendly with me here. Nice lounge. When I went back to ask about the thousand dollars rebate that the "giant " was going to give customers who bought a new car I was told, "Well, it was already figured in on the price". At that point, you know that it was a game that the owner of the dealership was playing. The car market is crazy now. Not a lot of fun car shopping. With that said, I kind of expected unpleasant experiences. Stepping into the dealership, I noticed a sales manager. His office was very close to the entrance that I used. The guy came out of the office wearing a scarf-like bandana or something on his neck. Not over his mouth or nose or any part of his face. We had a very unpleasant conversation with him basically ignoring everything that I asked. He kept a very unpleasant expression most of that time. Anyways, he called over Michael, a salesperson. I explained to Michael that I was knowledgeable about cars and the car I wanted to test drive. He asked me about making an offer. I told him that I would like to see the vehicle before discussing an offer. When he pulled the car around he started opening the doors and hatch and started talking about random features. I just watched. We finally got in the car after I insisted he put on a mask. Michael started fiddling with the radio. It was really annoying. He started talking about really random things. I had to cut him off and ask him specific questions. I asked him about the warranty advertised on their website. He was clueless. The test drive was a waste of time. He basically told me to drive in a circle and return to the dealership. Not helpful at all. I did end up buying a Subaru but not from them. I should've never stopped by there. I'm sad I can't give them more stars, I went into this business with high hopes and at first everything was great. We dropped off my husbands car For servicing at 9:45am for our 10am appt... 4 hours later we were told they just now were looking through the car. Strike One To no fault of there's the power went out due to a blown transformer, so all work and option to pay and write up estimates had to stop. We were told we'd get a call that evening to update us on everything- they never called strike 2 Following morning we called in to find out if the car would be worked on, and also an estimate. We were told $1666 which was already much higher than we anticipated, one of the items listed wiper blades for $300?! We were told the car would hopefully be ready Wednesday morning. We call in Wednesday morning, no ETA yet- we call about 2 hours later- still no ETA. Finally we get-a call in the afternoon that the car is ready. We drove down to pick up the car and now the total is $1800! Strike 3 We were seriously considering buying a car form this dealership too, the sales guys were awesome, but this service experience put a bad taste in my mouth. our daughter took her 2016 Outback for a check up with the service department. They "checked out" the car ($400 charge) and then said that she needed $8,000 worth of work done - a whole new set of tires (hers were replaced in July) because there was a nail in the side of one of the tires. And they said that her seal was bad on her oil pan and wanted to replace it at a cost of $3,000. We went and picked up the car and said no thanks. Took it to our neighborhood repair shop and they said the car was in great shape and didn't have an oil pan issue nor did any of the tires have a nail. BEWARE when you go there - they will find ways to get money from you on issues that don't exist. read more

Im speechless. This is the best Subaru Superstore EVER!!! I'm seventeen and I've had my license for a year now. I came out of school and my parents drove me to this location (as a surprise) and purchased a 2019 Subaru Crosstrek. The most dependable car ever. The product specialist, Joseph "Skippy" Misco, is hands down the most kind, helpful and accommodating person I've ever met. Joseph helped my parents with all the economic matters and took his own time to talk to me about the car and all its cool features/gadgets. It took quite awhile to finalize all the paperwork so he bought my mom and I a candy bar to ease the time. It was quite a coincidence that at this time, this Subaru Superstore was using most of the proceeds from bought cars to send to Southeastern Guide Dogs. My dad has a service dog and so we all came in as a family wanting good service and that's exactly what we received. I drive to school everyday and my heart fills with joy. I love the car and it's made me such a happy girl. The commercials don't lie. If it's a Subaru than it's made with love and you will feel the love right back. It's great on gas and most importantly I'm safe on the road. I have roadside assistance and among other great safety features. If you're thinking of buying/leasing a car, this is the place for you. I had heard amazing things about the previous Mastro Subaru but ever since they got bought out by this Myers Auto Group they have gone down hill. I started my experience with speaking to a Internet sales person named Jennifer. She was very rude and ignorant. She would not answer any of my questions properly and obviously had zero knowledge about any of the Subaru models. I was looking for a Outback. You would think working for a dealership you would know these vehicles in and out but she couldn't even tell me the trim levels properly. I had to look them up myself on the Subaru website. Before I arrived to the dealership I specifically requested not to speak with Jennifer when I came in but yet she was the one to greet me. Not a very good way to start an experience. I was handed off to a sales person by the name of Gabe. At first he was knowledgable about some of the vehicles features but after a while he seemed to just keep saying "Im not sure".. Seems to me like no one here knows what they are talking about. When it came to talking numbers on an incoming car that i basically sold to myself he seemed to have zero interest in actually selling me the car. While discussing pricing he spoke to me as if I could never afford this car even though I was willing to pay cash. After feeling completely offended he brought his manager. (Not sure of his name) but at that point I had had zero interest in purchasing a car from this dealership. I left without making a purchase. The following day I then received another follow up call from Jennifer who then showed little to zero empathy about the terrible experience I had. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP! When I paid for my service and got to my car the glove box was on the floor board and was missing the cabin filter....but according to the service department my car was ready. Wow...okay. The whole point of bringing my Subaru to a Subaru dealership was for the confidence that my car and me would be taken care of with dignity, respect and the expectation that I could trust the service. Thank you to the manager who was kind of to tell me not to be upset, there could worse things. You're right it could have been worse, but I demanded to have my car rechecked before I drove it off the lot. If you want spend money on car service and expect to get your car back if not in the same shape your brought it in, but better then this might not be the place for you. Mike the sales guy was great. ***BEWARE*** of financing options. Prior to sitting down with their financing and purchasing my vehicle, I verified with Sun Coast their rates with my credit score. The Finance Manager stated they sent out financing options to 10+ banking institutions and stated my primary bank Sun Coast Credit Union declined me and they would have to go through one of their Nat'l lenders at a rate of 4.87%. ODD, right? I immediately called Sun Coast and they said they had my application and just approved it for 3% interest. What Subaru does is gets perks having primary lenders such as Chase who has higher at the cost of their customer. Kind of shady. Do your research on financial options before sitting down with them knowing Credit Unions typically have much better interest rates. read more

