Favorite beer garden to enjoy a frosty brew! Creative, inviting, and nothing but good vibes! If you're lucky you'll catch some good live music!! Good for any kind of weather. Fire pits in the winter, and ado quite shade for summer. Family friendly, dog friendly. Just an all around good time! And good beer is definitely a plus!

So... We just had the best time! Kimber the Ale Wife served us. We got tasters of every beer on the menu. She was a wealth of information about the flavors and brewing of the beer. I'll definitely be back.

Came last year and we're about to go again today--was checking out yelp and floored that there weren't more reviews of this AMAZING place!!! The beer is AWESOME (will update review when we go today but hubby is a beer snob and was impressed with the selection and quality last time:) Despite being a relatively small place they also had a nice array of snacks (loved the marinated veggies and kiddos loved the popcorn). Highly recommend--we plan on going every time we're visiting the area.

The owners and brewers Kimber & Dave are two of the kindest, most genuine folks around and it shows in the atmosphere they've created.

There is usually a food truck but this time there were two good options. Both were doing good business. There are places to sit inside and outside. Dogs are allowed only outside. One thing I would note is that they didn't have umbrellas for the outdoor tables and only one table was in the shade. Since we had our dog we couldn't sit inside. So we were hot and had to put on baseball caps to help. The staff are friendly and helpful.

With around 24 drinks available ranging from mostly ciders to some beer and even kombucha there is plenty to drink for anyone! There was even some non-alcoholic options. Great seating available with 3 semi permanent food trucks outside (with hibachi, fried chicken, and Hawaiian options) Inside is very pretty with some nice merch you can buy as well. Bingo and trivia alternating on every other Wednesday. There was only one person manning the bar but she was keeping up with demand excellently and even proactively cleared glasses when they were empty. I can't wait to go back!

We went in at dinner time on a Thursday. We were seated right away without a reservation, but you can make one online. I could see them being busy on a weekend or a busier part of the season. There are tables for groups from 2-6. They also had some pinball and other games in the back (as well as some board games in a side room). We didn't find out the ins and outs of the games, but it makes it feel like a place you are welcome to stay at for a while. They had a great kids menu. Our girls both wanted pizza and the observant server recommended they share a pizza because they are not small. It was accurate and kept us from having a whole leftover pizza, even though the prices were reasonable and it would have been a good value. The two adults shared the spicy cauliflower from the appetizer menu and the quesacarnitas tacos. Both were seasoned well, very flavorful, and all around delicious. The cauliflower wasn't super spicy, but it was super tasty so we weren't mad. The place is a brewery but we had cocktails. My husband said it was the best margarita he had on our trip and tasted like it was made with quality ingredients. My Paloma was also good! Overall, we were super pleased with our visit. Gluten free items are marked clearly and there is also a gluten free bun and pizza crust to choose from. Highly recommend before or after a play or a day of shopping in the Main Street area of Ashland.

Will not be coming back. The issue is professionalism. While eating and watching the U.S. soccer match, the bartender asked a waitress if she was rooting for Team USA. Her response, loud enough for customers to hear, was, "Fuck no." Whether you support the team or not is your personal choice. But as a paying customer, it's not appropriate to make comments like that in front of guests who are there to enjoy the game and their meal. The food was mediocre, but the atmosphere made the experience worse. Respect for your customers should come before personal opinions while you're on the clock. I won't be returning, and I can't recommend this restaurant based on my experience.

Happy Hour Wednesday to Sunday 2pm-6pm ($4 pints during HH) I had the toasted coconut chocolate porter, shared the dough bites off the HH menu along with the ahi entree and tiramisu cheesecake with my lady. Host staff was very hospitable which is always a plus upon arrival. HH was happening when we arrived so we chose the herb dough bites off that menu, along with 2 house chardonnays. Dough bites were underwhelming to say the least. Some were hard and some were soft and chewy. They were served with a grainy Dijon mustard and some sort of an aioli sauce. Marinara sauce would have been more appropriate. On to the entrees. I chose the ahi tuna salad and my hubby went with a basic burger. His opinion ... just a burger. Fries were fresh and yummy. My ahi tuna salad came with passion fruit vinaigrette and unfortunately it was super tart and not good at all. Make sure to have them give you a taste before you commit. I asked for a side of balsamic dressing but unfortunately the passion fruit one was already overwhelming it. I know not to order seafood in bar and grill but I thought I was safe with it incorporated in a salad. My advice ... stick with the basics ... beer and a burger !!!

I "SKOUTED" this place out all the way from Sacramento California. We're on a long roadtrip and I…read morewas looking for something beautiful and hearty to hold us over for the rest of our drive. This place truly exceeded our expectations. I love that the restaurant store front is opened wide, it makes it easy to approach and order at the counter. They have a very large variety of alcoholic drink options and some very tasty non alcoholic options as well. Even though we sat outside about 5 tables down, they still came by to deliver our food to us instead of having us waiting inside. The food was amazing. Meat was juicy, bread was perfect, both the sides of fries and house made chips were delicious. The ranch tasted like it was house made as well but I forgot to ask them. My cider was great and my partner got a strawberry slushy- both did not disappoint. The overall theme inside is adorable! It's got a lot of wooden pieces and a camping trailer inside really ties the theme together nicely. There is plenty of tables and shade outside and lots of indoor seating as well. Bathrooms are super clean and clearly well maintained by the folded toilet paper roll. The only thing I will say is if you're going to sit outside expect outside things to happen. There was a lot of flying debris from around the creek due to someone down the way doing outdoor maintenance. Despite this, my partner and I thought it was worth it to hear the running water and be in such a beautiful area for lunch. I would scream my recommendation from the roof top if I could. Thank you for a great meal!

Location, location, location!…read more At Skout tap house all three meanings are working in the restaurant's favor. First, Ashland is a great LOCATION to grab a bite before braving the mountain passes on either side. Within the town the Skout building is LOCATED at the edge of the creek and beautiful Lithia park, and finally the Skout LOCATION itself is a building comfortably decorated with a camping themed ambiance. We ordered the Ultra Meltathon (grilled cheese), a Brisket sandwich, and truffle fries. The Skout version of a grilled cheese, augmented with bacon and jam, was the standout for us. The thin cut and crispy truffle fries were also very good and were gobbled up quickly. On the other hand the brisket was a bit dry but serviceable today rather than a standout. Maybe add some bbq sauce to elevate it a bit? I loved the curated craft beers on tap so check these out if so inclined. See the pics for a glimpse of the roll-up door window that opens to the park, the inside tables and camper, and of course the food. Probably a 4.5 but rounded to 5 stars because of ... location, location, location!
