For food we got nachos and these disappointed due to chips absorbing all of the fryer grease and the cheese sauce not tasting like cheese, assuming it is some kind of béchamel but no discernible cheese flavor. Random Sunday in December. No live music and it doesn't matter. This is the PERFECT place to gather with a couple of friends or a large group of friends. This place is everything you'd want in a local brewery. Super chill, not at all pretentious. The fire pit is massive and gives off a ton of heat once it's been on for a bit. IF the weather is crap, then there's plenty of heated/ covered patio or you could chill indoors and play darts and watch TV. The food truck is currently open Th - Sun and everything is made fresh to order. It has an extensive menu that has something for vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters alike. We came specifically for beer and pizza - as listed on the menu on yelp. Well that's wrong - no pizza anymore but a food truck on site. Staff didn't seem to care about outdated website menu. Beer was ok. Ambience is dive bar inside with lawn outside - But you have to walk through the smoking area to get there. So needless to say, it didn't feel very family friendly. read more

Still one of the best. Not a place that stays open for a late night although if they have a sizable crowd they may ignore the clock. And it's maybe odd that is comment on this but they have made one of the nicest backyards. One that everyone would like to have. And the people working there??.......they are all like someone that you wished were your neighbor. Their food truck is only there two or three days but still has made me one of the best burgers I have ever had. We ordered a couple of beers and headed out to their large backyard area with lots of tables, grass and a fire pit (for colder weather). We found a great covered spot and sat down to relax. We had our puppy who just loved all of the grass. It was such a relaxing day we could have stayed there for a while. I was in town on a business trip. My last call of the day was located to a brewery that I liked. The last time I had been there was during Covid. I couldn't recall the name and couldn't quite remember where it was, and wasn't finding it. I checked the Yelp-O-Tron, and still wasn't finding it. I did find this place, and figured that maybe I just got the name wrong. While it was close by, it wasn't the same place. I finally gave up, and went inside. I was the first customer of the day. I sat at the bar, and ordered a pint from the young man behind the bar. There was an older fella sitting at the end of the bar, Don Younger-fashion, drinking a pint. They asked if I wanted to sit outside. I said no, that I was a child of western Oregon and preferred the shade to the sun. They recommended that I go out and look anyway, so I got up and walked out to look. I was blown away at how beautiful it was. Nice grass, games, chairs, fence, lighting. There is a food truck, but it was too early to be open yet. They did an excellent job. I went back in to drink my beer. I chatted both of them up. Turns out the fella sitting at the end was the brewer that started and owned the joint. We got on pretty well. We talked about why I was there. I told him I was there on business, and that I had been looking for this other brewery when I found his place. He said that it was likely Opposition Brewing, and I said yes. He said that they had gone out of business. I ordered a second pint. The younger guy had to leave and left the bar in charge of a young woman. We talked for a while about where she was from and the fires of four years ago. I bought a jar of their dill pickles. Meanwhile, a steady stream of people had been coming in the front door. Unfortunately, I had to leave and head north. The beer was most excellent. The pickles are still working their way through my sandwiches. And the outdoor area is extremely pleasant. I would go here every week if I lived in the area. I will be back again, though. read more

This place is unassuming from the outside, but it's worth investigating. Located in an industrial area, it is an oasis. Literally. The rear area is grassy and lush with picnic tables, misters, and shade cloths. They have their own food truck which provides delicious burgers and nachos with an array of sauces. Beets are good too. We sampled several, including crimson sky and a wheat beer before settling on the Jabberwocky, a nod to Alice in Wonderland. Sitting socially-distanced inside and outside is very doable here. Had an absolute blast here. I've been to several brewery tours and this was easily the best. It's a small operation where you can see how much care and effort they put into their craft. Cameron was super cool and explained the beer making process from start to finish. Did I mention they have bomb-delicious pizza too? The atmosphere was comfortable and cozy, my entire family felt extremely welcome here. Next time I'm in Southern Oregon I'm coming in for a pint and a pizza. Great brewery across the street from a giant distributor. This is a true David and Goliath of quality over quantity. Walkabout serves the locals good craft brew made on location from a great up and coming brewer. When I came here the tap room was not ready to be open to the public but I did get to check it out and its really nice inside. I did however get to try the brews they have to offer. They do a nice run of Jabberwocky Ale which is a English Strong Ale, two IPAs one called Point the Bone and the other is Redback. I only tried the Point the Bone its a nice balance of malts and hops. I also tried Workers Pale Ale which is a nice American pale ale that packs a nice punch to your palate. If your in Southern Oregon and want to get in good with the locals hop on over to Walkabout and have some good conversation paired with some good brew. We stopped by this excellent brewery on our way through town. If you stop by, hope that you have Erin working behind the bar. She is awesome. On her advice we did a 50/50 blend of the two beers we initially purchased. One was the Jabberwocky and the other the Workers Pale Ale. It was a great blend. The price of a pint was $4.50. We are from Seattle and that is lower than we usually find, even during happy hour. Growler fills are $8.00. It almost makes me want to move to Medford! I went here for the first time with a group of friends and this place is great! There is a nice space inside, but outside is amazing! The patio area was shady enough to sit while the sun was still out, and after the sun set there were cool lights that kept the space well lit. The staff were super friendly and informative. The food was amazing (we got the chicken pesto nachos, pepperoni pizza, chicken enchiladas and pretzel to share between all of us) and all of it was delicious! Will definitely be back! read more