The sales side of things was fine - informative and not pushy, helpful all-around. I would buy from Tommy again... EXCEPT for the fact that I will not do business here or with Subaru again thanks to the service dept. We have had issues with the stereo in our Crosstrek since we bought it, and I luckily (or so I thought), I did buy the electronics warranty that the dealer offered when it was time to finalize the deal. We've been dealing with the issues for over a year and a half. I finally brought it up at our last service appointment in March and the gentleman I spoke to, whose name escapes me because I misplaced his business card, told me he would upgrade the stereo w/ the deductible due to my purchased warranty and to contact him if we would like to move forward so that he could order parts. Fast forward a few months and as the stereo gets worse I keep contacting the service dept to let them know the story and try to get the contact info for the guy I talked to, who was seemingly so helpful. Instead of being able to get ahold of this guy, I talk to some other folks who tell me I'm basically beat, to go spend $400 on an aftermarket stereo, that they can in fact NOT upgrade the stereo, even with my electronics warranty. They tell me that they can order the "same exact system, and it will have the same issues, so why bother." That's it. They make no effort to make good on this obviously glaring issue that is directly related to the car's electronics. I tried to follow-up but never heard back. So I spent over $1000 on a warranty that I can't use when I actually need it, and instead I should go spend another $400 on top of it to resolve this increasingly problematic issue. Go figure. Their mishandling (and misleading!) of the issue not only cost them our business for service going forward, but our business on the sales side. I was looking to trade my fairly new Toyota in for another Subaru, but not with these stereos and not with these customer service issues. Looking at Hyundai, Kia, and Honda, since they all have AWD models too and are still high on the safety charts. So bummed because I've stood by Subaru and loved them, even after issues I've had in the past with head gaskets, etc. read more

Bought a Honda CrV in September 2020--FOUR months ago! paid cash and extra fees for out of state title work and plate transfers---we live in Ohio--long story short have expired temp.tags on an out of state vehicle for over a month now...we cannot drive the car because Subaru South Tampa took sooo long the state will not issue anymore temp tags...4.5 months later still NO title or paperwork....no return phone calls...the business manager...Julio has not followed up or returned my calls...his voicemail is ALWAYS full...not sure what kind of manager he is but avoid their used car sales side of the business. The fucking worst! I called asked if they're able to change my tires on 8/26 and told them that I have a warranty that covers my tires and told me that I would have to come in for them to look into my account to verify if I have that warranty. Tell me how that makes sense! In my experience, all they'd have to do is look into your account. They asked me where I got my car and told me to call them instead of looking into my account. I drove there and they denied to look into my account to verify my warranty to refused to assist me. When I requested to speak to a manager, a sales manager came out and the sales manager came to only tell me that he can't help me cause he's in sales and he's not in the service department. I got a hold of the Subaru dealership that I purchased my car at and they spoke to one of the guys who refused to help me. I forgot his name but he's an older guy with white hair with a big belly. He started to argue with the person on the phone only to find out that he was wrong and realized I do have a warranty. If he only listened and stopped to think! What a fucking money hungry guy who wanted to make a sale!! He never apologized and said hey, it looks like we can change your tires today. I waited 1 hour to only find out that he "forgot" to tell me that they don't have it and that they have to order tires for me. I asked for my car and they took 30 mins to get my car get my car back. 90 minutes wasted and no tires changed because a guy refused to help me! read more

