Staff is friendly with the exception of one employee, one time, who answered the phone with 2 people (one was my wife) waiting in line to check out, walked off without a word and didn't come back. Needless to say, after waiting several minutes for the girl to come back my wife and the other customer put their items back and left. Great store. Inexpensive with broad range of products.

I could go on to tell so MANY examples of this, but this review would turn into a book. Pharmacy Employees are very unfriendly and do not ever accept fault or apologize for anything. Not one time. They actually immediately get defensive and rude when they realize they have messed up in some way. This is unfortunate and maybe these employees should consider a new carreer path where they deal with less people or better idea, work on improving their professionalism and kindness!

In my opinion it was not the type of place you want to be after dark. The gas prices were high, and the food counter looked like it needed a good cleaning and replenished with fresh fried chicken and fries. Got my gas and food and was happy to get in my car and get out of that place, and that area.

I will NEVER give this store my patronage again. I had to buy some cold medicine for my roommate…read moreand I figured it'd be quicker to pop into the Family Dollar than to go to Food Lion. Everything was fine until I got up to the counter. The lady was nice enough to look at me like I was stupid because I wanted to check out my items, didn't acknowledge me beyond that, and then continued talking to her coworker behind the counter treating me like I was a nuisance to their conversation. She was so condescending that she actually proceeded to throw a ball of paper she had crumpled up onto the counter in front of me instead of in the trash, and her coworker had to come over and take it. I had four items and it took five minutes for her to ring them up because she was so preoccupied with her conversation, and I couldn't pay until they had been scanned. Then, before I could swipe my card, she held my bag over the counter which was fine, but when I went to take it, she grasped it tightly and glared at me. So I had to swipe my card and awkwardly enter the pin with her dangling my bag in front of my face and refusing to allow me to take it because I hadn't paid. Why she couldn't just leave it behind the counter instead of dangling it next to my head is beyond me, but she seemed to have decided that because I was a younger client I wasn't worth doing the job she's paid to do. Nothing like being treated like a nuisance, having trash thrown in front of me, and then treated like a thief. Seriously, just go to Food Lion instead. Save yourself the humiliation.

When I spoke with Deanna at Wellness, she told me that they too were out of stock. It wasn't only the fact that she referred me to a competitor, but the sincerity in her voice and her desire to help me. It is rare when you experience empathy from a store. As if the Universe wanted me to get this message out - as I was writing this review, Deanna called me back because she had searched and found the name of the second source. Wellness encompasses compassion and care - thanks for providing me with both today, Deanna.

The store is organized by color, almost rainbow-like with the red stuff and the blue stuff and the purple stuff. Once you work out which color (scent) you like, it's easy to find more things that are in the same "flavor." Soaps, candles, body washes and the like. Prices are decent and there's a BOGO sort of thing going on. Gifts! Yay!