UPDATE:**** I received a call from one of the owners letting me know that they were sorry for my experience and told me that the car mentioned below couldn't be sold because it had additional roof damage. He even said that they would be willing to do whatever they could get me into another car, but the one I wanted just couldn't be sold and another exactly like it wasn't available. I looked at their inventory today and here is the same car. Listed back at full sticker or they did find another exact car by some miracle. The car is listed back on their site at full sticker price...4 days later. So, the true motive for canceling my lease agreement was for profit, not out of concern for my satisfaction as a customer. Maybe I was out of line for asking for compensation for delivery a damaged car?! OR maybe Mastro Subaru was out of line for wasting hours of my time, running my credit, trying to put me in a damaged car, canceling the agreement, and then telling me they couldn't sell the car or find one similar only to sell the same car on their lot 4 days later at full price. I spent 4.5 hours on Monday negotiating a deal for a lease on a 2014 Legacy Sport. When the night was over, the only thing left was for them to bring the car from their sister store in Orlando. Went today to pick the car up and there was noticeable damage to the roof of the car. They offered to first try to "pop it" out and buff it...if that didn't work they said they would send it to the body shop. The sales manager, Ronnie, joked and said it was just a lease so it was no big deal. I said I am still paying money for it, so it is a 'big deal'. What if I want to purchase the car after my lease - it has already been damaged. He said at least I was upfront about the damage. Really? So, are you not usually upfront when a customer's new car is damaged?! I let his remark go and proceeded to the finance department. I asked if there were any compensations that could be offered since the car was damaged. Stephen (finance officer) called Ronnie back in. Ronnie asked what I thought was fair. Roof crossbars. He said he couldn't do that because they were too expensive and he already wasn't making much on the car. He then added because I was a Truecar certificate holder he had to pay them $200, which prevented him from giving me any more discounts. So, you are saying you are making me pay for your relationship with Truecar?! He offered $100 towards any accessory, which covered nothing really. I ended up telling Stephen I wasn't comfortable signing for the car until it came back from the shop and I was able to see the finished work. Stephen agreed. I then decided that it would be best if they were able to just find a car without damage and I would sign for that one. Stephen said they would look to see what could be done. 15 minutes later Stephen calls back and said they were not able to find a comparable vehicle and in the interest of Mastro's business they were opting to cancel the agreement. They said that way I am not upset and they don't lose anymore money on the deal. Well, they were half right. My assumption is they are going to send the car to the shop and then sell it to someone else a full sticker price. Quick Summary: Very friendly staff! They all worked with me through a very challenging purchase conditions. Didn't get a pressured feeling to purchase, and worked with me every step of the way! Love the free oil changes for life! It has been a very busy few weeks in Tampa. I'll spare you the details of the conditions around my purchase, but for context it was complex involving out of state co-applicants, with no established residency in FL and a car that would ultimately end up in VA. Despite all of this weirdness, they were very friendly and worked with me every step of the way, being very patient with the paper work. Additional update to the work that Mastro completed. My last review mentioned how they had me wait another 30 minutes because they told me "the last people that worked on your car cross threaded your studs." I told them that they were the last people to work on it and I was received with "oh, well we'll replace it anyway." About three weeks ago, I go to do my own tire rotation in order to avoid more problems. As I'm removing my rear driver's side tire, it turns out they cross threaded a stud AGAIN. It was a pain to remove and now I have to replace the rear wheel bearing hub out-of-pocket (~$150 and a few hours of my time). I immediately emailed them to let them know and I have not received anything from them in three weeks. I have absolutely no idea who's working on my car but it's been problem after problem. Mastro, hire more experienced workers. THREE bad valve stems and TWO cross threaded studs is far too many problems when all the dude had to do was a simple tire change. read more

Nice but Aggressive. I said I wanted a white premium trim, they gave me a grey basic trim to test drive, and tried to push that one on me. When I was about to walk they "found" two white premium trims on the lot. Which I had seen coming in. I had emailed back and forth with them but not really gotten anywhere before coming in.
